Zach was very approachable and responded to all concerns that I had, and he discovered what had caused the leak in the window and repaired it. It turned out to be a bigger project as it turns out the wood had water damage, but he replaced and repaired what needed. Zach's pricing was very fair and reasonable and he made sure to explain everything he was doing which took away my anxiety about the whole thing. What I appreciated most was Zach's work ethic. He had a positive attitude during the project, showed up and put his work in each day, and I could really tell he genuinely cares about the project he was working on. If I need future repairs, Zach from Mountain Home Construction will be the first person I call.

It was weeks of trying to avoid doing contractual work, add fees, calling me names, hanging up the phone on me before the first crew finally walked off of the job in front of the company owner. No apology provided to me, but after significant negotiation they did agree to hire a subcontractor to fix their work. Unfortunately this meant that they sanded their texture work and did not seal the ductwork first and refused to put up plastic in the doorway. I had to put up plastic and then spent 30 hours cleaning my home once I figured out what the air quality issue was. I have a disability and am prone to respiratory infections which is what I was diagnosed with following this event. The new crew told me that the soffit the previous crew built was too crooked to fix but I wouldn't notice it. They decided that they completed the project and the problem was the ductwork underneath the soffit. They want thousands more to replace my ductwork and build a new soffit. I cannot find their electrical license online although they did electrical work. The light fixture they installed will not turn off and they will not hire an electrician to fix their work. This was supposed to be a home modification project to help my disabled son--a fact that they have had no regard for throughout the project.

American MasterCraft's name was presented to us directly during the referral and communications related to this project, and the individual who performed the work identified himself as operating under that association. At no point were we informed that this was unauthorized or unrelated to your company until after the work was left incomplete and concerns were raised. Barry, himself, along with my 3 witnesses that personally saw Barry, Jason and the gentlemen with a ford truck There is documentation, including messages and representations, connecting the work performed to American MasterCraft and affiliated business names. . From the homeowner's perspective, workers arrived at our residence, performed partial work (Which still remains unfinished), accepted payment, attempted to change pricing mid-project, failed to complete the agreed scope, and then ceased communication. Lets not forget after contacting me (barry), Barry sent out Jason the very next day at 10am, i made Jason called Barry in front of me, my wife, my father and a worker at our home that we had to paused service for while Jason came by, Barry answered the phone and said he said he sent Jason to do a estimate. Regardless of internal authorization disputes, the result for our family was and is the same: incomplete and damaged work with no resolution. Jason did receive payment with a receipt from us as he didn't have one on him and we have the bank statement after he kept pressuring us to pay him. If your company name was misused, that is a serious issue that you need to address with Jason & Barry, your worker you are denying, and one you should investigate internally. However, as the homeowner, I can only review and document what was presented to us and what occurred at our home along with what i, personally, experienced from this company. My review reflects my direct, first-hand experience and remains accurate. see updated screenshots. We are willing to communicate privately, We are willing to update or amend this review if the situation is resolved and the outstanding work and payments are addressed and handled. At this time, however, we have chosen to move forward by hiring another licensed contractor to repair and complete the work that was left unfinished. Given the costs incurred to correct the damage, we are evaluating our options moving forward. Our goal is resolution and accountability, not conflict. We tore out a really outdated stair railing with the thought of replacing it at some point with…read moresomething more modern. Fast forward almost 5 years and still no railing was installed. Now we want to sell our house and found that we needed to install something so that we could pass inspection. We looked at several options and could not wrap our heads around building something ourselves - we are definitely not contractors and not very successful do-it-yourselfers. I called and put feelers out for several contractors with no real bites. Thankfully, Randy reached out to us and offered to send Stephen out to give us a quote. Stephen came out and took a look at what we did and was so great - he didn't laugh at our handiwork. He promised us a quote by the following day and told us that he could build and install something within the same week. We received our quote and signed the paperwork... it was that easy. The wood is cedar and we decided to use cables to keep the view open. There is no table up yet, as we are still social distancing, but it's so nice to be on a beautiful new deck. It was a small job, but they didn't treat it (or us) like it was any less worthwhile than a bigger one. All three of the main guys are super nice, conscientious, communicative, and excellent at their work. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Plus, they did what they said they would do when they promised. None of the typical problems with not showing up, not responding to questions, etc. I would hire them again in a minute. Simply the best contractors I have ever worked with.
