When we have had to switch products her response has been, no problem. When I wanted to show the selections to the designer, she offered to pull all the samples and have them ready. I have visited almost all of the tile and stone stores in Reno and Minden and the service at Nova Tile and Stone, specifically in the Minden store, was the best. They have a great team who all work well together and create a great environment to spend time choosing purchases. Joe assisted me last year when I purchased quartzite slabs and he was extremely knowledgable and made the whole experience enjoyable and fun. This time around I booked an design appointment with Susan and she could not have made the process more enjoyable or successful. Having visited Bedrosian and used the designer service there I can say that Susan (Nova, Minden) by comparison had more experience, better customer service, listened to what I actually wanted and made the best use of my time. I had previously visited the Reno store and Diane was great but the Minden location far surpasses my expectations in every way. If you don't want to spend hours and months of weekends looking for stone and tile I would suggest booking a design appointment at Nova Tile and Stone in Minden (even if you are closer to Reno).

He did just that and let us know that there was nothing to worry about as the installed beams were just reinforcement for something heavy that might have once been stored there like a gun safe, but were not integral to the structure of the sub floor. I discovered some Termite damage in three Floor Joists and Rim Joists in my home. The Pest…read moreInspector said there was no active infestation, but I should call a General Contractor. Danny's first Crawl Space inspection led him to guestimate was there was $5,000-$6,000 of damage, but there was no way to know for sure without removing the exterior wall. After Danny thought about it for a couple weeks before he came to work on the house, he came up with a stroke of genius. Instead of removing the exterior siding, he cut a hole in the floor by the damaged Floor Joists so he could easily reach the damage without multiple trips through the crawl space. Then instead of replacing a 6+ foot length of Floor Joist, he nailed 8"x2" pressure treated wood bracing on either side of the Floor Joists and backed-up 4 Rim Joists with 8"x2" pressure treated wood. He also screwed into the foundation sidewall pressure treated 2"x4" wood side bracing support from the foundation footing to the bottom of four Floor Joists. He did this all in one day (with a helper) at a cost of $1,000 instead of his original guestimate of $5K-$6K. Danny is a Genius, hard worker, and very honest!

When we able to move forward with the kitchen portion of our remodel, we sat down with Don, the owner, to design and choose our options. He is just wonderful. Down to earth and very easy to work with. He wants you to be happy and is meticulous every step of the way. For instance, one drawer had a little abrasion... Mark Bartolomucci, the owner, came to my house and brought with him several samples of wood types. After perusing Houzz I thought I wanted a rustic looking railroad type mantel but Mark looked around the room and suggested that we use Alder because it matched my cabinets and even had a stained sample that matched. He also suggested that he mill the box mantel to match the edge of the granite. Two great suggestions that I had not thought of but the third was the best. He suggested that we use the mantel to make the area above the fireplace the same size as the hearth below the fireplace for symmetry. Mark then told me a date he would come back to install the mantel and was right on time. Installation was included in the price. He secured the mantel and cleaned up after. I could not be happier. He is a true craftsman!
