As regular readers of my reviews will know, I'm not a regular visitor to Primark and I actually think I have only visited the chain about 3-4 times in my life and that was only across this branch and the one in Manchester. This store is quite a big one (although not as big as Manchester) and is located over 2 floors, they is a lift connecting them as well as escalators. Most of the things here seem to be on the cheaper side, but it does seem in a way they have piled clothes into a smaller area, hence making it seem a little like a jumble sale, especially to go alongside the low pricing - but still it isn't as bad as Sports Direct! I didn't notice many staff around the store. Most of the clothes here, I didn't find to be "Amazing Fashion" at all - which the company labels it as. Some of the clothes here I didn't even find to be fashion at all - but take my comments as a piece of salt if you are a fashion geek, as in all honesty, I know people who question my ability in style all the time, as I do honestly feel "ripped jeans" (is that what they call them?) just looks tatty and something that needs replacing, and it makes me wonder if they can not afford to buy a full pair of jeans or pants. 2 stars - I will probably visit in the future and do a more detailed review but for now the fashion here, in my eyes seems unfashionable and it isn't the nicest of stores, and the layout of it isn't too good either and it can be hard to find a staff member.

There's a lot to be said for small vintage shops as you can do all your rummaging quick sharp, and this place is perfect for that very purpose. As previous Yelpers have confirmed the stock rotation is indeed frequent, so be sure to pop in any time you're in the Northern Quarter. One of the things I love about this titchy boutique is the shoes... the brunette and I were drooling over little red pixie boots for quite some time. There are plenty of customised one-offs and second hand garments to choose from, and no doubt anything you buy from there will attract envious attention from friends. Unfortunately it doesn't cater for men, however a great many high street fashion shops don't either, so I don't have a gargantuan issue with that. The staff are very friendly and appropriately quirky themselves, so if you're stuck for inspiration you can always have a gander at what they're wearing. Prices vary depending on the item but no label has made me gasp in agony thus far. And I had no idea about the buy one get one free sales, so thanks to Alexandra I'll certainly be looking out for those in the future! And who can resist aqua-marine, well, I can't. This store has done extremely well in making itself conspicuous amongst the many shabby chic boutiques along Oldham Street, and it has definitely earned its place as one of the shops that very much makes the Northern Quarter feel like the Camden of Manchester. The clothes are all really pretty and nice and shiny and colourful and the girls look nice with them on. Also, its much cheaper than most of the places for clothes in Rusholme. This and the nearby Shagun seem to me to be the TK-Max of Rusholme fashion, by which I mean that they sell the same clothes, but arrange them in a disorderly fashion and cut the prices drastically. Can't work out why they do this, or why people still buy the same clothes from the more expensive shops. Any ideas?

As a single dad I wasn't sure about exactly what I should get them, if they looked good in it and the different options. I am surprised by the recent reviews saying the staff 'follow you around' they don't, they just want to help! I found the service I received absolutely fantastic and the prices very reasonable. I hadn't realised how big the shop actually is and the range of children's clothing they sell! It is vast! Thank you for a very pleasant shopping experience!

Back before Pixie Geldoff made its leather jackets the cover up de rigeur I got a punky Religion top from here. The mix of styles in Mon Amie is exactly that; it isn't just one aesthetic. There is plenty of hippie style fashion here too as well as sensible clothes that your mother would love. The prices vary wildly but you can easily pick up a bargain.
