I recently took my Toyota Prius for a wash and wax here. I was charged twice the expected price for a large vehicle although my car is actually a small car. Since my car had a few marks on the back end due to parking under a tree, I agreed to pay this amount. However, the marks remained the same when I picked it up. My husband removed them with a compound fairly easily and then waxed the entire car. I'm not sure what I paid all that money for. I will NOT return to this business. read more

So there I was with my daughter getting a car detail for her "new to her" car. We saw great reviews and couldn't wait to her the car detailed. We ordered pa full detail with carpets washed. There were all kinds of high end cars which were all pretty new so we figured they would be careful. They said it would take a couple hours. Well, we went walking around the mall and we came back after calling to make sure it was ready. Mind you, they are one floor up in the covered parking lot, so the lighting is not necessarily the best. A first glance, it looked good, it was clean and the tires shined. We paid them our $200 and went on our merry way. Maybe a mile up the road I noticed dirt around the side view mirrors. Hmmm. Okay. It's not a huge deal but still, I paid for a detail not a car wash. Even with just a hand wash they should have clean it. Then I noticed dust behind the driving wheel. I didn't want to upset my daughter so I figured whatever. When we got home I decided to inspect it further. Well, the inside part of the door jams were still filled with dirt and leaves. Seriously!? Then I looked at the paint in the sunlight and it didn't looked polished at all. Then I noticed that they didn't even put any conditioner/shine on any of the bumpers or plastic trim. It goes on! There was still dirt imbedded around the edge of the windows by the rubber trim and they didn't even use a brush to remove the grim around the Limited Edition model symbol. You can see the pictures attached. I wouldn't be happy if this was just a hand wash, let alone I paid $200 for a detail, not to mention the 20% tip. WTF?! Mind you, I used to detail cars, so I felt totally ripped off and most of all my daughter was disappointed. Frankly, I don't think they know how to detail. I'm giving them the benefit of doubt that they didn't do it out of malice. In retrospect, all the other cars were high end and well taken car of, so the owners would be less likely to notice any problems. So what I am saying is, don't waste your hard earned dollars here. I wasted $240 and 3 hours of my time. They should probably watch a You Tube video or two to see how a real detail is done. If you want to throw away your money, be frustrated, angry and feel ripped off, then this is the place for you. read more

Bottom Line: A quality hand wash while you shop. TLC Wash and Shine is the only place I take my cars to get washed! They thoroughly hand wash every car so you don't have to worry about fine scratches from a machine or residue remaining. While you wait for your car you can shop or just sit at Starbucks inside the mall and read or people watch. They offer three levels of service as shown in my picture. Usually I wait about 90 minutes for my car, sometimes closer to 60. TLC Wash and Shine is located at the Annapolis Mall in the Blue Garage which is between Nordstrom and Lord and Taylor. There are many garages at the Annapolis Mall but if you enter the garage immediately between Nordstrom and Pottery Barn you can easily find TLC up the ramp on the second floor. read more

Accommodating, friendly and very good. Not perfect though. I paid for the large vehicle Diamond package and it took about 4 hours before the car was ready. They did clean the exterior and glass so well that I noticed small paint scratches i hadn't seen before. There was a ton of pet hair and they did get it up. the cup holder bottom could have used more cleaning. but all in all very good. read more

Just used this place earlier and wanted to write a review b/c I was really happy with how things turned out. I purchased a Groupon and made an appointment to come in. I had to change my appointment this morning, but they were pretty flexible saying that they closed at 6 but could see me at 5. The location is pretty convenient because you just drive up to the 2nd story of the Blue Garage near Nordstrom, so you are able to shop or do whatever while you wait. First thing, I had accidently purchased the wrong Groupon deal (I bought a medium when my car is considered large). I felt bad but they just let it go and said it wasn't a problem. I was a little surprised when they said it would be 1-2 hours, but I just strolled the mall while waiting. They ended up finishing in about 1 hour and 15 minutes and it was worth the wait. My car looked great inside and out (I had the Gold Detail package). They clearly took their time and it has that "new car smell". Not only that, but by the time I got my car it was 6:15 so they had obviously worked on it past their closing time. It is worth the money to go here. This place was a little hard to find, as they lack marketing signs anywhere. No signs/advertisement of where they are so I had to call to ask exactly where they are (they are located on the second floor of the Blue garage). They did a superb job on my detailing (I had a super dirty extra cab pick up truck both inside and outside). The reason for one star less is that they told me the job would be done in 3-4 hours (I've gotten my pick up detailed before and it's usually just 2-3 hours), and when I came back 4.5 hours later, it wasn't ready. I drove home with a semi-incomplete detail job, but it was nicely done overall regardless. Another reason is that for the price they charged- it was on the high side, as if I was driving a premium car. I get that I have a an extra cab truck, but compared to other extra cab trucks, not that big. So I was just turned off by the price they charged- at least give me my exterior some sort of waxing on the outside?? Regardless, happy with the interior, and the family that runs this joint is very friendly. Just maybe advertise better (I.e. more signs, and maybe adjust your pricing a little). read more

Because of favorable Yelp reviews I took my very much in need of a detail 2005 MB 240 wagon to TLC yesterday. They worked on the car for 3+ hours and did a great job. Seriously, the car, inside and out, looks almost factory new. I was charged as a "large car" price. With a $10 tip and tax the final cost was $190.00. Perhaps I should have been charged for a smaller vehicle detail, but it was only $10 less. Either way, I was totally satisfied and will take my wife's car in soon. One note: they are located in the Annapolis mall's Blue Garage, that provides parking next to Nordstroms. You drive into the Blue Garage and you will find them at the top of the ramp at the 2nd level. read more

I am so so happy! My 2006 4 runner had never been professionally cleaned before, I have taken descent care of it but it definitely needed some love. I did the diamond package and added the better wax to my car and I was shocked when I went to pick it up. There are no stains on the seats, the entire car shined and smelled like I just picked it up from the dealership. They even got some nail polish off that had been there for YEARS... I still don't know how they did that but I am completely impressed. I highly recommend this company and the diamond package. Over rated. Got the $73.99 "Gold Detail" for my large SUV. TLC did a satisfactory job, but no better than the $20 car washes I got in southern California, and definitely not equal in quality to full detailing I've had elsewhere. Positive is it is a hand wash. But for Gold service, I was expecting much better given the high Yelp ratings. They wanted to charge extra to wash the rubber floor mats and extra to remove a few drops of tree sap. Would not recommend unless maybe your vehicle is trashed, which mine was not. read more

Um, holy crap. I brought Jose and his crew the filthiest Jeep Wrangler that had been sitting naked outside for months... rain, leaves, rust, you name it. This is the first time I've ever used a car wash or detailing place as I normally do everything myself, but this was a great experience. They got my Pontiac Bonneville looking so pretty as if I just bought it all over again! If I could give Jose ten stars, I would. Short story- while transporting leftovers from a work function, roast beef juices spilled. All IN the seats. In the heat of summer. After removing the back seat, cleaning everything twice, and trying everything... The stench wouldn't go away. For two weeks. I'd read reviews on yelp. A friend had a groupon here and was really impressed. And I had passed them a million times at the mall (it's where I always park.) I was optimistic. Took it in and got the shampoo and steam clean. Jose was able to find the problem... The juices had leaked UNDER the carpet on the floor. He took the sill plates off. Cleaned the floor pan and carpet. And voila! I have never been so appreciative in my life. (Literally, my coworker told me I may need to get a new car the smell was so bad.) I don't know if any other car service would have been so thorough. My car has never been as clean as it is now. If you want someone who takes pride in his work and does a very thorough job, go to Jose. Not only is he amazing at what he does, but he is also incredibly nice. All in all, a great experience. Great service in a convenient location. I brought my car to TLC because of the great reviews. Initially I was skeptical. Instead of the commercial operation I was expecting within the garage at the Annapolis Mall, it was a small operation in the parking lot with not a lot of people and very little equipment. Nonetheless, we left the car and picked it up several hours later. It looked like new! Great job inside and out. Overall I was pleased with the service. My car was thoroughly cleaned in the inside and smelled great. The windows, tires and door seals looked phenomenal. My only complaint is that there were a few scuff marks on the driver side door that they said couldn't be removed, but when I got home I was able to wipe them off with a little elbow grease and a baby wipe.
