Wings @ "market price" were only okay
Zach R.

Service and ambiance was fine I didn't have any issues. I came to eat and watch the blues game. The wings were 3/10 in my own opinion, overly crispy, overly priced, under-sauced. I wouldn't swear it off as it wasn't a bad experience. I just didn't like the food.

The decor was nice. I like the pictures on the wall. They have a few games. The wings were pretty good. The fries were tasty. I try not to eat fries anymore, but I got them this day and enjoyed them. Service was exceptional. I hated that I had to get back to work. I can go ahain.

Haven't been to TJ Wings in awhile and really enjoyed the outdoors seating during this C-19 period. Workers were masked up but the majority of clients were not....whatever...NBD. The died wings were good. I ordered hot but they really were more like mild+, the poppers were outstanding, and temperature hot. Salad and boneless wings were also good and easy for the utensils. Beer was nice and cold and served a few non-AB products. Some more crafty drafts would be really good and pop that score up to four. Server was pleasant and bubbly. Looking forward to a return trip to TJ Wings.

Love their wings . Our favorite is the Hot and Honey. A great balance of spicy and sweet. The margaritas are good too.

It's somewhat like taking a step back into the 60s or 70s, as the hall is set up with tables in rows, you stand in line to place your order and boy scouts bring it out to your table. For your drinks, you can go to the bar where they still allow smoking and people definitely take advantage of it. If you plan to go in there, don't wear anything you aren't ready to wash, as it will smell of smoke if you go into the bar. There is a door between the bar and the dining hall, so no issues with the smoke where you eat. For around $8 for your fish plate with three pieces of fish and two sides plus $1 drafts that include Amber Bock or canned sodas for $1, it's a great nostalgic place to go. It's also a good family atmosphere. If someone wants dessert, there are plenty of options that appear to be home-made selections, though we've never had room after the fish and a couple of beers. This is definitely a great place for some great fish during lent. They serve until 7:30p, so if you are cutting it close on time for one of the churches that stop at 7:00, the VFW buys you another half hour. Definitely worth the trip.

But fine art is not taken seriously at this venue. Its reputation among true artists is not good. The fair is organized by the Greater St. Louis Art Association. Their members always seem to be juried into the show, regardless of their level of professionalism or artistic ability. Some repeat artists really need to retire. But I guess when your friends are jurying and they know your work, you're a shoo-in. Unfortunately this makes the fair look pretty much the same every year - rather, twice every year. Members of GSLAA are also eligible for awards which their organization gives out! So we have friends choosing which of their friends get the ribbons hanging in their booth. Television spot promoting the fair? That will likely feature GSLAA members as well. The fair caters to the mainly white, middle-class-to-affluent crowd of West County. Not a lot of diversity or challenging artwork in the house. Organizers don't seem really computer-savvy. They don't take advantage of social media to promote the show, and their website has room for improvement. I recommend skipping this fair, having a nice walk in the park instead.

Three Squirrels Winery was there and we got to sample some wines, along with drinking a glass or two, The sweet Nutty Red was good and we got a bottle to go. The atmosphere was very laid back with music playing making it a very relaxing evening. It was not over crowded, but just right. There was plenty of room between each isle for easy maneuvering.

I can't begin to explain what a great spot this is!…read more It is dog friendly, it is wide open and beautiful, it has lots of live music, it is run by a family that is so very nice, and it is super affordable and tastes great! You can get a flight of wines for $5 or a glass of wine or a pint of beer for $5 each. You can even do a tour and tasting for $10. Plus, all the bottles are pretty much under $25. And they have quite a large variety of whites, reds, and roses too. Cindy, one of the owners, is so very friendly and helpful. She will go through an entire tasting with you with the highest level of patience, allowing you to taste and try anything you'd like to. Her brother-in-law also Is a gem, he himself Popsicles to all of the kids running around and let them ride on the tractor or explore into the garden. Would highly recommend if you are in the area!

Arthur was the live music for the day and he played a great variety of songs (acoustic guitar). The wine is fantastic. I love this. I enjoy planning my own winery snacks. I was bummed when many wineries quit allowing food because they opened kitchens. So if I have to pay $30+ for food. I'm buying less wine.
