My husband and I made a same day appointment on Sunday for a couples massage. We really enjoyed our massages and looking forward to going back again soon! Update: We've gone three times and enjoyed each visit! read more

The overall experience was horrible there card reader was down so she asked me for my card and started taking pictures of it. Gave her the benefit of the doubt but she tried to rob me of my time I paid for a hour and tried to get me to leave after 30 minutes. Super broken English did understand a word she was speaking to me then coughed in my face. Never coming back.... read more

I've been calling for about a month, but never got a call back. I decided to swing by during business hours and it was completely dark. Perhaps they are permanently closed?? read more

They did a amazing job on my back and neck! Easy scheduling process and the price was comparable to other companies I have used in the past.

This is literally the very first time, over many years and many different places in different cities that a "foot massage " means only that. One hour of my feet and legs to the knee massaged with lotion for one hour (actually a little less) for $75 with the tip have me less than overjoyed with my experience. I called ahead & was told I could be taken in when I arrived in 10 minutes. Then I was asked to wait for 10 more minutes, and then that turned into another half hour. Really, I should have left then, but my feet were really hurting. The tech was very nice, but spoke for some time to the other woman on duty. When they were done, the other woman made a phone call & talked very loudly. The massage was just ok. This is not what I want to spend $75 on. I'll keep looking for the perfect spot. read more

My wife and I went for a 2 hour couples massage. My wife's therapist was Cici and mine was Coco. Both were excellent, making sure pressure was good and we were both comfortable throughout our session. We both enjoyed our massages very much. We had not had massages for many months and TJ Massage reminded us that we should be getting them weekly. We will be asking for Cici and Coco again. No reason to go anywhere else. read more

It was great please come out please see them!!!! I came in as walk in and they got right on me so please support this small business!!!

I have been getting massages for years and all over the world and Nisha was awesome! I recommend her 100% and I going back today, I have found my favorite massage therapist! read more

I've been to this establishment 3 times now, but this most recent time was by far the best! CeCe did my massage and was amazing!! She took her time and really hit the spots that were super tense! I will definitely be back to see CeCe! read more

Excellent shiatsu massage today by Cici. She's phenomenal. Highly recommend! If you're in the Memphis area they accept walk ins.

I have been to TJ Massage twice . I'm conflicted because I had two different experiences. I had a different ladies each time . The first time I came it was an amazing experience from start to finish . I loved the technique used (I'm not experienced enough to know what it was ) and the mood was nice . I was in a room down the hall . I just knew I would be a frequent returning customer. This most recent time (today ) I feel like I was in a completely different place . This time I was in the first room to the left . The first thing I noticed that I don't remember from last time was the clock that ticked seemed loud over what was suppose to be the calming spa music . I could make the ticking it background noise so no big deal but being right by the front I was by the desk and door and I heard every time someone came in and also when phones rang . I wasn't happy about this . The technique used what not what I experienced the first time . It wasn't bad but I wouldn't want it again . If was more like pressure and rubbing than kneading . It was the last 15 minutes that was the most off putting . I turned over for the front massage to see that the door was cracked open . I wasn't necessarily mad because I knew no one could see in but It was unsettling. Maybe they were understaffed so she also had to listen for the front door ? Covid I get it . Probably explains why the room was a little colder than I would have liked . Once I get dressed and ready to pay my $60 for 60 minutes. I tipped $5 because honestly the message wasn't the best but I do understand tipping culture . Plus the card reader has a$2 fee which I understood. She looked at the receipt and said something along the lines of "I did a hard massage you don't want to tip more ? Make the total $72" I'm like ummmmm is the price more for a hard massage? She said something like "no I worked hard for you " and we stood there in awkward looks at each other for like 4 minutes before she just threw up her hands and handed me my receipt. Wtf was that ??? I'm so confused on how I had such an amazing experience the first time and then come back to see that experience varies by person doing the massage and that some of the comments about pushing for tips are true . Unfortunately I didn't get names but I do remember faces so if I go back I'll only go to the person I saw the first time . read more

Very nice polite staff. Excellent massage therapist. I always feel refreshed after visiting.

I called and scheduled a 90 minute massage ahead of time. When I got there, they told me I was getting a "4 hand" massage. I felt bad that I had booked a massage so late so I agreed to the 4 hand 60 minute massage for more than the cost of the 90 minute massage I came for. One of the masseuses put forth very little effort, she must have been texting at certain points because there was just a light grip on my foot or leg for 10 consecutive seconds and she would go back to massaging. She also used almost exclusively one hand the entire time. She disappeared for about 3 minutes to asisst another customer who came in. When I got off the massage table I realized the massage had only been about 50-53 minutes, not an hour. I paid double the price of a massage that wasn't as good as most two handed massages. the only reason I gave this 2 stars is because I've been going to them intermittently for massages and they've historically been pretty good. My previous massage there wasn't all that great, and after this most recent experience, I can't see myself going back read more

Small quaint place but had a really good experience. The service I received was exemplary and it really helped my back. Definitely gonna make this a regular thing.. read more

I feel so ashamed to write this review now after being a client of TJ Massage for the past 2-3 years. I have tried A LOT of places previously, and have not gone anywhere else after my first experience here. They are very client centered, and will accommodate to your specific needs and schedules. To this very day, Julia (the manager) still asks for my input prior to the session despite me being a regular client. They do not assume, and will customize their service to your needs each time. And that minor detail says a lot about the establishment. This review is long overdue, but this place definitely deserves it. With that being said, I highly recommend them. read more

Husband scheduled me a massage and facial for this place and I absolutely enjoyed every minute. The massage was very detailed. I didn't feel rushed AT ALL. The technician took her time and made sure I was relaxed. The facial was also phenomenal! I would definitely recommend and return! Customer service was great. read more

My wife and I have had several massages at TJ's. I can't say enough good things about their service. They're always courteous and professional. I highly recommend them. read more

So, I had sketchy vibes seeing all good reviews... OMG, the massage therapist is a GODSEND. I've been super sore from work and this lady worked out about 90% of my soreness in a one hour massage. I'm SHOOK. But seriously, go here. I called 30 minutes before I went to get my massage. read more

TJ Massage - Massage Near Me - Bartlett, Tennessee

Well kept secret in Bartlett! I yelped "best massages" in Memphis and this place came up. OMG, the best massage ever!!! You will not be disappointed with the service. Will make this a bi-weekly 9/21/19 Returned for a massage with Julia, still awesome! Due to vitamin deficiency my calf began to cramp severely. Julia did everything possible to make me comfortable. If you have body cramps you know they have a mind of their own. I booked a 2 hr session and an hour into my session the cramping began. Julia offered to hold me up as I tried to stand and work the cramp out. She placed the Chinese cupping cups on both my calves. She worked with me an additional 30 minutes and when I went to pay for my 2 hour session and the cupping she stated no you only got an hour massage. Very few places would not make you pay for reserving the extra time. I will be returning in two weeks! If you want awesome customer service and a great massage book your appointment!!! If you're looking for it to be aesthetically pleasing, pay double and book somewhere else!!! Thanks Julia!!!!!!!! read more

Found this place on a Yelp search. Great recommendation! Called for appt and was able to get in same day with about 45 min warning. Massage was exceptional - deep. 'Knees and elbows'... if you have knots, she will find them. Stretches, hot stones and hot towel.... if you pay Cash they cut you a little discount.... about $60 per hour. I'm travelling, but I would return/recommend to friend if in the area (I drove down from Millington). read more

Paid for a 90 min massage for me and my boyfriend. I don't like how they hassle you into leaving a tip which makes it super uncomfortable and awkward. My bf was in the bathroom while I was paying and they kept asking for a tip which my bf was going to leave once he came out of the bathroom. We tip every time so demanding a tip made us not want to go back like they were entitled to our money. We spent 180 and you are demanding more money which we were going to leave anyway just threw off the mood. read more

The best place and the sweetest workers. After a massage I feel INCREDIBLE. i love it there!!

Well I tried not to tell everyone about this place and keep it more of a secret. I only told my closest friends because it is getting harder and harder to get appointments. Best massage in Memphis hands down! I went to 5 different places and none of them compare. I feel so much better with my stress, knots, and aches. Since we are moving, I can publicly give this place the credit it deserves and wish you luck on getting a time slot. read more

This place is awesome!!! Very simple and plain and normally I prefer fancy place for a massage but TJ Massage made me feel like a new person and got rid of all my aches and pains. I've been here twice after my first visit. I give the masseuse a 10 of 10 for how good tabs was. They also give you a full hour, in my case two full hours, and consistent the whole time with my deep tissue request. Very friendly staff and great customer service. read more

One of the best massages I ever had, Ineeded a deep tissue and was incredible. Cindy was small in stature but strong.

My cousin, who works nearby, gave me a gift certificate for a free foot massage. Being rather impressed with the foot massage, I scheduled an appointment for a neck back and shoulders massage to see if it would help with my chronic tension and headaches. Oh my goodness! You have got to try this place. Julia is absolutely wonderful. She can provide many types of massage, depending on your preferences. She asks if you would prefer light medium or firm touch. I like it rather firm, like a deep tissue sports massage, but not so much so that you are bruised the next day. This was absolutely heavenly. She also gave me a taste of the hot stone massage as well. I will definitely be doing it again and soon. read more

If you are looking for excellent service with incredible massages for a great price, this is the place to go! I have been going for two years and have no complaints. If you have any questions, Julia is great at answering them. They are accommodating with your schedule and getting you in at a convenient time. Throughout the years I've used massage for relaxation as well as chronic back pain, there's no need to try others, this is my favorite place! read more

This place is an absolute PHENOMENAL place. I had been driving for 13 hours the previous day taking my daughter back to college. Called to make an appointment for the next day, when they opened for a 90-minute massage. Was greeted by a very friendly host and she took me to my room. My therapist walked on my back and got all the kinks out. Then was very thorough on my neck and shoulders with her hands. Every knot that was ever there was gone. Phenomenal massage and the best I've had in a long while and I get massages back home in TX quite frequently. The previous rave reviews were correct and they live up to their reputation. I wish I lived here in Memphis so that I could be a regular customer. If I ever have to come through Memphis again and stay over, I will make another appointment with them. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! read more

The guy there was very rough with me. Even after the massage he was rude and they demanded a tip!!! I asked was their pay included in the money I just paid to them an she said "no we work for 1hr"which is fine but if I just spent over $100 dollars at you establishment for you too feel entitled to my dollar and didn't do everything they said the massage would include. Then after we told the woman next time we'll bring a tip(even though we already planned to never step foot near the place again) the rough moody man shoo'd me and my boyfriend off! I would give this place no stars if I could! Don't waste your money here, because we got somewhat relaxed just to tense up after. read more

Alright when you see really good reviews for a massage place you can be pretty skeptical about what the place is doing right. I'm about to say a few words in really big font..GO THERE FOLKs I don't know how else to say you need to go. Forget Massage Envy or a Goulds...try something local and your body will tell you thank you in multiple ways..I don't give 5 stars a lot so take heed to my words and pay the $60 for a damn good massage!!! read more

Came here today for my first massage, had a great experience! Chose the 60 minute full body massage, and definitely recommend it. I hope to go back soon. Was able to schedule it same day (on a Saturday!), which was a great surprise as I checked a chain which was fully booked and more expensive. I have had terrible pain in my neck for 3 weeks, and this massage has helped tremendously. read more

Being a retail manager, I was trying to find a spot to get a good massage bc I need it!!!!! All I will say is I enjoyed every bit of my 60 mins plus 5 on my feet!!!! I forgot her name but she was so sweet to call to confirm bc I was a few minutes late (due to work). I had to tip her and yes, I will be back!!!! read more

I wasn't really sure what to expect other than the other Yelp reviews were all very positive. I have a sciatic nerve issue and the masseuse was able to work that out very well for me. I left feeling quite refreshed. You can get anything from deep tissue massage to a relaxing massage with hot stones along with everything in the middle. If you've never had a massage before I highly recommend you go for a relaxing massage first for the experience. I went with a hard massage because I knew that's what my muscles and bones needed - and I got exactly what I asked for- It was perfect. read more

I selfishly didn't want to write a review for TJ Massage because I love being able to get last minute appointments. I absolutely love this place. It's the best kept secret in town. I try to go once per week. I would recommend them to anyone! read more

This place is amazing! I have honestly had massages all over the earth and this was one of the best I've ever had. I have sciatic pain on my left side and I feel so much better after leaving. Love this place! Every service was excellent and I loved the massage and the bed because it was comfy with empty of room. Great service and lovely people. Definitely returning! read more

Such sweet gals!! Massage was great, too. Not as much privacy as one would expect with just a curtain for a door, but as soon as the massage starts, the curtain-for-a-door is the last thing on your mind. Great job...I will definitely be back! read more

Just came from getting a full body massage with a friend. I have to say even though the reviews were great, I thought I'd be the one to run into an issue. I am extremely happy to say that this business lived up to its reviews. The ladies were very nice and did everything to make us feel comfortable. The massage was great and we will definitely be back again! read more
