From first contact with Meadows Garage Doors (fast, efficient, responsive) to arrival of Jovanni Angon: our emergency burned out garage door motor (smoking) was handled with mind-blowing beauty. 10 stars! :) Seriously. We knew we were coming up on a replacement of the entire door as well (bent aluminum panels). The options that Jovanni walked us through were very satisfying for approaches to resolve the decaying old setup. We went through options and decisions; got great advice and tips; Jovanni totally knows his trade: doors, motors, framework, electronics of the existing home wiring; and, found the original manufacturer dates of our old bits of "Frankenstein door". :) Monday (today) was work day: amazing in total. Work, then he discovered the original wiring we could use so the old floppy external wiring could be cleaned up. Set up and walk through the unit. WOW! I am actually excited for my new garage opener. The new doors in our preferred black color will arrive on about 3 or 4 weeks. But this new opener ... AWESOMENESS! So quiet i can barely hear it. Stupendous experience all in all. We've used Meadows in the past and were satisfied customers, so they were our first call when our kids accidentally dented a neighbor's garage door panel. That goodwill evaporated quickly. Their technician told us the damaged panel couldn't be sourced and that a full door replacement was the only option. Curious, I spent five minutes on the phone with the original manufacturer and learned that an identical replacement panel is readily available -- just sold under a rebranded name. Not only was Meadows' full-door quote more then four times the cost of simply replacing the damaged panel with the modern equivalent, but the door they proposed was actually inferior to the existing one, with a noticeably worse insulation rating. Their full door quote was nearly double that of fully replacing the existing door with the modern rebranded product. That level of either incompetence or dishonesty is hard to overlook -- but what troubles me most is wondering whether the garage door they replaced on our own home years ago actually needed replacing at all. I'd encourage anyone to do even a little homework before accepting their diagnosis. There are plenty of other garage door companies in the area; I'd start there.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ Responding to Jason's comment, I spoke directly with the original manufacturer. I was told the replacement panel is still available under a rebranded name and is visually identical to the existing door with the only change being an interior hinge. My door was starting to wobble and make noise. Additionally, I would periodically see my keypad cover was up - and my neighbor's keypad would be up on the same day - so I was convinced someone was periodically trying to figure out the code for my garage. I called Meadows to check the door and offer some solutions, and I got much more than I expected. Jovanni was the nicest man ever, so personable, and you can just tell he is truly honest. He also loves his job, even in the heat and humidity. We didn't replaced the door itself, but he overhauled a lot of worn door parts, replaced the old garage door opener with a new one with a camera, and also installed a remote keypad with a camera. All controllable online. The job he did was very detailed and professional, and he left the garage near the door much cleaner than when he got there. I had two garage door openers fail within weeks of each other which was a major inconvenience since I exit and enter my house primarily through these garage doors. Meadows had a real person connected with the business vs an answering service used by the others I called. They were able to schedule an appointment for me the next day. The next day they came out on time and quickly pointed out a number of issues with some of the major components of the whole system. The openers need replacing which I had expected since they were the original ones and 15 years old. They also determined that one of the units had a bad circuit board, multiple rollers on the doors with bad bearings, and that incorrect door springs had been installed by the last company I had service these items. They scheduled an appointment to install new openers and replace the faulty door equipment two business days later. They arrived on time and gave me a heads up call when they were on their way also!. They sent a crew of 4 people who were thorough and professional. When they were done they programmed the remote FOBs for me and also helped me program the built in door transmitters in my cars as well. They also did a great job of cleaning up not only their mess but also swept out my whole garage as well. I can't say enough good things about Tate and Cutter who were my primary contacts and in location working. I will call no one else in the future to service my garage door opening system! I called Meadows around 2pm about an appointment to repair our garage door opener that was not opening and closing properly. Rafael came out at 4pm and diagnosed the problem as requiring a new spring and rollers. By 5:30, the door was fixed and now opens and closes better and quieter than ever. I am so pleased I called Meadows Garage Doors for my door issues. They quickly set up an appointment for me for 8 to 10 am Monday. Cutter Stephens, called me at 7:45 Monday and was at my house at 8am. Such a friendly, professional, friendly person who quickly solved the problem plus tuned and replaced a hinge for a very reasonable price. They changed the order of my panels so that the window panel is now the top panel, general maintenance, replaced the ball bearings, tightened the spring, and programmed all our cars or remotes. We had to have our garage redone after it was replaced with this company. The first door they placed was trash. It was scratched up all over and didn't even fit our garage. There were gaps everywhere. Also, the hardware that was supposed to go on the inside, was placed on the outside. It was horrible. I'd like to add also that the two gentlemen who worked on first door and our second door all used our RECYCLING bin for their dirty and nasty trash. It also had trash from the garage doors put in it. The trash had Panda food boxes and sauces all in it. Dr. Pepper cans, etc. Not sure how your trash is the customer's responsibility, but. Anyway. I'd probably go elsewhere. Very impressed with the company that is '2nd' generation birthed from an uncle's company in Florida. Unusual customer service approach and very knowledgable. They were able to get the garage door working so my wife's car wasn't left outside all weekend. (score! or I would have been in the dog house). Simply the best. Very fair, and reliable. I had a problem with my garage and they were able to steer me in the correct direction.

My garage door was malfunctioning. Meadows was able to come out same day. Come to find out all they did was reset the GDO and all was fine. In the meantime they noticed one of the brackets between the panels at one of the rollers was very loose. The repairman attempted to fix this too although it was not what caused the problem with my door. The bracket had wallowed out the holes the screws were in and there was no way to reaffix the bracket securely. He tried a couple of different solutions to keep me from having to buy a new door or panel. In the end I was going to have to order a whole new bottom panel. Given that the door was not a good quality door although my home is very high caliber builder (Toll Brothers) the spring was not the normal heavy duty one on most garage doors. There was a good chance my spring may not last much longer even if I did replace the panel. Just replacing that one panel and moving to the heavy duty spring was going to cost $1500 and a whole new door was just a little more so I opted for the whole new door with the heavy duty spring. They were able to install my door the next day. All went well and everything works great! I highly recommend Meadows Garage Doors out of Roanoke. They were very customer service oriented and responsive. They explained everything and didn't charge me for the service call. I will definitely use them again. read more
