TJ Maxx - Department Stores Near Me - Allen Park, Michigan

This store sits on the hill as people would call it. Sometimes it is a pain to get in and out of this area as there is only 2 ways in. Depending on the time it may be very busy and hard to find parking. The store is played out pretty much the same as other stores. The store is pretty messy and hard to find things at times. When we went it was probably one of the worst times to go. The line was mad long and only 3 people at the register. The line probably took 10 to 15 minutes which is really not that back but previously working retail I would say that is bad customer service. This is not the only TJ Max near me so I would not go here unless I need to. It is always nice to check this place out as there is sometimes deals that you cannot find anywhere else. And who does not like a deal. read more

Not really great, many items are ripped or stolen. Good prices if you can avoid the rush times/confused workers.

We just visited this store for the first time this past Saturday and I have to say it was nice. We went to shop for purses for my mother and we found a nice one along with a wallet that was very reasonably priced. The line to check out was long but it went super fast because they had almost all of the registers open. The cashier was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back here to shop the next time I am in the area. read more

If you've never been to a TJ Maxx, I feel sorry for you. Very rarely do I visit and not purchase something. They offer almost everything you could want or need for your wardrobe or home, like clothes for women, men and babies, shoes, kitchen utensils, bathroom accessories, tech gear and gourmet candy and food. One of my favorite things to search for at TJ Maxx are Yankee Candles. Sometimes they're blemished, but for a $15 savings over the YC store, I don't mind. They also have a great selection of women's shoes at low prices. (Sorry guys, TJ's doesn't carry men's shoes.) This location recently underwent some renovations, most specifically the way they display their goods. It really makes a difference when you go there looking for something in particular. I bumped them a star because their checkout process is always very slow. They usually have a lot of cashiers, but they never ring people up with any urgency. It's like they move in slow motion on purpose, causing you to shop further in the maze that is their suggestive-selling line to the register. read more

I love this TJ Maxx location. They always have a great selection, despite being a little messy. Tons of Kate Spade, Adidas, Nike, Calvin Klein, etc. They have real clearance deals here- not the racks of items marked down by only $1-$2. I always find great stuff in their home department, including a Kate Spade tablecloth, table runner, and matching placemats. Excellent shoe selection- you can find Frye boots, Nike, Kate Spade, Coach, Lucky Brand, etc. I will continue to make this my top choice TJ Maxx store. read more

They have a HUGE inventory of purses that range from cheap to ridiculous! Really, there's a $2,000 Celine bag hanging in there. I saw a ton of Michael Kors and Kate Spade, so if you are a fan head to this location. As I always do, I left the store with NOTHING I intended on purchasing but then thought "oh yeah, nope... don't actually need it! Put that back!" I left without doing any damage and will for sure be back because they had a great selection on clothing and accessories. Next time I'll visit the home decor area... I didn't have the funds nor the time for it this go round. read more

A smaller store than most TJ's but still with the great deals. I seem to always find a great bargain at this location. Be sure to check all the racks for a given department. Personally, I am blown away by some of the electronics that come through the store at such a great price. read more

Y'all know what it is. Not much to report. It's a place to get discounted designer items (shirts, jeans, undies, ties, jewelry, soaps, perfumes, furniture, bedsheets, children's stuff). I've seen TJ Maxxes that are smaller and bigger than this one... so it's kind of a goldilocks version, here. I pop in now and then when i need a new dress shirt for some job-related occasion. I've snagged a vase or a soap holder from here once or twice before. If you don't mind living four-years behind the times, this place will please with their modest discounts... read more

This is a wild and wooly Tj Maxx. I've never seen a TJ Maxx that had to put security tags on $20 blankets until I visited this one. It's a United Nations of stores, like a crazy bazaar atmosphere and I pity the people who have to work here. Seriously, they need bouncers to keep people civilized! read more

Store is always busy! Expect a line when you are ready to pay. The employees do a great job of moving and calling for help. They have a large variety of clothing and things for your home. They seem to have a better selection than other TJMaxx in the area. read more

The store itself is decent, but the staff are what prompted me to review this particular store. They are pretty rude as closing time nears, and there's been a couple times i was super intimidated after watching them interact with the people in front of me in line - to the point where i out my stuff back and left, so i didn't have to deal with them!
