We called a different company to come assess the issue and they told us we needed to replace the entire door and that it would be upwards of $5,000. We then called this company for a second assessment and they sent someone out the next day. Ryan was super professional and came out to assess the problem. He ended up charging us only to replace the bolts and went above and beyond to tighten up/clean up everything like the springs while only charging us less than $200!! He also said there was no need to replace the whole door and reassured us that it was totally safe. He was fast and thorough and just a very nice guy. Highly recommend using this company for your garage door needs!!

My door will go halfway up and then it STOPS!! I unhooked the chain and could use JUST 2 fingers to lift the door. So I hook the chain back on and it stops halfway up again. Now I have to help the door up. I called and spoke to CHUCK and told him what was going on. I asked for a new Motor to be sent out and all CHUCK could do was talk about money. He wanted a fee for having someone come out when the part HAS a WARRANTY!! he's say no other part is covered and I would have to buy a NEW motor. I told him I didn't need anything but a new Motor. CHUCK wouldn't listen to me. So new OVERHEAD DOORS won't stand behind the product they built unless you buy something from them. So I'll go to Home Depot and buy a new door opener and when people ask me about OVERHEAD DOORS, I'll tell them how crappy they are. I'm going to GOOGLE NEXT, then Yelp, then Facebook, ECT...You guy's are a CRAP COMPANY to do Business with.

I have been using Independent Overhead Doors for all my investment properties for the last 25…read moreyears. Last week I called on a Monday and scheduled an appointment on Thursday. I had to take a day off work to meet someone to fix my garage door. Shane met me and after looking at the garage door opener, took out his phone and started to show me openers at Home Depot. He told me I could go buy an opener and then call in again and schedule someone to install it. I was a little confused since previously, the person that was sent out had equipment and was ready to sell me an opener and install it. After a bit more discussion, I asked if IOD had stopped selling openers. Shane then got mad and told me he had 5 other jobs that day and would have to come back later. So I asked again if he could do the job or not, and he agreed to do it but was furious. The good thing about an angry installer is he got it done in 30 minutes. When I checked the opener, there were no lights when it closed. Shane told me openers don't come with bulbs. I'd have to put them in myself. So now, this 70 year old woman has to climb a ladder and install the bulbs. Exactly what I was trying to avoid. I called Doug after the installer left and told him I was very disappointed and won't be using his company again. Doug said, "Then why are you calling me?" This company is closed and only going through the motions of pretending to offer any services to customers anymore. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and call someone else.
