I just dropped off used motor oil in the Automotive department. I was surprised when the gentleman…read morebehind the counter told me I had to fill out a log and enter my full name and address and how much oil I was leaving. I told him that no one else asked me to do this. He said they needed the information so they could account for how much they were receiving. Sorry Walmart, I'm not giving you my name just to drop off Oil. I've been purchasing Oil and dropping Oil off at that location for well over 20 years and now I'm done. You've lost me as a customer. I will go out of my way to buy anything I need anywhere else, but Walmart. Additionally, when I looked at the log to see what had been previously entered everything on, it was barely legible. I don't know how much good this is going to do you, Walmart. It seems kind of pointless to me. It's not a New York State law. It seems to be Walmart policy your policy just cost you a customer and I'm sure there's a few others out there too. Good luck with this.

I like to browse to find that hidden gem. The strange thing is that even though it was mid-June, there was a lot of clothes out that seemed more appropriate for Fall or winter. I poked around hoping to find a few light shirts or sundresses but I only saw sweaters and turtleneck shirts. Not sure when summer clothes will be available but it seems like they are off a season or two.

Also picked up some cheap batteries and Fourth of July decorations! Sweet! The checkout guy was really weird. He couldn't take a joke. Instead of apologizing, he said he hasn't had much sleep because he had worked three doubles. I guess the holiday week has been busy? The store was being restocked but at the same time looked like a tornado had come through. Stuff everywhere. One of my Fourth of July lanterns was broken before we even opened it. Didn't know until we had it home and unpacked. Oh well. It was only a dollar.

The only thing we didn't find here was a dessert; they had some basic brownies, donuts and cookies, which all looked good but we were looking for something more interesting. Lots of little bakeries all around though so no real issue. All was reasonably priced, including paper products, soda, and local beer, and selections were good! Checkout was fast and easy.

We came to stock up our rental home a couple times. We are visiting for a week. We grabbed three carts and started shopping. It was 830 at night, the deli had closed but the manager was available. I wanted a bag of mussels. The signage was poor so we couldn't figure out what it said. The manager came and decided it said $70!!!! So we skipped the mussels that trip. Come to find out, they were actually $7 so we bought them the next day. Cheese has its own little case for the fancy stuff. I was surprised they did not have shredded Gouda for my quiche, so I found a brick. And where are the pretzel crisps?!!! Those are my favorite dipping chip for hummus. And Stacy's pita chips are only in the small bag in the chip aisle. WTH?! I didn't think they had a big bag, but I found the big bag near the deli the next day. Weird. Whipped cream is also hard to find. It's in its own mini fridge in the walkway between the milk and the other dairy. A customer in a scooter helped me find it. Wegman's brand foods tend to be cheaper than national brands. Their items have turned out to be pretty good. Lays wavy bbq chips are better than Wegmans though. The checkout line is fast and friendly. They opened up a register for us. They even helped us with the loyalty card, which saved me $3 on a $271 order. Geez. Food is expensive. Bathrooms are clean and decorative! Fancy soaps, lights and flowers. I've never seen a grocery store bathroom like it! Parking is extensive. A huge lot. Overall we are enjoying our groceries and we will be back tomorrow.
