This store has a good selection of items from clothing apparel, to beauty and even home goods and furniture. Great pricing for the things they sell, and conveniently located near the PG mall and competitors at Ross and Marshall's. My experience at this location was truly unfortunate and unpleasant. Although the store was very clean and organized, I was in the jewelry section and heard the manager yelling at an employee; her voice was so loud and carried so far that I couldn't help but turn around. It put me in such an uncomfortable position that I felt sorry for the employee. Even though I still had things to buy, I decided to leave. I got in line, and to my surprise, the same manager was standing behind the cashiers, exerting pressure and creating tension--I could see her name was Tracy. Whenever a customer took a little time to check out, she would shout "Next in line!" in a way that made me wonder how anyone could work under that kind of pressure. A moment that should have been peaceful and relaxing turned into something very uncomfortable; I would think twice before returning to this store. read more

absolutely disgusting, the store it's self is fine and clean when it comes down to clothes, some areas are a bit unclean but the bathroom is worst. it's terrible, there are toilet paper all over the place and some even are bloody and have crap smeared on the toilet. I have pictures of how bad it looks and the worst part is the workers refuse to clean it, it's completely unsanitary even in the disability stall. (this is for the woman's bathroom) read more

I came in here with a few things that I knew I was in need of, but also ended up with a few things I really wanted as well. I have to give it to this location, even though we all know how a TJ Maxx usually looks, this somehow looked organized and well stocked. I browsed and even though the merchandise is not consistent they had it organized in a way that like items were very near one another. I needed simple items that I just couldn't find elsewhere or in any of my boxes. Honestly, I still don't know where they are, those items are basically lost to me, how do you loose a box of items in a move? It has been a while since I lived on my own and I needed to stock up on some essential items, or items that are essential if you want to live on your own. I ended up coming out of here with some crazy essential items to me. Customer service here was excellent. And by the time that I had finished in here, the entrance to the mall had opened. read more

Great TJ Max, a lot of supplies, always friendly people, the store is clean, Selection is great and always a great value.

This store is in PG Plaza. There is plenty of parking. I suggest being diligent about packages and purses. The store has nice displays throughout the space. Finding an employee is challenging. You might loczte someone by the jewelry counter. I like the clearance areas. I usually get packing cubes and zippered plastic pouches from TJ Maxx. There were noisy, unattended kids running around. I purchased a suitcase from TJ Maxx for a trip I planned to take to Las Vegas In February. When I was leaving the hotel to return home the handle that extends broke. I contracted Covid upon my return and could not immediately return the suitcase. When I attempted to return the suitcase at the TJMaxx, Mall in Prince Georges County in Hyattsville, MD. the salesperson called someone who I assumed was a manager. The manager said adamantly they could not take the suitcase back because it was damaged and could not be resold. I tried to explain but for the broken handle, I liked the bag and would keep it. She said because the bag could not be resold I could not return it. I was not offered a store credit or even a replacement. Unfortunately, the TJMaxx I purchased the suitcase from (Greenbelt, MD) closed on March 2. So, I am stuck with a $70.00 suitcase that I can not use. This location just opened three days ago, so it is super clean and organized. There are huge hanging signs to direct you to the department of your choice. Prices are decent. At least in the women's department, they have many racks that are organized by designer. The seasonal items are upfront to tempt you to buy something on impulse. I saw cute dog Halloween costumes advertised on their website, but they didn't have them in the store. Bummer. I thought because this store just opened, that they'd have everything. The salesperson that I spoke to was helpful; he didn't remember seeing the costumes. Oh well, my pooch will be relieved. They do have decent gourmet foods. I bought vanilla beans (2ct) for $4.99. At Penzeys they cost $9.35 for three. Not a huge savings, but no coupons needed! TJ Maxx is attached to Prince George's Plaza, but you don't need to enter the mall to gain access here. read more

This is not my favorite TJMaxx, and seriously doubt I will be returning to this one until the employees receive better training. The only person in charge on January 5th,,a coordinator named Tanya, refused to give cash for a recent debit card merchandise return. All tags attached, all receipts offered, debit card offered. It was only after I phoned two other stores and they confirmed that a cash return is owed the customer, that she called her manager who confirmed that I should be given cash if requested. She then lied and said that they were just accommodating me, when I had explained that it's company policy to give a customer cash because a debit card is cash. She then admonished me for telling her that she doesn't know her job, obviously she doesn't know her job. Now I won't purchase there for stated reasons until they get this policy clarified and properly train their clerks and "coordinator." They need better management, the cashier was just following incorrect instructions, so not her fault. I've had other store cashiers ask for proof from the receipt that a debit card was used, the word Debit is clearly printed on the receipt, and refund cash once I showed them the word debit. Otherwise the store is fine, it's tidy and well organized. read more

Not a bad place to go find some gems. Whether its a candle, a new pair of pants, facial products its a good place to get some quick things but to shop as well. There's a ton of parking and it's great around the holidays when they have Christmas sweaters. I got the cutest light up skirt. Staff is pretty nice as well. read more

Need to change the manager (L.Bush) ASAP, you are losing customers because of her lack of professionalism. You lost 4 customers today The store is disorganized, the baby department was so messy and everything on the floor that you could not even walk through the aisles. Make things very hard for a pregnant women of 36 weeks like me After spending two hrs looking for baby stuff decide to pay. The cashier attitude was not friendly at all and the manager was the same. Not willing to help, and honestly didn't care of losing customers. When I got to the cashier I had 2 $10 rewards from my TJmaxx credit card.I did not have my credit card which I wanted to use, and I asked to the cashier if she could locate my information with my SSN and my ID, and she said she could not. Both rewards were valid and in pristine conditions but one was not taken by the system. The cashier called the manager and she stated that I was not going to be able to use it. I asked her the reason if the rewards were not expired, they were in excellent conditions to Be scanned, i am a regular customer. And she just said that I should call to the bank because as "THE MANAGER" she could not help me at all & that I should figure it out! Honestly a manager should be able to expedite the check out process and to help Customers. She should have applied the discount and SHE should have called the bank after the customer leaves. Especially if one of the cash rewards was accepted. Honestly I don't recommend this store with this lack of customer service. read more

I'm not sure what's with all the hate. The customer service at this location isn't ideal but I don't really care about that at TJ Maxx (or discount stores for that matter). No employee has gone out of their way to be rude to me. I occasionally pop in when I get off work early and I always find something cute. There's a good selection and the store is clean. I typically go to this store on the weekends or during the evenings after work. This location isn't too bad. I always find something cute there. The lines can get a bit long on the weekends. However, the store is usually pretty clean and the staff is for the most part friendly. I have noticed that the men's clothing section seems to be hit or miss for my Beau. He wear's a 2x in shirts because he has big arm muscles (LOL) and he never seems to find his size. I will continue to shop at this location. read more

Know that all negative reviews ARE reflective of the LACK of customer service in this store - from the MANAGER Desiree - who tried to AVOID me when told a customer wanted to speak to her about a complaint. She literally walked in the OPPOSITE direction. Then, when I told them to refund me the almost $300 in purchases I had just made, the clerk (LaToya) REFUSED to wait on me because I was upset and according to LaToya she "didn't have to deal with me".... Oh really.... So, I left the store more upset BUT with every intent to report this to headquarters - I almost forgot. The report is going in NOW. Shop elsewhere. If management is rude and disrespectful to the customers you can believe that attitude permeates the entire store. read more

Store manager Arnetta has horrible customer service. I called the store this morning to check and see if the store had specific paper plates I need for my daughters graduation. The associate who as swerved the phone Andrea was very friendly, she transferred the phone call to the store manager on duty Arnetta. I tried to explain to Arnetta that I was checking to see if they has the plates in stock, she cut me off in mid sentence and proceeded to tell me it is company policy not to check or hold items for customers. I tried to explain that I just wanted to see if the store had any Rea Dunn desert plates, but she just hung up on me. I called the store back again to ask for store managers name they transferred me to her again and she hung up on me a second time. I will definitely be contacting corporate in the morning. If I could have given the store zero stars I would have she sets a poor example for the company!!!! read more
