I honestly love this Target. When I first moved to College Park, I'd literally only go to the Target in Silver Spring because I was scared to try something new but ever since I came here once, this is my new home base. I am literally here at least 3 times a week and they have never steered me wrong, I always find what I need and I am in and out. Especially when I order groceries with Drive-up. The one thing I will say is that Target is obviously not a "groceries first " kind of place because when they are out of stock on a food item, it usually stays that way for a while. I'm not sur eif that is a location or brand issue though. read more

Worst Target I've ever been in. Zero customer service!! I came in to find another pair of wonder socks and inquire about the 40% off sign posted (see photos). Long story short, after the inquiry and leaving one cashier in Exchanges and Returns, to go and take a picture of the sign because she didn't believe me, come back and stand in line again, the "manager' Jada did not honor the sign for the same brand - Wonder shop socks - saying the ones I selected (circled in the pic) that were in the SAME section as the 40% off SIGN, did not apply to the sale but were 20% on the app. Huh??? Target - do better! Hire smarter people or be clear about the signage in your stores. I saw the same sign at a store in Ashburn as well. All of those women working on 12/22/24 at 11:30am at that R&E counter were Despicable!!!! Poorest customer service ever. read more

Customer service was good. The only thing is I went to self checkout because they only had one register open and also in self checkout they only had one lane that took cash. It was lunch time so it was pretty crowded for them to only have one register open and one self checkout line that took cash other than that the experience was nice to store was clean and the associates were friendly throughout the store. read more

New to the area and still exploring I just decided to come here as I knew no better. I'm not sure what's going on here as it is a cluster upon coming here. This Target is surrounded by other national chains so that if you want you can do a bunch of shopping without setting foot into the mall portion of this property. You got your typical setup for a Target here. You are greeted by the dollar area then bam, smacked in the face with clothing. I went the other way as I didn't have a reason to go into the clothing area. I actually grabbed a cart while I was in here because I knew I was here for a bigger item I didn't want to have to carry around the whole time. Like other people, I only came for a few things and ended up with than intended. I mean, I wasn't mad about this as I needed some of the items, but I should have known better. read more

I rarely go to this Target location. I had an appointment in the area. I did some Super Bowl shopping! Late afternoon on a weekday so not at all crowded. Stock was neat and store appeared clean. Everything I wanted was in stock. The absolute highlight of my experience was the gentlemen managing self check out, Darryl. Friendly, strikes up a conversation with each customer. Tells us about the scanners, which ones having trouble with cash back. There was only one. His help was immediate if you were in need. Darryl simply made my day. Upon walking in despite passing by multiple employees. Your not greeted or anything. There's no visible sanitizer station near the door. Walking by multiple employees no one says anything like hello or can I help you. The overall store is clean and fully stocked. Most of the Black Friday stuff is already out. The employees here are somewhat friendly but definitely nowhere near professional. Most of the stores items were missing individual pricing **SEE PICS** and just had giant signs at the top of their display with their price which would usually indicate everything below it is that price. NOT HERE. There's also NO EMPLOYEES working as cashier in the front of the store and the only check out lines that are open are self-checkout. Truly ridiculous. Despite receiving millions in taxpayer money to keep target afloat during the pandemic. They refuse to even pay some college kids the bare minimum to work as cashier and instead rather have their customers wait in line at self checkout. Truly amazing. The major downfall at this store is CUSTOMER SERVICE. All kinds of stuff in the store is incorrectly priced and they refused to honor their advertised price on the shelf. The staff here actually WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY to not price match their own sticker prices. Despite me and one of the employees going back to the same section twice. They still refused. Mainly none of the items had pricing on them but a rather giant sign at the top saying $12 **SEE PICS** ,very misleading. The employees answer was for the customer to scan every single item they wanted to buy at the price checker which would mean MYSTERY PRICING instead of having stuff correctly labeled like the rest of the world. At the point. I truly had enough and just said forget it and I'll take the $20 heated blanket I was buying as a gift for someone and that's it. After purchasing the blanket I made my way to the door and the sensormatic alarm goes off. Two security people start running my way like the store was on fire along with the worker who went out of her way to not price match and even rung me up for the blanket. Truly embarrassing. Upon presenting the receipt they all gave up. I have never in my life seen a store this low class and you would think the employees own the stuff by how very defensive they are at this location. The general crowd was mainly adults. Some teenagers. Mainly normal class. The overall noise level was normal for a retail environment. They also had good lighting with good ventilation. Overall. NEVER EVER AGAIN AT THIS LOCATION. Not paying premium prices to be treated like garbage. read more

Avoid the CVS pharmacy, sign says they open at 9:00, even though there was an employee at the counter ready to work, boss woman didn't show up until 9:30 to open up. To be honest, I have rarely had a good experience at a CVS pharmacy anywhere, I do like to shop at target on occasions, so I am not bashing target. read more

I'm at the Starbucks right now. I asked for an Earl Gray with skim milk. First, they didn't know what Earl Gray was. I told them it was a tea. Then they asked me if I wanted half water, half milk. I don't even know what that means, so I said no. They handed me a cup with a tea bag and milk in it. I'm serious. I had them try once more, and it was again some weird combination. I got a refund. This is crazy. How hard can making tea be??? And the staff acted like I was hassling them for what is really just putting a tea bag in a cup, brewing it with hot water, and adding skim milk. No longer my favorite Target. Items here are 30% higher than what's advertised online on Target.com. For that reason alone, I can't get behind supporting this particular location. It's effed up that local residents don't even know how they're getting hustled! All I can say is customer service is your friend - you can price match there and walk out paying the price you're supposed to. In terms of item availability, good luck. Items claimed "in stock" online are absent once you arrive. Makeup shades for anyone with a tinge of bronze in their skin are always gone. During my most recent visit here, I needed an item and didn't see it in the aisle it should be in so I asked the first employee I saw and she shrugged and said she didn't know. Um...ok! This Target is one of the anchors of the mall and is on the north side facing Greenbelt Road. Getting into and out of the parking lot is a bit of a negotiation, but it is what it is. Inside, its the usual Target setup with clothing, electronics, housewares and such. This is not a SuperTarget so there isn't much for groceries. The place could use a bit of a refresh but what in this area doesn't? I was specifically looking for one thing, which it turned out that they did not have. But as it usually happens when I'm in a Target, I end up getting something else. Their selection of Washington Nationals gear was very messy and not well stocked. Lots of small and kids but very few large and certainly not even a single extra large. I got a hat and on the way out, found a bright red tshirt in the men's department. For my visit to the Nats game, this would do okay. read more

Went here late last night (Saturday) for mostly cleaning supplies and other things needed for my home and it was interesting. I had difficulty finding where stuff was because every target has a different arrangement of where they put its section at so I was walking around the store quite a bit wasting time. But the staff was friendly. I was greeted by the person handling the carts upon arrival very nice. And the person assisting with self check out also very friendly and helpful. read more

Had to go out of my way to pick up an in-store only item from this particular store that is 45 minutes from where I live this morning. The lady behind the counter was prompt with helping me to retrieve the item and was very courteous. As soon as I walked into the store (because it's one way out and one way in) I was shocked at how friendly and enthusiastic the lady greeter was because it's such a rarity to see in retail these days, especially around 8 in the morning. Must have been a bad day, at a bad time...or just bad management. Shelves definitely depleted in many spots. One line reaching all the way back to the back of the store, and two registers open at 6:00 in the evening. Left the items I was going to purchase on a shelf and left. Didn't look like I was the first person to do that. On the other hand, the next day I went to the Target in Columbia, MD. What.A.Difference. Clean, stocked, spacious, nicely merchandised, and a lot of items that I would never see in Greenbelt. There was more than one line open, and the wait was minimal. It was worth the drive. read more

This Target is the epitome of dull and dirty. At one time a happening place with lots of product and full shelves, but no more since 2016. Customer service is non existent. You have to ask 2 or 3 employees for help before you get one who actually does what they are supposed to do HELP THE CUSTOMER! One star for the employees who care about what they are doing. Items are marked incorrectly and the food and makeup departments are always empty and a mess, especially the nail polish section. Can you believe their summer clothing and t-shirts are made of POLYESTER? If I wanted a sauna experience I would go to one, but no need if you are wearing any of their POLYester or poly blend clothing. Polyester is 100% synthetic and traps heat and odors. NO THANKS. Tired of seeing 2 pair of underwear showing a dude's butt while his pants are hanging. Not a good look for their associates. Just not a cool display of professionalism at a retail store. Most items are not in stock and the pick up part when ordering online is shameful. Starbucks employees and snack area suck. This Target is going downhill fast. read more

I love Target. But who doesn't? If you think you can go in and buy only what you came into to buy, you're crazy. A quick five minute trip often turns into a two hour vacation. Shm. This Target doesn't disappoint. Great customer service and the selection, though perhaps slightly smaller than other Targets, is typically on par with with any other Target store. Lines can be a bit long, but I always get through! The best part? The fact that the store was transformed into Santa's Workshop and EVERYTHING Christmas was on display before Thanksgiving. I've never been to a Target that was so understocked from items with employees so clueless/lost or unwilling to help. I'm not sure if there was some hiring/learning curve but I literally had one employee walk away from after I asked a question and didn't try to further assist me... I then had another employee start to help me and then walk away to help someone who also asked a question AFTER me... the employees were so incredibly rude. Bundle that with not having 4 out of the 5 things I came for, and you have a very annoyed customer. I'm ok with this Target, the location is a bit off, you'd think they'd have major storefront presence. I had to return a shirt & the process was seamless. The associate was very friendly & processed the return quickly. I had to pick up a few items while I was there. The store itself was pretty clean & there were plenty of employee presence. There were only a few checkouts open, which they weren't too busy. The associate that checked me out was very nice & of course made sure I got my bag discount, used my coupon, the Cartwheel app, & my Target debit Red Card. Plenty of parking. read more

I normally wouldn't use Yelp to review a huge chain store like Target, but the employees at this one are just SO NICE! I moved to the area a few months ago and every time I come in it's clean, the employees are super friendly and helpful, and it's generally surprisingly well stocked given the pandemic. Today I saw a store employee on the phone with a customer while he looked through shelves to double check that they definitely didn't have whatever he was looking for. Also nice how they have separate entrance and exits to help with social distancing and large automatic hand sanitizer dispensers at the entrance and exit. read more

I went into the store looking for AirPods and the three people in the electronics section heard me with one of them saying "He has to get the from the back". The three of them left and went to the back so I assumed they were getting the AirPods. They came back out five minutes later and walked right past the electronics area. That was mad unprofessional. This is my friendly neighborhood target so allow me to tell you about it... it's a basic target. Nothing fancy, it's just target. Don't come in with high expectations and you won't be disappointed. It's your typical target experience, you walk in for one thing and walk out with twenty. It's overpriced and under staffed... but that's all part of the target run! They have what you want, it even has stuff you didn't know you wanted. I used the self checkout, why not, it makes me feel like one of the target team members. This review is specifically for the CVS pharmacy at this Target location. I want to warn people about the pharmacy tech giving vaccines at this Target. My daughter texted me on her way home from getting her booster there, saying it was in a "weird place...in between her neck and shoulder." This is serious, as getting the vaccine in a location other than the CDCs two approved places - the deltoid muscle in the arm and the anterolateral muscle in the thigh- can cause debilitating pain and life long injuries. Her shoulder still hurts and we are currently monitoring her, treating with ice and NSAIDs. I'm writing this review to warn others about this pharmacy, and hopefully preventing more injuries by this pharmacy. I had no idea how much could go so wrong if the vaccine is not given properly. Google the CDC's vaccine training modules, CDC's vaccine administration errors guidance chart, and SIRVA to educate yourselves on proper vaccine administration, when you should report an error, and to learn what can go wrong if not administered incorrectly. read more

The best part about this target is the CVS pharmacy inside. I've never experienced a faster and more efficient pharmacy. Within 5 minutes if my prescription being sent over, I got a call and notification from the text message system. Both girls I spoke to were amazing and were really hustling behind that counter. My wonderful sister got us a year's worth of diaper certificates--worth up to $10.99 for a jumbo pack--so we usually only pay the tax (~$0.65). While out and about on errands in Greenbelt, I stopped into the Tarjay to pickup a pack. Her: Hello. Me: Hi. Her: Did you find everything you needed today? Me: Yup. Her: Would you like to save 10% off your purchase today by getting a Target card? Me: *looks at $0.68 total and mulls over the $0.06 savings* Ummm...no thanks.... I understand that they probably train the employees to do this, but seriously? Location - No giant red balls out front and the interior is still the same as it always has been. Enormous parking lot with plenty of cart return things. Not much else to do in this Mall other than swing by Three Brothers for a bite. Merchandise - Not a Super Target. Several years ago I purchased a small guitar practice amp. Got home hooked it up and it was pure junk. I went back the next day with receipt to return it. They would not except it because they said NO RETURN on ELECTRONIC Products. I asked for the manager. He was not there but they got him on the phone. He sounded like he was about 15. He even had an attitude and said no return. I still have the amp today. Never used it and and have never walked into any Target store since then. In fact I tell everyone I know who may say Target has this or that, I tell them to avoid them. And have you ever noticed when doing a search on an item on the internet that Target always pops up and it has nothing to do with the item you are searching for? I was able to find just what I needed here. I came here to purchase items here for a gift registry. The employees I encountered were helpful and friendly. However, the employee that checked me out appeared not not understand the process of scanning the printed sheets for items purchased for gift registry. Then he was unfamiliar with unlocking the security feature on an electronic item. Although another employee came to help him out, It held up the check out process and customers behind me were becoming frustrated. read more

I've been going to this Target since they opened. It is good to see that some of the employees remain from that time. I have always shopped first at Target for groceries, as they have the best prices. However, I am finding increasingly, that items are not where they are suppose to be. You look at the aisle indicators, but you can't find any of the product that is clearly marked as being there. About 1/4-1/3 of the time, there are no labels showing the prices, or things are displayed under the incorrect labeling. A shelf that generally displays discounted items has half marked, the other half of the same product, not marked. While there many customers who drop things wherever they are, that cannot be the cause of this many issues in the grocery department. I get a constant sense of "I could give a rat's....." from some of the employees. Several months ago I went in looking for 1/2 & 1/2. There was none on the shelves. I asked about it and was told that none had been ordered. NONE HAD BEEN ORDERED!!! Don't these stores have an inventory system? I went in the following week and checked out the diary section - again no 1/2 & 1/2! That's remarkable - and it turns out the person in charge of that section never ordered it. ( I investigate when things go screwy at this store.) Then there are employees who have consistently gone above and beyond, who remember the frequent shoppers, such as myself, and who are helpful, sweet, and kind. The Pharmacy staff is the best I've ever experienced, and I am angered and saddened that CVS *(UGH) has bought all the Target pharmacies. (You can be sure that CVS will find a way to make what was a 15 minute wait for meds into an hour experience. I've never gotten out of a CVS pharmacy without it being an HOUR.) For now, though, that staff continue to give sterling service. This location warrants a "Super Target", and my suspicion is that if it was a gigantor store, the attention to detail would be different. I'm almost tempted to put particular people's names here because they have been so excellent. It seems to me that it's the systems that don't work so well, rather than the staff. If Target headquarters could address the specific issues inherent in having a store in this location, that would benefit the store and the community, as well. read more

I was so disappointed. I have a boot on my foot due to an ankle injury and a need a scooter. There was 3 there none of them charged so that meant I was not gonna get all the items I came in the store for. The lines were long with two or three registers open. Well it has Target written on the building and has some of what I would expect a "Target" to stock but is the bare minimum. Staff don't care at all about much of anything, real lack of direction in how anything is displayed, and usually depressing to visit. Usually my wife (a basic white girl) would rave about spending most of our money while needless impulse shopping @target, this store has basically put a stop to it. To summarize it is so far from the standards she or any other self-respecting average consumer should have she actually just shops elsewhere. read more
