I first met Jacob when he came to my property out of genuine curiosity after hearing about a water…read moreintrusion issue I was struggling with. He did not have the capacity to work on my project but he came to support the completion of a difficult time. I moved into my home in February 2021--during a snowstorm--and by March, we noticed rainwater entering the house. Over the next several months, I spoke with more than two dozen contractors, most of whom had no clear idea how to fix the issue. Eventually, we hired a contractor who replaced the siding, but unfortunately, that didn't solve the problem either. That's when a friend recommended I call Jacob. From the moment he arrived, Jacob listened with patience. He took the time to hear all the details--my concerns, what other contractors had said, and he carefully reviewed all the photos I had taken. He didn't do any physical work on the project himself, but what he did do was shift the entire direction of the process. He coached me on how to speak with contractors, shared terminology I should use, and--most importantly--he told me I was likely looking for the wrong kind of specialist. Though water was coming through the siding, Jacob suggested the issue was probably with the roof, specifically the "cricket." Following Jacob's advice completely changed how contractors treated the situation. I started getting better responses and more respect. And he was right--it was the cricket. Once that was addressed, the problem was finally resolved. Since then, I've called Jacob again for advice on another project, and once again, he offered clarity and insight that helped tremendously. Jacob has become a trusted advisor. His knowledge, experience, and thoughtful communication make him someone I would absolutely trust to manage a project from start to finish. I can't recommend him highly enough. Thank you Jacob!

Brandon the owner was attentive and receptive to our thoughts and ideas from the beginning of the project until its completion. Brandon was very helpful in his suggestions of multiple suppliers of materials we hoped to use and others we hadn't thought of. Brandon's subs were on time, courteous, communicated with us on what they were doing and projected completion times. We have a large space for the extra materials bought, so that wasn't an issue for us. Using an outside sink area and an office for our temporary kitchen worked out well, as Brandon said the living room didn't have the wattage necessary for the use of a microwave and other appliances we wanted to use. We hope to use Nikao Construction in the future, for their craftsmanship, their integrity, availability via phone or text, and for their sense of humor.

The last…read morejob they did for me on my home was a major renovation in our master bath, the bulk of a $90K project, removing a tub and enlarging the shower. They did something wrong, and the shower leaked very very slowly until it finally became clear that it needed repair. They came and looked at it and incorrectly guessed that our problems were caused by settling. They then ghosted me. We hired a different contractor to do the $40K repairs. I repeatedly asked Leitner to help defray some of this cost. They hid behind their warranty, essentially saying that because it was a slow leak, too much time had passed and they refused to help. It should have lasted longer than 5 years!!! Who else's fault could this be? I guess it's my fault for trusting Leitner. I urge Yelpers to not make the same mistake I made.

Zach's pricing was very fair and reasonable and he made sure to explain everything he was doing which took away my anxiety about the whole thing. What I appreciated most was Zach's work ethic. He had a positive attitude during the project, showed up and put his work in each day, and I could really tell he genuinely cares about the project he was working on.
