The Ocala Macy's was so dirty I could not believe this proud department-store chain would let a store deteriorate like this. The ladies room was not just filthy -- which it was -- but it also had cracked, dirty floors, plumbing fixtures that were so outdated I was amazed they worked and why is the toilet 6 inches off the floor?. Honestly, I have seen gas-station restrooms that would put this one to shame, and not in a god way. To add insult to smelly injury: I could not find a clerk to ring up my merchandise. I finally left in disgust. I will not be going back.

There were alot of long stained carpets, and dinged up shelving, in a way Macys never would have allowed years ago. I expect that from the second line type places that come in after the major chains leave, but was surprised to see it in an establishment that one would think takes itself seriously. Its a huge hodge-podge store with a lot of everything. You need to have some time and patience to scan the shelves, or come with a list knowing what you want. Helpful staff here who can direct you to what you're looking for if you can find one in the aisles.

I had a big purchase yesterday but the clerk forgot to put the receipt in my bag. I called and talked to Kristine. She found the receipt and will make sure it gets to me! We were regular customers in NJ for many years before moving here. Today we were extremely. Disappointed and quite frankly very upset. We purchased about 10 items every 2 pieces were wrung up with 25% off of the 2 items. This did not come out as buy one get one free. I have never had a time in this store feeling as though this company is trying to rip customers off. Other people in the store also agreed. Put up signs that say 25% off each item If that is what you are doing. Shame on you for thinking people are not as smart as you. Do better. Just as an FYI we spent over $500 today. Surprisingly, there is a full service hair and nail salon situated inside through a side opening in the wall, almost as a "Speak Easy" - I took a quick peek. Most of the items in the store are dedicated to the female persuasion, so I guess a beauty salon was the right move. The employee was friendly and very attentive. The inventory was very nicely situated in sections including, Crislu jewelry, Volupsa candles, Longchamp purses, logo socks, decorative soaps, side table decor, lotions, perfumes and of course Christmas decor. Most of the items here would be the perfect gift for the White Elephant game at any family gathering.

Willow Boutique has possibility but is small and somewhat confusing…read more I went during a trip to Ocala after seeing them post that morning about clothing for sale in the shop. I arrived to a small office type building with a small sign for Willow on their business list. (The building itself didn't have any signage.) I attempted to enter but the door was locked despite it being well within business hours and nowhere near lunch time. Disappointed I decided to enter the business next to it- a upscale salon type shop. It was fun to wander through the small space (10 by 10 feet if I had to guess,) but again no one was there. We wandered further and saw a hair salon and a massage studio- both completely empty. It was actually a bit eerie until we stumbled upon a nail salon with one nail specialist and customer, neither of which seemed fazed by our presence. Finally, we entered Willow from the back hallway and saw what they had to offer- not much. Gone were many of the outfits I had wanted to try on. There was a chalkboard inside the store stating they were at a (no name provided) pop up somewhere that day. Why not keep someone staffed in the store, or at the very least post on social media about the pop up/closure? The experience was frustrating to say the least... In my short unsupervised wander through the boutique I found a cup and bracelet I would have purchased, and their Instagram features a few cute things, so I think it has potential but they need to get more organized.
