The advisor was professional and I felt confident they were honest about the needed repairs. Good job!! I recommend Tri Star.

I called a few times to notify owner; he said, just because they serviced car does not mean current issue related to their work; bring the car back for no charge diagnostic. The intermittent cooling or heating continued for 3 weeks till I could adjust my work schedule to take car in again. Upon return, owner had me drive service tech around building several times in which the system was not blowing then came on automatically. Technician told owner its her blower motor; owner called someone to inquire on part; then told me it will be $1100 dollars to replace the blower motor. No physical inspection was done in regards to taking off the cover under the glove compartment to check blower motor or wires, etc. As part of the B service the cabin filter was to be changed inside the glove compartment; so work was done in area top and, its possible under glove compartment was opened during B service also. I did request going back with car to see what was going on when they open area for inspection and owner got upset and started discussing trusting their work. I asked for my key, back and left. Upon taking car somewhere else; they pulled the cover off, under the glove compartment in front of me and they were able to show me the blower motor wire was loose; they reconnect and secured. Did not have to pay $1100 for something that was wrongly stated as the problem from driving in car with me and determined as diagnostic test to check A/C heat system...smh. My A/C heat system is blowing strong and constant now, as it did, prior to me bringing my car to them for service. Unfortunately this was my 2nd time visiting this auto repair shop. Thankful, I did not listen to him when I knew that was not the problem because blower motor was replaced Feb. 2021. Proper diagnostic with hands on, visualization and applicable tool testing is always needed first!

I asked them to also check out my car to see if any additional items needed attention, while they completed the tune up. They could have easily "created" reasons to try and up-sale unneeded things, because my car has 318K miles on it- but they didn't. They were very straightforward and honest. Trey was my service tech and he explained what would be inspected during the tune up, contacted me when it was ready for pick up. About a week after I picked my car up, the company reached out again to make sure everything was working correctly. This company's communication is spot on! Other places I have used promise to call, but never do. This place is great! I originally brought my car in a few years ago because I was leaking radiator fluid and my previous shop could not locate the cause of the leak. I really wanted to give a positive review because the brake pad replacement itself went smoothly,…read morebut unfortunately the experience took a turn afterward. When I went outside after the service, I immediately noticed a lug nut was missing. After looking closer, I saw that the wheel stud itself was broken - which I know for a fact was not damaged prior to the repair. When I contacted the mechanic about it, he did not deny breaking it and asked me to go purchase a new stud and lug nut, which I did right away. He said he would return to install it, but after that point communication became very unreliable. I texted several times with no response. When he finally replied "yes" to confirm he would complete the repair, he still never followed through. Since then, my messages have gone unanswered. On top of that, he told me the broken stud was "no big deal" and that he knows someone who drives around with multiple broken studs - which was extremely concerning to hear from someone responsible for vehicle safety. I don't feel comfortable driving with a broken wheel stud, and the situation has been left unresolved. I wish this could have been a positive review, but based on the lack of accountability, poor communication, and safety concerns, it cannot be.
