I called Aire to diagnose an AC unit that had suddenly stopped working…read more To be fair, some diagnostic checks were performed. However, the actual cause of the problem was never clearly identified because most of the visit was spent trying to upsell us on additional services or a new unit. I was repeatedly told that the unit was old, poorly maintained, and that the best option was to replace it. The first repair estimate was around **$6,000** for a compressor replacement. Later, I was offered another option for about **$900** to replace the start capacitor and relay, along with a coil cleaning. We declined both repairs and simply paid **$224** for the service call. Afterward, I drove to Home Depot, bought a replacement start capacitor for about **$20**, and installed it myself in roughly **15 minutes**. The AC unit started working again. Will the unit fail again soon? Probably--it is old. But for now, it works. Could an experienced technician have identified and repaired this particular issue quickly instead of focusing on selling a replacement? In my opinion, yes. Decide for yourself whether you want to call Aire for **repairs**. Based on my experience, the emphasis seemed to be on selling a new system rather than diagnosing and repairing the existing one.

From the very first phone call, everyone at Aire Care understood the urgency of the situation and went above and beyond to help us. A special thank you to Eddie and Chris M. for making our situation a priority. They worked hard behind the scenes to rearrange schedules, get us a temporary window unit to keep my mom cool, and make sure our new Carrier system could be installed as quickly as possible. Their compassion and willingness to help during such a difficult time meant more to my family than I can put into words. I also want to recognize Chris R. and Ethan, our installers, who rearranged their schedules as well to make sure we were taken care of. They were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable, but what stood out most was the kindness they showed my mom. They were so sweet and compassionate when speaking with her, treating her with genuine dignity, patience, and respect. They answered all of my questions, treated my home with care, and made sure everything was installed properly. It was clear they truly cared about the people they were helping, not just the job they were there to do. Finally, a shout-out to Jeff Davis, the owner of Aire Care, for building such an outstanding team. It's clear that compassion, integrity, and customer service start at the top. Thank you for hiring such a fantastic crew and for showing genuine care and understanding during one of the most difficult times my family has faced. Because of all of you, my mother was comfortable, cared for, and cool when she needed it most. I can't thank the entire Aire Care team enough and highly recommend them to anyone looking for an honest company that truly puts people first.

One window of the replacement windows had cracked in the past few years and there were some basement windows that hadn't been replaced initially but now needed to be. I found Mr. Webb to be very polite, helpful, and knowledgeable. This is in addition to the fact that my parents' home was at least a 90-minute drive from his office in Knoxville. I have found that it is often difficult to locate businesses that are willing to do work that involves more than a few minutes of travel from their office location, so I was especially appreciative of his willingness to work with me. Mr. Webb scheduled an appointment to inspect the windows and was prompt in scheduling the follow up installation, even in the midst of supply issues during Covid restrictions. I found him easy to work with, and his installer was polite and worked efficiently, even in an unfinished basement with odd-sized windows. I would highly recommend Weather Tamer for replacement window needs.
