I've been shopping at this location for over 20 years, and every time I come in, I find something I didn't even know I needed! Yesterday was no exception. I found a very stylish pill organizer that was exactly what I had been looking for. I also picked up a great travel toiletry set that came with six refillable bottles for lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and other essentials perfect for traveling. I even found a pair of cute sandals for only $8.50! I found a cute dress, shirt and pants that were on clearance!! They have fragrances for a good price! One thing I really love is their food selection. They always have unique snacks, treats, and international foods that are fun to try. This store truly has a little bit of everything. Whether you're shopping for luggage, pocketbooks, home décor, electronics, workout items, beauty products, travel accessories, clothing (the designer section) shoes jewelry or food, you're almost guaranteed to walk out with something you love. It's definitely worth stopping in and browsing! read more

After visiting T.J. MAXX at 550 E Lancaster Ave, in St. Davids, I was extremely disturbed by the behavior of your employee, Nicholas, during my recent visit. While there were other employees already working the register, Nicholas specifically stepped in front of an African American employee in a way that felt unnecessary, intimidating, and deeply uncomfortable. He appeared to closely monitor and double-check transactions involving African American customers, as though he assumed wrongdoing or theft without cause. At one point, Nicholas even opened the cash register drawer while his coworker was actively ringing up items, seemingly to verify his work in a manner that came across as distrustful and humiliating. His actions created a tense and uncomfortable environment for both customers and staff. From what I witnessed Nicholas behavior felt targeted and racially motivated, making it seem as though he was unfairly scrutinizing his coworker because of his race. This kind of conduct is unacceptable in any workplace and reflets poorly on your business, I strongly encourage management to address this situation seriously, as no employee or customer should be made to feel discriminated against or uncomfortable because of racial bias. read more

Located in St. David's, PA, this TJ Maxx has a wide variety of clothing for all sizes. They have a decent skincare and makeup section if that's your thing along with a good designer clothing lineup. This store lacks in aisles such as bedding, pet goods, and culinary needs but that's to be expected of a TJ Maxx. The qualm I have with this place is the lines. Check out is incredibly slow which hinders shopping experience. Additionally, finding xs clothing can be difficult depending on what you are looking for. read more

Amazing clothes one of a kind i absolutely love the runway i drive 30 minutes to get to this particular location because it never fails me I always come out of the Lancaster store with two to three hundred dollars in debt lmbo this is my favorite store and I love the accessories department it's is totally awesome one stop shop. read more

For the most part clean and organized, but somehow, unlike Filene's, Loehmann's, Neiman's Last Call, or even sister store, Marshall's, TJ's always has this unsettling mess of chaos and foolishness on its shelves. Half-filched gift sets, missing caps/bows/buttons, vandalized price tags, self-made ''testers,'' etc. (Thank God they don't sell tampons.) In fairness, this happens at ALL TJX stores. TJ Maxx just brings out the creep in people. Who values materialism so much they act like a Mongol invader? Main Line class. This store has always had higher-end brands than other locations, but for that reason, it gets picked over, regularly. Nearby Lilly Pulitzer co. used to dump a lot of overstocks here, like back when they were cool. I've seen some pretty nice stuff, most recently a Givenchy cocktail jacket on clearance for $1500 (not really a bargain). Just posted pics of some Longchamp, Tods, and Dolce bags, there was a Celine one too, but I didn't take a pic b/c the handle was broken and IMO it should not have even been on the floor. As expected with couture-ier names, you won't see the most desirable colors or styles, but that's what you get when you discount shop. There is always plenty of Polo, Hilfiger, NorthFace, Coach, MK, and all those other logos-for-the-masses on the racks. TJ's puts the bougie "status" brands above all else, because that's what sells to the middle class. Case in point, where did Jon Gosselin buy his Ed Hardy? And who paid him to wear it? Because who watching him shops at TJX? IMO, the staff at this location is more professional than other stores. Broomall's staff has an every-customer-I-see-is-a-thug attitude. Wayne's staff is superior and aloof. To Aurian R, who had a bad experience, I am sorry for that. To help you feel a little better, IMO, snobbery on the Main Line doesn't necessarily have to do with the color of your skin. There may be a layer I am not aware of in your case, but most everyone gets a dose of snobbery on the Main Line. I do know, from all my trips here over many years, that there is a LOT of diversity at this store, both in clientele and personnel, and there always has been. Just look at the other Yelp reviewers below you, they come from all over, all creeds and colors, all walks of life. read more

I purchased a purse for my wife at a Delaware TJ Maxx, but she didn't like it. So I went to return it at this store the day after Christmas. First, They told me they couldn't credit my account because the tag was removed. Who gives a gift with the price tag still on the item? Next, since it was removed, they had to check to be sure the tag matched the item. After a few minutes, they said it didn't (despite my receipt had the same code as the item I returned) and I need to go back to the Delaware store to return the item. I went to the Delaware store and the return happened in less than one minute. I explained what happened in Villanova and they were shocked and said it didn't make sense. I smelled BS too when I was there. I wonder why? read more

The customer service was horrible. Was never greeted at the register to start. While doing a return without a receipt I was asked multiple times if I had the receipt.... After I had already given them my ID to scan. I had to reiterate multiple times that it was a gift. They asked me where I had gotten it? A secret Santa at work if they must know! The tag was missing the department and they stated they wouldn't be able to process the return despite it being men's socks, and the department obviously being men's. The price and six digit item number were clearly still on the tag. The cashier and I'm assuming coordinator along with another associate were all extremely rude and degrading. I stated I had worked at TJ Maxx previously in the past and was well aware that it was simply missing the department number, and all they needed to do was enter the department number of men's. That really pissed them off. They walked away from the register without telling me anything about if they were even going to continue to try and process the return or not so I was just left standing there. As someone who has worked at TJ Maxx in the past, I was extremely disappointed with the level of customer service. They then stated that because I have worked there I should know better than to try to return this? A gift with a tag that was only missing a department number? I will never return to this TJ Maxx ever again. The entire staff was degrading and rude. read more

This hurts me to write. I love TJX and all their stores. I always come out with cool stuff and spending too much money. This is the worst TJ Maxx ever! The workers here seem like they don't care and are miserable. It goes along way when someone smiles at you to smile back. Or if I say thank you say something back! The fitting room floors are disgusting. So many dust bunnies and crap all over the floor. I went home and had to wash my feet... I also had the unfortunate need to use the ladies room when I was there. As soon as you turn into the hallway you get hit in the face with the unmistakable smell of urine. I mean wow! How dirty do the bathrooms have to be for the hallway to smell like urine. The ladies room was atrocious. This is a Villanova, St. Davids, Radnor, mainline TJX. Get your shit together! read more

It's a shame because this store has a lot of great products. I had multiple things in hand ready to buy, but wanted to purchase from jewelry. I waited over 30 minutes and wasn't helped. They were busy with one customer who was still trying to figure out what to buy. I heard the employee ask for assistance twice and no one came. A disgruntled customer got the woman's attention and was helped immediately and paid. I was still left waiting... So I left the store not buying anything I had picked up. Guess it's good for my wallet. But I probably won't come back to this store for a while. read more

I love TJ Maxx and this particular one is very good with the exception of customer service. I have been shopping at TJ Maxx for many years and it is always a pleasant experience except for this particular one in St. Davids PA. The staff is really rude for no apparent reason. I kept trying to get some service at the jewelry counter and was bluntly ignored for good 5 minutes. There were two women at the counter and neither one lifted her head as I was calling out. Finally they did react to me, one saying that she was already helping a customer and the other one didn't say anything and didn't appear to do any work at all. Unless, of course, her job was thinking. So I apologized an didn't know she was helping a customer (she was just standing there, looking for something on one of the shelves, of all I know she could have been just organizing stuff). So her reply was a sarcastic "uh-huh" as if I knew she was helping a customer but still had the nerve to call out to a very busy salesperson. I said there was no need to start anything since I really didn't know. Her and the other salesperson proceeded to make sarcastic remarks about me in front of me and other customers standing near by. I can't describe the degree of humiliation. And that was not the first time it happened. The last time I have been there similar thing happened. I wonder if previous reviewer was referring to the same sales people I have dealt with. From my knowledge jewelry counter normally has one person and not two, and if two are there they are both usb helping customers and not just standing around ignoring them. Also other TJ Maxx stores have much better customer service, Abington one in particular. I NEVER had a problem in any other location. it's a shame thought, because the store does have a good selection of merchandise and is in a good location. Although I never spent much money there because they make shopping experience so unpleasant read more

Customer service here hurts the shopping experience for sure. The line to check out is always long and I put something on hold (because I couldn't wait for the long line) and when I came back, they lost it. People push and it's just stressful to shop here. Nothing good about it but their inventory. read more

Purchased a toy at TJMaxx in Broomall on Monday late afternoon. Got it home, removed price tags (original and red markdown tags) and began gift wrapping it. I noticed a tear in the packaging so I went online to find a photo of the item. Glad I did because someone had "helped themselves" to the transformer vehicle. I was in the vicinity of TJMaxx in Radnor today where I returned the item. I explained the situation to the sales rep and she asked her manager how to handle the return with no price tag. The manager instructed the sales rep on how to create new labels and how to process the return. It appeared to me that this item that was not complete was going to be placed back on the sales floor for the next unsuspecting customer to purchase. Seems ridiculous to me to put it back out on the sales floor. When I asked the sales rep if that was what was going to be done, she replied "I don't know". I am just relieved that I noticed the missing item before actually giving it as a gift. read more

They have a great Runway section and a fantastic collection of designer bags. If you are in the market for an iPad case or iHome, you can find a bunch here, all at great prices. I was able to get a silver leather Michael Kors iPad case for $35! The shoes section is decent, as is the jewelry. They do have a very very nice inventory of designer perfumes and creams, though. Most of the staff are very helpful and pleasant, with the exception of one or two. Overall, a great department store to find accessories and creams. The clothing selection is on par with those at most TJ Maxx stores, with plenty of RL and Max Studio. read more

My fiancé and I went here to purchase a men's north face jacket. Price marked 149.99$. The cashier insisted on insinuating that we switched tags on this item. We are African American and we were followed around the store the entire time. And once we got to the register it was no different. There was no way in God's name that we could have switched the tags nor did we want to because we don't live our lives that way. We also just won 1,000$ at Harrahs Casino in New Jersey so needless to say we had ample money to pay for our merchandise. It's just the simple fact that not many African Americans come to this particular location and it showed because we were practically bullied out of the store. Please teach your staff to respect all people no matter their color or race and if you want to follow paying customers around, follow all of the customers around. Not just the ones of color. I will never shop with your company again. Nice to see how you all operate. Lastly, Thanks for the incredible discounted north face down coat ;) that one of YOUR staff members must have "price marked incorrectly". Don't ever blame that mistake on a customer. A paying customer. read more

The product is amazing but the people who work there are miserable and rude. I went to return some items today and I called yesterday to confirm i could because it was two days after the 30 day return policy ended (Easter through my schedule off) and the cashier was so obnoxiously rude. I told her I called and spoke to someone who said it should be fine to return and she yells at me "who did you speak to?!" I don't know who answered the phone, I just know I spoke to someone who said it shouldn't be a problem. She then proceeds to call on the walkie talkie to all the employees in the store and loudly says "someone talked to someone on the phone and said it was okay to return something after 30 days?!" It was like she thought I was lying and it was embarrassing and humiliating that she handled a return this way. I had my receipt, all tags attached, my credit card, but she treated me like trash. Completely not okay. read more

If someone gave me a $1,000 certificate for TJ Maxx at this location......I would throw it away. I shopped here for the first time and I have to say it was a terrible experience.....everyone from the workers, to even the customers ! were very rude. I hate to say it....but I must....very stuck up. I had no idea that this was even possible to happen. The clothes were limited......the active section was small and picked through. And again....I have to say I was never treated this way at any other store like this. If you are the average working person.....stay away. If you are a stuck up Main Liner....Im sure you will love it read more

This store has a lot of really nice brands but the mens section is always thin. They do have a great ladies departmebt absinthe housewares are pretty good as well. I wish there was a more stocked guys section for myself but for now, I'll just be holding the bags for my wife. read more

I am always satisfied with my experience at this TJ Maxx. Sometimes, these kinds of stores can be messy, scattered, and overall not worth it, but this one is a favorite of mine. I always find a good selection of clothes at good prices, and have never found the store to be overly messy or disorganized. The staff has always been friendly and attentive as well. It is probably my favorite TJX store in the area! read more

The size and selection at this TJ Maxx blew my mind. The fitting room attendant is super nice and helpful. My main reason to go to TJ Maxx or Marshall's is for the discount Yankee candles. They didn't have a huge selection of the Yankee brand but they had enough and plenty of other beautiful candles to check out too. read more

Has to be the best TJMaxx in all of southeast PA. It is so hard to find designer yet inexpensive men's clothing in PA yet this location never disappoints. Every time I walk in I leave with awesome stuff like rag and bone sweaters or theory tshirts. It's worth the trip to come here. PS parking is difficult sometimes so try to get there early. read more

Remember when TJ Maxx always used to be over 50% off regular retail? I do. Prices have raised, service has gotten worse, majority of products are damaged; not simply last season. The othet day, I was helped by a woman named Victoria, who is extremely rude. I've had my fair share of encounters with TJ Maxx employees, but she really took it too far. Starred me down, didn't reply when I said hello, snapped at me, asking if I was "going to swipe my card" when I had been holding out cash for several seconds. Actually grabbed it from me. Messed up the change. Didn't hand me my bag. I had to separate her terribly done bagging from the unused bags as she didnt bother to separate them. Didn't wrap the mirror I purchased, (which is usually done at TJ Maxx/Home Goods for delicate items) and I didn't bother asking her to as I obviously did something to bother her. It shattered on the way home. I've been shopping here multiple times a week since it opened, and I'm getting really sick of the people at check out. Generally people in the dressing rooms/women at the jewelry counter are great. I just am so tired of the attitude I inevitably have to face when making a purchase. read more

This is my favorite TJX store in the area. It is so well stocked compared to others (I.e. broomall..) and has a great variety of decent clothing at very low prices, despite the fact they also have a designer section and seem to carry more higher end merchandise than other stores. They have the best variety of leather handbags, compared to the other tjmaxx's around which seem to have mostly lower end purses. Always find something decent at a great price here. Funny there is an issue at the jewelry counter though, I read a review below and have witnessed the same rude behavior by the jewelry counter clerks as another poster described. They will not offer any assistance, and I saw one clerk get in a little tiff with a customer about him not being next to be served, when she wasnt even serving anyone to begin with. Kind of strange others have noticed the same thing! But other than that this is one of the best stores stores around for better purses, clothing and shoes. read more

This is best bargain place. I like furniture here and they have better quality than ballard store or Ethan stores.

I'm posting my review here for the professionalism of ANA Pelez. I'm not sure if she is a manager or supervising employee, but she was classy, elegant, and understanding of an issue I had with an article of clothing I had previously bought which pilled upon wearing, because of the acrylic. I'm not rating the rest of the store with 5 stars, because I actually think some of the employees have attitudes and act entitled, but will certainly give Ana a great review. read more

Best selection of TJ Maxx's anywhere in this area. Definitely skewed toward designer merchandise. Great handbags and jewelry (I've found Judith Ripka jewelry here before). Selection at discount stores like this always varies but it's clean and well organized. read more

I have had no problems with experience at the St. Davids TJ Maxx until recently. There were two incidents that have occurred in the past few months when the manager was rude and unprofessional. Returning an item for credit with a receipt should not have ANY issues whatsoever. The manager kept insisting that the item was not purchased at that TJ Maxx, because the description of the item did not match the actual item being returned. The serial numbers on both the receipt and attached tag matched, the brand name matched, and the receipt was present. I was appalled to hear that this was not enough, and not to mention the staff were beyond rude in saying "Go back to where you got this from..." And, if there was an error in description, why should the customer be punished for the lack of accuracy regarding the management/staff's responsibilities. No efforts were shown to investigate or help resolve the situation. It was very clear that the manager had NO desire to help the customer at hand. I don't write reviews usually, but I believe sharing my experience will shine light on one of the worst experiences I've had at a retail store, and a man, in a managerial position, that definitely did not handle the encountered situation with professionalism and moral behavior. read more
