Update - Response to One Source. The FACT is One Source did NOT diagnose the problem with our oven, yet charged us $178 -- $68 of which was for a part that was NOT correct, NOT needed and NOT installed One Source NEVER told us the part was unavailable, (This story has certainly evolved over time.) Their tech told us he was unable to diagnose the exact problem because he could not find a wiring diagram (because of the oven's crazy "Canadian" origins). He thought is was "probably" the control board (an $800 nonrefundable part). I did NOT demand a full refund. I wanted the $70, charged for a part (thermostat) that was not needed (and was the wrong part anyway.) I became quite frustrated and hung up because Aaron was incredibly rude and condescending and had stated categorically there would be no refund at all. I didn't threaten -- I told him I would share my experience with this company, which I did. read more

They are quick to respond, and able to come within a day. the service man was pleasant and knowledgeable. I have used them before and I will again. Here's my issue with this particular case that bothers me. Apparently this model of Maytag dishwasher has a known issue with the start button because the control board gets wonky on that side and in some cases replacement parts aren't made and in others the whole control board has to be replaced, which costs more than a new washer (0ver $700). It would have been helpful to have this information before sending the guy out for a service call which was $130. Perhaps appliances have become so disposable they just collect service fees all day for a 20 minute calls because nothing is affordably fixable. read more

I had the worst experience with this company. My home warranty company assigned them to repair my ice maker. The technician came out and told me it was not possible to repair and had to be replaced. They futher told me that, due to the pandemic, the part was nowhere in stock. They told me they would contact my home warranty company and the home warranty company would call me with further steps. Several weeks went by and no one called so I called my home warranty company. They told me the repair company had turned my file in as completed. I explained to them what the technician had told me and had done and they attempted to reach the reapair company several times. This went on for two weeks. Finally the warranty company assigned my repair to another company, who found the part in one day and replaced the ice maker the next day. So, my review would be zero stars if that was an option. read more

Employee Brent is not a nice person. He is ugly on the phone and just got mad at me because I had to call him back because the problem with my refrigerator is still not fixed. instead of going back to check the same problem, he said he wanted to issue a credit, not fix the problem and I could go fly a kite. If one of my employee's ever spoke to one of my customers like this guy just spoke to me, he would be out the door. Terrible customer service. I had a warranty through Lowes Protection Plan Plus. called on broken refrigerator. Brian was suppose to come out but called and said too busy to make appointment could I send photo. which I did. This review is unusual in that One Source did not fix an appliance for us. In fact, they turned me down when I called them. I described the issue we are having with our two-year-old Samsung refrigerator. The agent requested the model number, which she researched while I waited. It turns out Samsung has issued a service bulletin for this very problem so One Source suggested I contact Samsung directly to have Samsung resolve the issue at Samsung's expense. When I spoke to Lowe's, from whom we had purchased the refrigerator, they politely told me that the one-year warranty has expired so we are responsible for the repair. Lowe's did give me One Source's phone number as a local repair service that works on Samsung appliances so they kind of helped, too. Have put in the first call to Samsung and am waiting to see if "resetting" the ice maker will resolve the issue (I don't see how it could, but there's plenty I don't know about refrigerators). The next time I do need an appliance repaired, I'll call One Source. read more

I needed my 10 year old washer fixed asap as it had stopped working in the middle of a load. I called One Source Appliance Repair as I had used them in the past with great results. They did not let me down. The repairman, Matt, arrived on time and saw that I needed a small part. He found a nearby shop that carried the part, retrieved it and repaired the machine. Can't even justify one star. Scheduled an "appointment " for today (Friday 12/27/2019 with a generous time frame of 12-5 pm). Not one call, no one showed. Spent my entire afternoon waiting. Tried to call just after 4 pm to see what was up. Just got VM saying they'll return call by 9 the next business day. Never again. read more

I closed my wall mounted microwave door and "poof" the lights, clock and control panel went dark. I realized from a past experience that it was probably was the internal circuit breaker fuse. I initially contacted Sears 1-800 number and their home visit rates were much too high. I then contacted a local Sears repair and their home visit prices were very good, however, they were unable to find me a repair person and wanted me to call back the next business day. After doing some research on electronic appliance repair, I contacted One Source Appliance Repair in Cary. Matthews came out on time and as scheduled. He removed the microwave from the wall and he quickly assessed that the problem was the internal fuse. He changed the fuse and charged me a reasonable rate minus the service call charge. Have a Samsung refrigerator common problem defroster hose plugged technician open refrigerator door and said that's the problem I understand 95 dollars service charge but to charge another 100 dollars to install a updated clip that too 10 minutes is pretty greedy. read more

The company replaced my pump pin my dishwasher. They didn't put the dishwasher back in properly and left the screws on the floor. Not great when you have little kids and a dog. I had to call to have them come back out. After they left the second, the flap on the bottom came loose. We will fix that ourselves or call another company. read more

I contacted them with the exact problem with my washer and asked for a repair quote. The lady on the phone would not give me one. She offered to send someone out but it would cost $65 for the service call... So basically $65 to get a quote. Her response was I can not give everyone a price that calls in, well ok I can't tell them to how to do business but I am here to give you my feedback and I thought this service was poor and they lost any chance of gaining my business. Luckily there are plenty of other appliance repair companies that were happy to give me a quote, in fact every other one of the 3 provided me a phone quote. Excellent service. Aaron came out to investigate our gas range issue where the oven would no longer light. The cost to repair it was about a 1/3 of the cost of a new range due to the cost of the part. Aaron gave us all our options and steered us in the right direction...getting a new range.
