I'm rather surprised TK Maxx's main Warrington town centre location in Golden Square has received…read moremany good reviews - although most of them go back to the Qype days and are around 10 years old - it proves this store was at one time pretty good, although it really does seem the store has declined hugely of late. I did have a problem with many of the big brand stores in TK Maxx's Warrington location as they just screamed out small-town mentality and this store like Primark and a few others - shown this more than most. The store was a little dark and felt like it hadn't been refurbished in years - the cleanliness of the store was also poor with so many goods all over the floor from clothing to even their ultra-small technology section which was mainly cheap sets of headphones (come on who wants them after they've got dirty through being trodded on?) The store again seemed slightly understaffed with the staff mainly congregating around the tills - they even ignored items all over the floor right in front of them which for me is just careless. Perhaps once a great store, and a nice brand to have in Warrington but they seem to take the concept of being a little like a jumble store where you can find bargains here into a mess with this being one of the poorer TK Maxx branches I've visited - nearby branches in Liverpool and Manchester are much larger, cleaner and simply better.

This store has improved greatly since my last review, the staff seem much more friendly and…read morehelpful, while the overall selection seems to have improved to a satisfactory level, the store is a little cleaner but there still remains products just thrown on the floor, and others hung up but still looked like they'd been open to try on and left in a mess, still an improvement. Sandwiched in between two larger branches 20 minutes away in each direction (Liverpool and Manchester), but still A-OK and not a bad alternative if you do find yourself in Warrington. 3*

However much like Wigan we found this store quite small in comparison to some of the others we've visited in places like Liverpool, Manchester and Blackpool. Happily for me neither found anything they hadn't already seen in other branches so my wallet remained unopened and intact. If you're in Warrington then have a look but if you really want the full Primani experience then head for Liverpool or Manchester instead.

I was disappointed with the selection, while I knew it wasn't full of bridal wear, the choice was limited and it seemed the best dresses were in the window. The sales assistant was friendly in there and left us pretty much to it but I was also disappointed to see a lack of accessories to go with the dresses. I feel that the bridal section is very much and after thought compared to the gents suit hire and recommend future brides to go to a more dedicated store for themselves.

This limits it quite significantly. JJB sports didn't have any, just like all the major shoe shops. When we eventually tried Matalan, they not only had a choice, they were £7 a pair for reasonable quality. When I was asked about a card, I thought it may come in useful at some time, filled in the information, was given a temporary card and got £1 off the trainers immediately! Definite points for the store there! What I was impressed by was that, although the prices are ridiculously low, most of the products are good quality - at least as good as most normal shops. I couldn't give five stars, however, due to the long wait to get served. There was a snake of people all waiting patiently and two tills in operation, every time I have been in, no matter what time of day. I still recommend Matalan to everyone for whatever clothing they need.

This Warrington store has had a recent refurbishment, and now looks bigger than it did previously. The shop is really spacious, and there are no problems shopping with a pram. The shop has a great selection of everyday clothes. You can pick up tops for £2.50, and leather shoes for a tenner. They also have regular offers, and 3 for 2's on gifts, especially around Christmas time. Most of the staff are really friendly, and car parking is usually fine. Be aware, however that the store does get busy. Weekends can be a nightmare, and even with all the checkouts open, be prepared to queue!
