Very Disappointing Experience . Would Not Recommend I had a terrible experience here. The technician was extremely rough, harshly removing skin from my toes and even causing them to bleed. Hygiene was a major concern the tools did not appear to be properly sanitized and seemed to be reused between customers without proper cleaning. I left feeling uncomfortable and worried about the risk of infection. I would strongly advise others to avoid this place for safety and hygiene reasons.
Came in for a fill and solid color to make it easy. Hadn't been here in years and I'm so sad I chose to give this place my time. The shape was almond and he completely changed the shape and left them incredibly crooked. I asked if he could trim the size and he said no. I came in with a French tip and I chose to go with a solid color to make it easier. It looks like my child painted my nails it's so uneven and bumpy. I hate them. 38$ of my hard earned money and so much time wasted sitting in the chair. I learned my lesson.
went in for a nail removal, which was really quick! just how i like it! then I got myself a full set acrylic short almond nail, which did not take long. The lady who attended me was very nice and made sure that the design and the shape of the nail was how I wanted it to be. I will say I'm a little iffy with the design cause it's very different than what im used to but it still came out cute regardless I would definitely recommend for something simple here and I would definitely return :)
I have been coming to TJ Nails for some time, and the people here are nice. I have come across some rude workers before but the majority of the workers here are polite. I always ask for price before any service just to not get a miss understanding. The quality is decently good. Prices are a little pricey but I haven't come across one yet that wasn't worth the price. The place is clean to an extent and happy to know they take appointments. I recommend coming here for your pedicure and manicure.
I do not recommend this place : 1. It's filthy , you can tell floor, chairs and desks have not been cleaned for weeks 2. The mayority of Employees are rude (not all) and they are not gentle with you 3. It's stinks when you walk in
Don't waste your money ! And I don't even rate them 1 star. Worst fill I have ever gotten in my life . These nails are just embarrassing. Took no time to clean the excessive polish or gel of the sides of my nails and fingers.
Tenía tiempo sin venir a este lugar y ya recordé por que no lo hacía. Trabajan muy a la brava, a como te pegan la uña así te la dejan no quieren saber si quedo pareja. En especial la uña del dedo gordo la dejo super chueca y no quise salir de ahí sin hacérselo saber. Y según ella para arreglar seguí limando y solo la empeoraba. Agrego más acrílico y siguió haciéndolo peor. Después llamo a la persona que está enfrente y miro que no tenía arreglo y le dijo que me pusiera una nueva a lo cual me negué ya que me sentía muy frustrada y tampoco quería que me limara más mi uña a lo cual ella le dijo en voz alta que no quise aceptar. Cuando aplicó el gel casi ni tenía producto y apenas estaba sacando. Puso 3 capaz de gel chicloso lo cual hizo que quedara muy mal, con bolas. Ya para terminar me ofreció diseño gratis obvio dije que no imagina si era gratis que cochinero iva a dejarme. Claro que no deje tip. Muy mal para un negocio así de grande ya que están ahí hagan las cosas bien quizás así tendrían más trabajo.
I went in to take off my acrylics so I went to whatever shop i found on Google since it was something i believed would be simple . My first mistake was not checking the reviews before going in! She began to remove my nails and she was already being rough and trying to yank them off . I asked her to soak off since it would maybe hurt less and cause less damage to my nails . I could tell she was frustrated but still did what I asked and used cold acetone instead of warm like other places usually do to help speed the process. I didn't want to complain anymore since i could feel her frustration. Once she finished she asked if I would also like a manicure , I told her sure why not no color just manicure . The worker then grabbed a bottle and SPRAYED my nails, "filed" and cut down and said all done . I then said ok and was waiting for my pedicure to finish( which I can't complain the lady was nice) I then thought about it and decided to speak up when she brought me the check and said $10 for manicure . It's not about the money All about the customer service ! then after I told her this is not a manicure you didn't even push my cuticles back or clean up the sides she went to grab a bowl to do a manicure the right way and I told her no I don't want it anymore my pedicure is now done just don't charge me please. she then GRABBED MY HAND TRYING TO FORCE MY HAND INTO THE BOWL . I then used my left hand to move her hand off me and told her "no stop I don't want it anymore " and she let go and was upset about it . I spoke to the girl doing acrylic in the first desk by the cashier when I went to pay . She asked if everything was ok and I asked "when a manicure is done does it include cuticle push back complete file and clean up ? the girl in the desk then replied yes , I then told her she didn't do any of that which is why I didn't think it was fair to charge me she then replied yes it's OK we won't charge you the $10 in the moment I was in shock and disbelief of what had happened I couldn't believe the lady that had assisted me was so rude and even GRABBED my ARM TRYING TO FORCE IT IN THE BOWL! I will never be returning to this place ,feel free to read other reviews as well you will see the horror!
No recomiendo este lugar cuando me estaban haciendo las uñas le dije que me ardía demaciado no le importo siguió aplicándolas y 2 horas depues llamo no aguantaba el dolor me dijo regresa regrese el siguiente día me dijo no te puedo regresar el dinero le dije samelas con otro producto me dijo tienes que pagar porque no es mi problema le dije quítamelas no pagara por eso me trato mal y tardo 1.30 minutos para poder quitármelas
Please do not waste your time at this Salon. I was sitting next to my sister (13) as she got her nails done. Many times people have scammed my sister because she does not know much which is why I stayed beside her to make sure the job was good. Every time I brought something up to her attention she was annoyed, bothered, and more importantly rude about it all. She constantly was rolling her eyes, smacking her lip, or huffing and puffing. Then, she was doing the most with starting to raise her voice. After, the fact she YELLED at me and my sister because I was complaining to my sister on how she didn't pay attention that her nail was crooked. We were so upset my sister left with plains nails because we could not stand the disrespect. On top of all this unprofessional jam and rudeness there salon is filthy. There was a HUGE cockroach in the restroom. They do NOT sanitize there equipment as you can see debris of fingernails in them. Honestly, 0 stars Simple Awful Salon DO NOT RECOMMEND
Horrible job. Mani + Pedi took 15 minutes. Not enough time to do a good job. Manicure was awful. I had to keep pointing out parts of my nails that had to be cleaned - excess cuticles left, crooked nail filing, etc. She didn't even moisturize my cuticles with a cuticle oil and my hands were dry when she was done. She sprayed alcohol up to my arms for a "massage". It burned. The towel she used was dirty because it had dried nail polish on it which left a scratch on my arm when she used it to dry the alcohol off. The clear coat at the end wasn't even done right. She didn't cover the entire nail so now the manicure looks patchy. Pedicure was even worse. She kept pulling my feet all over the place which was uncomfortable and dangerous for nail tech working on my hands. She cut my nails waaaaaay too deep on the sides of my nail beds and days later my toes still hurt when I walk. She cut off pieces of nail that are part of my nail bed. Now it's just painful and damaged. She sprayed alcohol all over my feet from a distance and even sprayed my jeans. I kept telling her she was hurting me and she just carried on like nothing. Overall, terrible place. It also smelled horrible. Like their toilet overflowed. Will not be back here.

went in for a nail removal, which was really quick! just how i like it! then I got myself a full set acrylic short almond nail, which did not take long. The lady who attended me was very nice and made sure that the design and the shape of the nail was how I wanted it to be. I will say I'm a little iffy with the design cause it's very different than what im used to but it still came out cute regardless I would definitely recommend for something simple here and I would definitely return :) read more

Worst pedicure I've ever gotten!! Shape is horrendous. I asked the lady to file even after she was done and this is was the finished product. She did so many layers of both the clear and color polish. Never coming here again!! read more

i usually get my nails done here but it's been two weeks i got my nails done and they're already lifting and one broke . i always get them done with the older male with him my nails last for a month !! only bad thing about him he always cuts me somehow but the nail quality is better than anyone in there. this time i got them done by a lady because he was busy and i was in a rush so i didn't want to wait for him . now i regret it . i don't think ill go back . who did this set she didn't paint them right either read more

Two stars. Pedicures are okay. Manicures are not. Air bubbles everywhere. I hate feeling rushed and this lady didn't bother to check whether I was content with the job. I do not recommend. I am paying for a service and I expect a good job. read more

Wow I'm beyond so happy with my nails!! Not Gunna lie i was skeptical about this place because of the bad reviews but i was literally in desperate need of getting my nails done! A friend had practice doing acrylics on me and it was beyond horrible and i needed a last minute 360 before going out on vacation this past weekend!! May i say Danny was amazing and so patient with me as i was so upset!! He completely took my nails off no charge and fixed me up!! I left such a happy camper i even tipped him so good because i was just so happy with the results! I don't have a before picture of the ugly ruined nails a friend did but i have the ones daddy did on me Friday!! Thank you! Pricing is also decent! I literally got for what i paid read more

I just got my nails done 4-18 and look at how ugly they are already. Super flat thin and ugly. I showed the guy one pic and he gave me this. When I told the manager/owner she said I should have said something after one nail.... Like I was supposed to know he was going to mess up my nails.... I also had to ask for the older lady with dark hair to not do my nails since she hurt me 3 times and I already have had bad experiences with her doing my toes... Gems fell off super fast... My feet have been super itchy since I visit this place everything was horrible!!!! read more

Came in 7/13 was attended by May. I decided to try out the powder dip with French tip. May was very attentive and made sure I was satisfied. During the process she'd stop and ask if I was okay. She has some extremely great customer service. I also got a gel pedicure. The lady ( forgot to ask for name ) did a great job as well. She cut and cleaned my toes very good without me asking she got every spot! She truly is talented in what she does. Overall, Maywood finally has an amazing nail salon. It is located in the heart of Maywood and is very eye catching. I am amazed at how well they do acrylics as well. I will definitely be returning! read more

I don't recommend this place at all. My partner and I received a pedicure at this location and we both got ingrown nails. We went back to give them another chance but we got another ingrown nail and this time it sent me to the ER almost lost my foot. This place really messed me up to the point I will no longer trust anyone with my toes. Not to mention they don't sanitize their equipment. As soon as they're done with one person they move on to the next without sanitizing their tools. They also try to scam by adding services and when you ask about the price they are rude. They say they will massage you for 10min if you pay the service but they don't give a massage they just apply the lotion on your legs and move on. Onto manicures, I took my daughter to get her nails done and I told them gel and an hour later her paint was falling off. As to me, I wanted a simple French tip and they told me a price at first so I agreed but after the service they wanted to charge me even more. The vibes at this location are not it. They look like they judge in their language. No thank you. Do not recommend this location. read more

There was a long wait, however, because I was going in for a manicure, they were able to attend me quickly. I sat down and they began working on my nails, and it was probably the worst experience. I had my gel manicure still on my nails from my last visit and they started to remove the polish but were very rude about it and were hurting me since they were filing the gel off and were not considering that they were scraping my skin as well. Another person came in and my manicurist who was doing my nails left to attend the other person. I waited 5 minutes before someone else came to attend me. I showed them a reference photo of what I wanted and they said no. The best they can do is one solid color. I was like yeah, no. Is there anyone who can do it? Waited another 5 minutes before a sweet old lady came to assist me. She was super patient and fixed up my nails nicely. I wish I would have gotten her name because she made my experience a better one. If you do go, I recommend going when there isn't a rush of people waiting because they will be rude and try to push you into doing your nails they way they want to. read more

Second time at TJ Nails and they haven't disappointed. Went on a Sunday and wait time was not long at all, loved my gel pedi and mani! Will definitely be coming back! read more
