Like other discount stores, you can walk in not knowing what brands to expect. Because of the variety and size differences between brands, the racks are always a mess. My wife birthday passed . I was checking the parcel every day day 12-13 goes on same story. At the end day refunded me which is i lost 14 days plus up to 14 days to get my money back. so you're in London (like I was, this summer, for the first time). You're a typical American and would like to do a bit of shopping--until you suddenly realize everything is kind of expensive and sized really small. Ended up here after searching yelp shopping London and it was worth it. As other people have said, its 2 floors (there is an elevator) and in the lower section are where the bargains live. Two sweaters, a pair of skinny jeans didn't set me back too much. they have dressing rooms downstairs. A little bit messy but so are most TJ Maxx'es so no biggy. I love Tk Maxx, even though if you really want to find something you need patience and plenty of time, I always do, and it is always nice and bargainous. For example, I bought some lovely brown leather boots with buckles, sturdy and warm, for £40, only to see them in another shop window for £150! Hoorah! They have all sorts of things in here, with emphasis on female fashion, though they do have lots of men's and kids clothes too. This is quite a large store so they have homeware too. Really useful for buying uni supplies like mugs, bowls and kitchen utensils- quality brands at very affordable prices! I have so many things from TK, it really has been god's gift. What I also like about it is that you go in having no idea what to expect, there is always a nice surprise at the end of the shop. This is because there is a huge mix of labels, from really high end designer to normal high street brands. And if you really have A LOT of time and patience then check out the clearance bit, they have bargains galore there, mixed in with a lot of rubbish. read more

A huge branch of the T K Maxx store, with womenswear on the ground floor, and menswear on the first floor. Like all branches, it's something of a pot luck as to whether you can find something you want: some of the labels don't really come into the 'designer' category, and some of the stuff is so ghastly, it clearly hasn't sold at full price for good reason. (I did once see a trendy young thing trying on a bright purple velvet jacket, clearly fighting between the apparition staring back at him from the mirror, and his desire for the Versace label) That said, if you are discerning and prepared to walk out without buying something on some trips, you may be rewarded with some really good buys on others: I've purchased some fabulous Aquascutum ties here, and I was seriously tempted by some wonderful Timberland leather jackets, down from £400 to under £150. (I resisted - this time). I've generally found footwear seriously disappointing in what's on offer, but then I do have a popular size. If you've got feet under size 7, or over size 11, there's more choice. More generally, there's a lot more choice in large and extra large than in medium or small sizes. read more

I came round this area only to go to the Hammersmith Primark as I wanted to avoid the constant crowds of the one on Oxford Street. After a long stint in Primark, I was pretty content with all my cheap buys, until I came across TK Maxx. I got quite excited seeing designer brands but with their prices slashed down to extremely decent prices. They sell women's, men's and kids clothes, as well as shoes, accessories. The products in their homeware selection are a good buy, and new in to stores are hotel brand Egyptian cotton towels. The range of what is sold is endless, I still can't get over the prices. Though don't be surprised if you find yourself digging ferociously through pile after pile, stack after stack of clothing to find your size. read more

Just not worth ordering from, Ordered a pair of boots size 6 and size 7 arrives (this is second time) ring up and very nice on phone, but told 6 and 7 sit on same shelf and they never check (stop doing that then!! it's not rocket science!!) Do mangers read these reviews for goodness sake! Told even if I order again likely the same thing will happen (what??) So one pair of size 6 left and I have two wait up to two days for them to call back while customer service wait on an email back. If you have some time to kill, and a whole load of patience, then I would recommend taking a trip to TK Maxx in Hammersmith. This massive, bustling mega-store boasts a variety of products from thousands of designers all at reasonable prices, but, there is a catch. Everything that is anywhere near decent is piled (if somewhat hidden) away and all that can be seen is general mounds of crap. It seems like 95% of the store is complete rubbish, but there really are some jewels to be found. I always feel very disappointed and angry in the shop but after rummaging for a few hours, i sometimes find reduced clothes that I would pay decent money for. read more

I really haven't got the patience to be trawling the rails of TK Maxx for a bargain. I have heard of people rifling industriously through clothes and finding a designer item which has been slashed by around 60%. I have seen lovely dresses in magazines and been amazed that were from TK Maxx. I know , I know if you want something bad enough you have to work at it but whenver I have made the effort the only 'designer' I've found is a label I've never heard of. I wish I had the patience to hunt down the obviously 'hidden' gems because my mum and firnds have found lovely bits from labels including French Connection Miss Sixty and Dior. I do love going upstairs to the homeware and childrens section because I never leave disappointed. My bargains have included a large Venetian bathroom mirror for £30, wooden picture frames £5 each and a beautiful baby Dior jumper for my son ( not a logo in sight!) for an unbelievable £12! If I want reduced designer clothes I'll wait for Selfridges sales but if I'm in want bargain basement home bits and childreenswear I'll head to TK Maxx. read more

Im a Tk maxx super fan... Huge stores, huge variety of products and huge discounts in brand items of all kinds (Bliss, TIGI, Chloe, Armani, Moschino, Calvin Klein...) up to 60% off the normal price. I'm in this TK Maxx multiple times a week. It is big and filled with all sorts of hidden goodies. It does take some time to dig through everything to hopefully find something you like, but it's definitely worth it! I discovered the Hammersmith branch of TK Maxx after a particularly fruitless afternoon spent at the Vintage Fashion Fair nearby. Dejected having unearthed no vintage gems and single-minded in my desire not to resort to Primark, I ambled into TK Maxx and boy am I glad I did. With rail upon rail bursting with cut-price clothes, TK Maxx is manna from heaven for discount junkies. There are a few rails dedicated to designer pieces bringing to mind discount department store Century 21 - yes, of Sex and the City fame - in downtown Manhattan. I unearthed a beautifully classic Calvin Klein mac discounted from £450 to £80 and a tuxedo jacket by Chloe and will definitely be returning to TK Maxx on the hunt for more bargains. Don't wait for the sales, hit TK Maxx, your wallet and your wardrobe will thank you. read more

Really big branch, which although it is quite untidy and disorganised (like most TK Maxx) you still will likely find a bargain if you look for it hard enough. It has a great home section, with very unique and different decoration items for very low prices. read more

I like this store very much. The staff are always friendly and each floor is quite big so you have a lot of stuff to look at! I get all my jogging clothes and hiking stuff from here. The Hammersmith location of TK Maxx is alright. It used to be better. The size of the store is quite large, with 2 1/2 floors of offerings. It has the usual mish-mash of TK Maxx departments and offerings. Lots of handbags and shoes plus a nice sized homewares department. read more

TK Maxx is alright for the occasional, maybe twice yearly visit. It's really good, personally, for buying extravagant ball gowns. You can get something high end and unusual for around £40-£60. This means you will not be wearing the same Monsoon dress at the ball as everybody else. Of course, most people probably don't go to as many balls as me. I'm pretty glamorous. Otherwise, the place is too much of a shambolic mess for me and involved too much rummaging and trying on of things to find a real quality item at a good price. read more

Biggest one in London filled to the rafters of cheap(well cheaper) designer brands and not so designer often up to 60%. Selling everything from D&G suits for 200quid to French connection jeans for 20to jelly belly forwell I don't know how much but they do sell a lot household goods too. Suits coats casual cloths shoes and trainers is the main stay. If your really after a bargain then you probably wont find ityou need to go there with an open mind and snap up the bargains as they come as they're always changing stock. Cheap designer stuff @TK MAXX not a bad one in hammersmith has 3 floors and it quite large in size and has most things that are in other stores. Good shoe section and home wares and on the top floor lots of toys. This store does get busy and I would say this and primiark are to 2 main places that people shop in. So as a result at the weekend it gets very busy and the queue to pay are always quite long. Best to go in the week and look at for clearance items with a red sticker if you like to look for bargains read more

TK Maxx is the UK version of our very own TJ Maxx. I bought a couple of shoes, polo shirts, t-shirts and a couple of jackets from this place. I was so happy to find a pair of Prada shoes for men at a discount/close out price. I wish our TJ Maxx here in the US is as cool as TK Maxx. p.s. UK sizes are 1 to 2 size smaller than the US so try everything on first (except for underwear...please don't) before paying at the counter. another p.s. they charge for plastic bags. read more

I'm a tkmaxx fan too. You really need to be patient to find what you wanna, but it's whorthwhile. The prices are very low and the labels are very nice. In the third floor, you can find houseware items, from egipitian cotton sheets to le creuset pots. read more

You can get some good stuff here but Beware of their dodgy returns policy. I bought a jumper that on purchase had torn where the security tag had been removed. I did not wear it for the first month but when I went to return it they said they could not refund it even though it was a product fault at purchase, as the 28 day return limit had passed. read more

I love TK Maxx located opposite McDonalds in King Street Hammersmith. It is a huge store over 3 floors. They sell designer goods which are end of line or discontinued stock. There is a huge homeware section on the top floor where you can also get childrens toys & gifts for men. On the middle floor is the childrens clothes section which is relatively small unfortunately but you can pick up a bargain there sometimes, there is a huge selection of mens & womens shoes & trainers. Also on this floor are the mens clothes, suitcases, jewellery & gifts, handbags & much more. On the ground floor is the womens clothes, sportswear & down the far end underwear, swimwear & ballgowns. There are many bargains to be had in this great store which is organised by sizes so easy to find what you want. There are many items there on my wish list :) read more

This store has a lot of great labels and sells them at bargain prices! Their best items are probably the bags, sportswear and electronics. I absolutely hate going through their selection of clothes! i always do my shopping with tk maxx, today I found one (bodum) mug, for some reason the lid is gone, I have one spare lid at home that is why I thought is a perfect match, so I bring to till to check it up how much the mug going to cost me, the price selling at tk maxx with lid is 12.99. To be honest I brought 4 already for the past. because is a good travel mug. so now let me tell you the girl from the till was asking the manager how much will that mug cost me without the lid. you cant imagine that manager want 10 pounds for it. is ridiculous. why still can sell in 10 pound for a faulty goods? I cant accept this price, lucky I didn't buy from them because I found the currys pc world do have the same one which sell only 10.99 with lid! Nice big store, with plenty of bargains to be had. To find the goodies, you do have to wade through some rubbish, but there are steals there. Last month I got a See by Chloe cardigan for £30. As much of the stock is last season, I would say TK Maxx is good for things that don't date, such as bed linen, luggage and kitchenware. I mean, if you're worried about your luggage being last season, that's a bit worrying! Last month they had a load of Cath Kidston duvet covers reduced from £70 to £16 and half price Radley bags. All this kind of stuff makes good pressies for mums and aunties. The shoe selection is rather dodgy though. read more

I am a fan of TK Maxx, and this is one of their better stores; recently opened a kids' department (still a bit small). Very good ladies' section with nice mix of high end (D&G, Gucci, C Klein) and high street brands. It's a love/hate kind of store, but if you like bargains you will probably get addicted. read more

Actually i do love tkmaxx for various different things, but especially the home section. You can pick up whacky ornaments and all sorts of little decorations for the home. Also each year we do scrapbooks and they have the most amazing different ones for such reasonable prices! I would really recommend this shop to anyone, its like a cheaper version of a department store, from clothes to shoes to kitchen, homeware, occasional goodies(esp big on xmas) to things for children. I heard from friends that this is the biggest TK Maxx and that there are lots of dicounted quality clothes. I went the a few times and I realised that they are starting to bring in lots of cheaper brands with cheaper quality clothes. As it is, the shop is usually really messy and now which more cheaper brands, it is even more difficult to get something that is nice. One point to note is that they sometimes have snowboarding clothes and it is usually about half price. Worth considering as it will be quite a bargain. read more

This is a great place to find some great bargains! I love going through all the stuff and if I'm honest there is a lot of rubbish there too. But by looking at everything I have managed to find some real gems here. The clothes found are not from the current season but I don't think that anyone can really tell anyways...The workers also help me to find whether my size is still available by checking the computers and are friendly in general. They used to charge for bags, you're hardly going to carry your clothes out of the store are you? They presumably found it wasn't good for business and dropped this. However, they now only allow 14 days to return items for a refund, very poor by general retail standards these days. Most stores offer 28 or 30 days. Even over Christmas they would not extend the 14 day refund period, bah humbug, I got caught out this time, as it used to be 28 days. My son and I had Norovirus over Christmas and New Year, so could not have returned within 14 days. They have no regard for customers, so shop elsewhere, presumably the goods are items they couldn't sell elsewhere anyway! read more
