I purchased a gun from Joe via Gun Broker.
Advertised as "excellent condition", so I paid $1475 for a gun that normally goes for about $1000. Which was fine with me.
First time to the range it fired horribly high and right and had huge misfire and feeding issues.
He offered to send me a spring kit! How do you fix the sighting issue with a spring kit???
Upon further inspection I found the barrel was loose! I could unscrew it by hand! The hand tightening should stop around the 3 or 4 o'clock position then special clamps are used to torque it to the 6 o'clock alignment marks.
This was a catastrophic problem.
He said he hadn't even fired the gun before selling it and asked me to return it for repair by his local military gunsmith.
When I asked what was found, he said he didn't know. Which tells me it never went to a gunsmith. They give invoices with detailed complaints and remedies. This is how they are responsible for their work.
When it came back to me, it fed better, the misfires were worse, and the alignment of the sights was at least as bad.
At this point he refused to help me further.
I'm pursuing all legal remedies. I have full documentation for every word above. Emails and photos.
Had he been an honest dealer, he'd have immediately referred me to his alleged "gunsmith" who would have stood by the work performed.
I'm appalled at this lack of honesty.
I expected better from someone in Utah. They're usually good people there.
Looking at the other bad reviews, it sure seems incredible so many people are all making up stories about someone for no honest reason.
I am appalled at this business. read more
