Not only is it larger and lighter, so much easier to look around, but the stock seems to have improved too. There are certainly more trendy items here than what we used to have and a really good shoe selection enough to tempt any woman. For the guys we have Burtons upstairs but I've not visited so cannot review that. I can testify that customer service is excellent as today I had to return a coat that had a ripped pocket and button falling off, after only 1.5 day wear! I've only been to work in it so was surprised as the quality did seem ok. I could have repaired it myself but I still had the receipt in my purse so popped in to see what they would do. The assistant was great, I explained the problem and said I wanted a replacement coat but needed to wear it there and then, she swapped it without hesitation or question and behaved as if it was no bother to them at all. So while I'm not too happy about the fact it happened to start with, I guess nothing can be perfect, but they handled the situation really well and I've already spotted some nice things in there to go back for!

Whoever designed the window display is an artist as a scarecrow dressed in the most yummy butterfly halter-neck stands in a landscape of flowers. I entered in a trance like state and the lovely assistant Rebecca helpfully talked me through the stock. I loved the fact that they do not buy in bulk and you view each garment as a "piece" rather than simply clothes. Prices are moderate, slightly more than high street chains but you don't mind paying £60 for a unique Nood creation as opposed to £45 for a high street clone. Colours are bright and fabrics are great quality. Recognisable names such as Religion get into bed with new designer wares. This is no run of the mill ladieswear. A new range of gorgeous dove grey vintage inspired oilcloth bags and cute jewellery are also available to compliment your outfit. Open Monday to Saturday from 10.30am -6pm, Nood also opens its doors on a Sunday (12-5pm)- very handy for weekday nine to fivers. So did I buy the butterfly dress? This longevity is testament to the enduring talent of owner Alison, who has continually offered an eclectic mix of clothes, accessories and shoes from her own portfolio as well as interesting ranges from other designers like Religion, Gash and Get Cutie. It never feels stagnant in here, she keeps it fresh and all the accessories, bags and belts are so different to what you'd find on the high street. How wrong I was! It's a gorgeous set-up with chandeliers and fabric draped across the ceiling with luxurious silky curtains. It reminded me of a princess's dressing room (and boy does she have good taste!) No two items are the same and they choose only the finest quality vintage outfits, none of that run of the mill 'I'll have to sew that here, and take that up there' nonsense. They not only sell vintage but also designer and upcoming labels which are all mixed together on the rails, hanging lovingly side by side could be a stunning designer dress and a 1920s vintage piece. The price ranges are as varied as the styles with dresses ranging from £20 to around £500 so everyone has the opportunity to buy their little piece of unique clothing! The accessories were amazing, they had headbands, brooches, rings, earrings... all sorts of little gems that would be great as gifts or as a personal treat, now these were the real bargains, all carefully handpicked and oh so cheap. This is a fairly small store by Debenhams standard, however, this must be expected to a degree with it being in a smaller town - there are much larger branches at Manchester Trafford, Manchester Market Street and Liverpool which are all 10-20 miles away, but this location still serves as a great location for click and collect for customers who might want Debenhams fashion without the travel (The click and collect desk could be in a better location compared to the Lower Ground floor but this seems to be common practice to force people to spend more time going through the store hoping they see more items along the way, you normally wouldn't see when online shopping) Again - due to the size of the store compared to others they did lack many facilities one would normally expect from Debenhams including many beauty brands which is a shame - they do however have a small cafe area, but unlike other stores, they don't have a juice bar or something similar. OK store for a small town - again I found this to be quite common for many stores within Warrington. "Meh I've experienced better", sums it up for me. 2*

It may be a little smaller than the city centre debenhams, but it still stocks everything you could need. I love the designers at Debenhams range, particularly for children, and the fact that you can now buy Radley bags in the town centre is a bonus. The cafe on the top floor is brilliant as you can look out onto the whole shopping centre and have a nosey as to what everyone is getting up to.
