I was in town on vacation and hadn't been shooting in many years, and so when I saw the level of care and education that Rowdy's provides to their clients, I thought it would be a good fit! I was very right! They were super helpful in helping me to understand what sort of handguns are on offer (for rental) and what to expect both on the range and in the shop. The range felt very safe and even as someone with little experience I felt like I could manage without having an instructor. If you're truly new to shooting sport (like if you haven't ever held a gun before, you'd probably want to start with a class since this experience was more hands off), but their staff is there to guide you through anything you could possibly need to know! Too hot to shoot in the desert, so I gave Rowdy's a try. Clean, nice looking shop, appears well stocked. Got assigned a lane and when I tried to get near my stall, there was a HUGE group blocking me every time I tried to move and completely taking up all my assigned space at the reload bench. I found out later they had five shooters on the lane next to me when Rowdy's own rules say it's four max. They also had others just watching sucking up valuable space in the tiny range. When I said something to an employee, he just wanted to swipe my card and get me moving out the door. read more

This is a really nice place as shooting ranges go. It's clean and well organized with lots of firearms on display. The range is excellent. Everything works, it's well ventilated and a couple of air conditioners keep it nice and cool in our St George heat. They have a nice selection of guns that can be rented and ammo is reasonably priced. The staff is very helpful and made the whole experience a pleasure. I'll definitely be returning. read more

From start to finish the expirence was fantastic! All the staff were professional, explained how to use the weapons in detail and made my partner and I feel at ease with any questions we had. Coming from New Zealand where handguns are banned (the Police aren't even officially armed), we like to find a range for some handgun practice whenever we are in the US. As I was staying around St George I did some research and Rowdy's Range & Shooters supplies came up with great reviews, so that was good enough for me. I found Rowdy's easily on Industrial Road. Its a lovely new facility with good parking. The best asset of this establishment is their staff. All credit to the team at Rowdy's. Everyone was so kind and helpful, regardless of who walked through the door, the excellent service was consistent. The facilities and services were top notch. It was nice too that there wasn't that attitude thing going on like I've found at other gun ranges.. When I come back to this lovely part of the country I will be back to see you guys. They treated me and my wife like we did not know what we were doing (we have been shooting for over 25 years) I spoke to a guy named Jason who was awesome. Their customer service rules. I'll spare you the long laundry list of above and beyond the call of duty services they've performed at no cost. I can't begin to put a price tag on all the advice, feedback and instruction they've hand out free of charge just for the asking. Suffice to say the services I've received from their incredibly awesome and knowledgeable staff has more than compensated me for my modest monthly membership fee. I went here to take the course required for the Utah concealed carry permit. The store is well stocked, the clerks knowledgeable and the atmosphere relaxed. Rowdy presented the course in a manner that anyone should find relaxed, informative and valuable. Anyone interested in gun safety would find the course right on target. Bought a Glock G43 from Rowdy's, $449, this was the lowest price in town matched only by Cal Ranch. But at Rowdy's I was able to take the gun along with others they recommended to their range and try them out. This is free if you go ahead and purchase the gun. I also took the CCW class they offer which was great. If you're looking for a gun or accessories I'd stop by their store and check prices. I was suprised. read more

Still a wonderful range and gun shop! Since my last review, the place has gotten way more popular. You may have to wait a bit for a turn in the range but still worth the wait. Sure hope they expand the range! We need this place to grow. read more

I'm a Californian, so this is kind of an outsider's view. The range itself was a bit smaller than I'm used to (6 bays? maybe 8?) but that may be because Utahns are allowed to shoot in more places, with more freedom than californians. Perhaps they simply don't need a 30 lane indoor range in St. George. Very friendly, professional staff. Clean range, Beautiful pro shop. Excellent rental supply, including suppressors and automatic firearms if I'm not mistaken. Training classes available as well. They don't' appear to have one of those stupid "2 seconds between shots" rules. Friendly customers. I took my Mom here for her first shooting experience, and it was a great trip all around. read more

This is a great place, especially if you are new to shooting. Very clean, and extremely nice people. Everyone I have ever met are very helpful and happy to talk about anything you want to know. Never felt out of place, and usually see all kinds of people there, not just what you may think of in terms of stereotypes. This is really a first class place. They have a great storefront with everything you could want or need, and have more than a dozen guns for rent to try out if you're trying to decide what works for you. I brought clients from China in for the afternoon because they were so intrigued by being able to shoot guns, especially the fully auto rifles they had for rent. A much better experience than shooting in the desert heat at rocks and cans. I knew of the place for years before I decided to go in and take a look. I had visions of "better than you" gun guys who know everything, but this was definitely NOT that place. I would take my mom there. Hands down the best range I've been to, but it's the people who really make the difference at Rowdy's. I came in for three straight days earlier this month and from the start I was welcomed and helped by the staff. Brett figured out that the magazine that came with my AR was bad, and with a new one everything was great. I talked to Rowdy about red dot optics and with his help had a real nice UTG installed on the gun. On my last day I was having trouble with all my shots going left and low and I thought it had to be me and I would correct this with more practice. So I was packing up to leave when Jason came over to see how I was doing. I told him about my problem and he wouldn't let me leave until he figured out what was wrong. Turns out I needed a riser for the red dot, and after installing it he dialed in the scope to perfection. I was back to putting my shots right where I wanted them. Jason probably spent 30-45 minutes helping me and never once did he make me feel like a rookie,novice, new comer. If anything he treated me as an equal. Now I don't live anywhere near Rowdy's in fact I drove 8 hours to get to Saint George but I'm not complaining. I wish I could take a couple of California gun shop and range employees with me so they could see the right way to run a gun business that believes in customer service first. Being completely honest and unbiased. Wanted badly to support local business, but notice most positive results are folks from out of town. Range is too small, items overpriced and would not match price of other excellent firearms dealers in town. Took a class there and it was a cluster from the beginning....lack of organization within company, classroom not large enough to accommodate class size, authorized personnel did not sign state documents had to refile. Not a good feeling for a weapons dealer to portray. Shoot in the desert and buy from a reputable dealer. This place is for the elderly. Will never set foot in there again. read more

Went to Rowdy's to get my concealed weapons permit. I have to admit, I am not very familiar with guns and equipment. The instructor was awesome, answered questions without being condescending and explained every aspect so that a uninformed person could understand. Also, the staff at the counter was awesome.
