This is a family owned business which says to me they care about customer service…read more I called and Connor was out the next day which happened to be a Friday afternoon. He had to order the parts and was back to my house Monday morning. Turns out the heating element was only part of the problem. Connor stuck with it until everything was fixed. It is without hesitation I would recommend this company to you.

We were a little apprehensive to "break in" a new repair company, but MCE came through with flying colors! Connor came to diagnose the problem, and he and Mark worked diligently to find the part for our oven, as Bosch had discontinued it. Mark and Connor came back and installed the part and also put a part we had on our older gas range. Their work was very professional and timely. Will certainly use them again.

He had almost sold out due to quarantine, had 2 washers to choose from. So I asked him to access which was better mechanically. 3 weeks later, so far, so good. Plus he delivered and installed for just a drop more. And was very thoughtful about not scraping the cheap vinyl I had just put in. Good guy. So this is a month later, using the old machine a lot, and it just started leaked from the bottom. Fernando came right over. Put a new pump and I'm good to go. Needs an extra

Update - Response to One Source. The FACT is One Source did NOT diagnose the problem with our oven,…read moreyet charged us $178 -- $68 of which was for a part that was NOT correct, NOT needed and NOT installed One Source NEVER told us the part was unavailable, (This story has certainly evolved over time.) Their tech told us he was unable to diagnose the exact problem because he could not find a wiring diagram (because of the oven's crazy "Canadian" origins). He thought is was "probably" the control board (an $800 nonrefundable part). I did NOT demand a full refund. I wanted the $70, charged for a part (thermostat) that was not needed (and was the wrong part anyway.) I became quite frustrated and hung up because Aaron was incredibly rude and condescending and had stated categorically there would be no refund at all. I didn't threaten -- I told him I would share my experience with this company, which I did.

I had some issues with my dryer, which has been working fine since needing a belt a number of years…read moreago. It suddenly wasn't finishing the drying cycle and a funny smell was coming from it that was quite strong. Not knowing who to call I went to NextDoor looking for recommendations which led me to Appliance Works. I left a message and the rest of our communication was via text, which was clear and prompt. I got enough info to satisfy me which led to an appointment a couple days later. Chris arrived within 10 or 15 minutes of the appt time, which was fine. He's an easy going guy who will take the time to explain what he finds and answer any questions. Truth be told, both my washer and dryer are each 40 years old. Kenmore made products to last and I've only needed servicing a few times in all those years. The funny smell was due to some holes worn in the hose and the hot air was escaping. Thankfully it's an electric dryer so no worry of gas. To save me money he securely taped it all up with that silver tape HVAC people use and that stuff really holds. He cleaned out the hose, which was long overdue, but not as bad as I thought it might be with dryer fuzz. Guess a lot escaped thru those holes. As far as it not finishing the drying cycle, he ran it twice and now it goes thru the whole cycle, so hopefully between taping the holes and cleaning the hose inside it'll be okay cos finding a new timer part with the age of the dryer would be a needle in a haystack. Suffice to say, I have zero complaints about my experience with Chris and the price was very fair. In fact, I had a toilet seat that needed replacing and he did that for me too!

Good morning, neighbors, I wanted to share a cautionary note…read morefor anyone looking for an appliance repair service. Please be aware of a company called Appliances Work (run by Chris Emeich). Chris came to my home on October 10th, took money to repair my washer, and has yet to complete the job. I've stopped receiving updates, and he will not respond to calls or texts. He briefly answered when my daughter called from a different number, but is now avoiding her calls as well. There are many honest and reliable repair companies out there-unfortunately, this has not been one of them. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Chris, and I'm sharing this so others can avoid going through the same situation.
