Very pleasant experience with these folks. I am in the market for an automatic gate at my house. It seems I am one of the last remaining neighbors on my block that does not have a gate for my driveway. I took a look on Yelp and found that these folks are close and convenient so I called for an estimate. So far in my estimate gathering I have found that their pricing seems pretty fair. They were not the cheapest, but they were far from the most expensive. That impresses me even more because the metal they use on the frames and the motors they quoted me on seem to be of some of the top quality that are available currently. I also like that they repair as well as install, as I want to utilize a company that does both. My time with the estimator was very pleasant. He was professional and informative and he made sure I was aware of things I, or anyone shopping for gates, needs to be aware of before purchasing. I called this company, appointment was scheduled quickly. Technician will be there at 9 am Monday morning. At 9:30 I called to find out status, no answer. At 9:40, I got a call back and said the technician will be there in 20 minutes or so. I asked why so late? Appointment was at 9? Response was that the appointment was a window from 9-10, which was never communicated upfront. I will not deal with this company. If they can't schedule and carry out the initial service call, I don't want to deal with actual diagnosis and repair or installation. read more

Called for a follow up on a previous repair and had to call multiple times for a reply. Was told they would show up, but they never did. Followed up again and all of a sudden, they don't work on my style of gate any longer. Shady and would not recommend to anyone. read more

Untrustworthy. !!!!!!!Quoted $900 to repair sagging gate. Said it would take 2 men 3 hrs for job. They were supposed to be there "first thing in morning. Didn't show up until 1:20pm and completed job in slightly more than 1 hour. Rip off. All they did was replace 2 bolts. I asked for a receipt and warranty twice. Gave them my text and email. Hired This company to work on my swing gate and they were all very professional. I'm extremely satisfied with the work. Angel and Erica are a great team and lovely to work with. I sought out several estimates and chose to hire this company to work on my automatic swing gate that had been inoperable for several years. Angels estimate for my job was extremely reasonable. Accepting the invoice and scheduling the job was quick and painless When I called to ask questions Erica was the one I spoke to every time. She answered all my questions about the estimate and if she didn't know the answer she would find out and called me right back with the information. She was always kind, understanding and professional each time and I called quite a few times with questions. If she couldn't get my call the first time she would call right back, even without me leaving a message. Day 1 - Angel arrived at my property on time and after going over the job with me his crew got right to work. I appreciate that Angel wore a face mask at all times when discussing the job with me. He briefed his crew and left them to work. He'd be be back to go over their work. The crew knew exactly what they were doing and didn't waste any time getting started with pulling off the doors and removing the inoperable arms and old system. Everyone was very respectful of me and my property while they were here on the job. My swing Gate was working again in two days, as promised. All tools and materials were picked up and disposed of plus anything that was disturbed/moved in my yard was put back as they found it. At the end of day 2 (mid day) Angel came back to go over the job with me and show me the new system and how it works (again he wore a mask as did I). He answered all my questions, collected payment and then was on his way. Couldn't have been easier truly wish I had done this years ago. Happy to have my gate working again. read more

No showed twice. 1st time no show. They did not call me. I called, emailed several times. They finally called me back and did apologize then they rescheduled with me and they stood me up again with no phone call. So I called again and the female assistant said they're not there with a question. I said no and she said let me Call them and I will call you right back. I'm still waiting for that call. I called this past Friday and spoke with the scheduler directly and was put on the schedule for Saturday at 10am after briefly describing our fence gate problem. She took down my information and repeated my phone number back to me. Saturday came and went with no calls and no service technician. I called Monday (before 9am) and the woman said she did not know why the technician would not have called and that she had put us on the Saturday schedule (she also said that she would put us on the schedule for 1pm today and would call me back quickly to confirm technician arrival). After an hour of not hearing back, I decided to call but it would not even dial the number now. It seemed like my calls were now being blocked. I checked by dialing out to 5 different numbers with no issues. I also had my wife and friend try dialing their number (and both reached the first time). I can only guess that they decided they did not want my business over their other business and decided to cut off contact rather than say that. Disgusting experience and professionalism. read more

Our driveway gate stopped functioning. When activated the motor would start briefly and stop. The gate would not move. Disconnecting the gate and drive motor did not work and the gate would not budge. Our car was trapped! We called A-Automatic Gate & Repair on Wednesday and were told they would come on Friday at 1:00 pm. Because of Dallas recent bout with ice, this was not a big problem - we didn't want to drive anyway. At the appointed time, Angel -the gate technician and his helper appeared. They quickly determined the problem was a stuck limiter switch, which they repaired. They also recommended replacing the gate wheels, which were very noisy. We didn't know that they have grease fittings and require grease every couple of years. So, they had not been lubricated during the 10+ years we've had the gate. We replaced them and the gate now functions much more quietly and easily. In addition, Angel fixed a minor problem with our gate remote antenna and replaced the remote control battery. A professional and comprehensive tune-up done on time and at a reasonable cost. Bravo! Recommend this outfit highly. read more

Don't waste your time. Called for an estimate on a repair and a new electric gate opener. Set an appointment and they no showed. No call, no follow up. I called the next day and the woman that answered apologized and said they were "running late" but would get back to me "today" to try and schedule another appointment. Crickets... read more

Several weeks after Angel made repairs to me gate, and I am pleased with the service. The old gate is working great and is quite as a mouse. They were timely in their response to my call as well as their arrival. They had GREAT attitude (which is a must for me). The two technicians quickly evaluated the problem, discovered that I had a main breaker fault, fixed that and then resolved my gate motor and controller problem. Angel and his team did a great job installing my new driveway swing gate. They were on time, completed the work as promised and and cleaned up their mess before they left. But that's not the end of the story, and not the only reason I gave them a 5-star review. In the process of digging for the main support post they unknowingly, accidentally cut the main electrical line to my sprinkler system. A couple of days after they finished the job I tried to run the sprinklers. My controller said the sprinklers were running but no water was coming out. At about the same time Angel was installing the gate another company was repairing and widening my front walkway. This involved moving one of the sprinkler heads and I figured they just forgot to turn the main water valve back on after they completed that portion of the job. Unfortunately that turned out not to be the case. I checked the valve. It was in the "on" position. At this point I had no idea why the system wasn't working so I called a sprinkler repair company. The repairman's first thought was that the walkway crew had accidentally cut the system electrical wires. He used a special tool to locate the wiring and find where it was cut. He eventually discovered that the line had been cut where the gate was installed not where the walkway had been widened. He completed the repair in about 3 hours and handed me a bill for $256.00. I discussed this with Erica, Angel's office manager and there was no argument about who should be responsible for the sprinkler repair bill. Cutting the wire was an unfortunate mistake. The willingness to accept responsibility earned A-Automatic Gate & Repair my 5-star rating. Thank you Angel and Erica. You have earned my highest recommendation. read more

Angel did the repair work and Erica handled the communications and scheduling. Outstanding service from both. Angel replaced an electric gate motor that had not been working for a long time--and when it did run, it was too small for the job. Noisy, shaking fence, slow opening and closing. We received a very reasonable quote for a new, more powerful motor, and Angel expertly installed it for us. He was super polite and knowledgeable, and obviously skilled. Erica was also very courteous and easy to work with. Our gate operates perfectly now and it opens and closes so smoothly, so quietly. Angel also took the time to inspect our garage door rollers and other parts, and worked on our wireless entry pad. No charge. Most impressive of all, is that he came back a week or so later, while I was at work, and replaced one of the gate rollers/wheels that he noted on the first visit as something to keep an eye on. When the wheel started to impair the gate from properly opening not long afterward, I called Erica, and she arranged for Angel to come back out. He put on a new wheel, and never charged me for the extra service. I texted a message of thanks and expressed that I felt I owed them something for the new wheel, but Erica just texted back, "our pleasure, thank you very much." The pleasure was ours, as well.
