Cody went above and beyond when I called late afternoon on 9/17/26 because my garage door openers were not working. He drove all the way from Corinth to Coppell in rush hour traffic. Upon his arrival we realized it wasn't even a garage door issue, rather a tripped breaker. While he was on property he assisted me with my swimming pool and repaired the gate/door which wasn't closing properly! Reasonable pricing as well. I was surprised it didn't cost twice as much given the timing and circumstances. I will definitely call him again with my garage door needs. Excellent service. read more

Replaced a broken spring. Tech was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. Will use again.

Reached out to First Responder Garage Door on Saturday morning. By Saturday afternoon, Cody, had reached back out to me and scheduled an appointment to come out on Sunday afternoon to do the work. He changed all the rollers, greased the garage door opener drive chain, then turned his attention to repairing multiple issues that were caused by the people who originally installed the door 6 1/2 years ago. Any issues I have with the door going forward will be handled by First Responder! Top it all off, they threw in a 10% discount for me being a veteran! read more

Cody with First Responder Garage Doors (Southlake) is one of the best servicemen (all trades) that we have had. We will never ask for another bid from another company. He took a lot of time to explain everything about our 2-yr old solid wood doors. Very reasonable cost and very honest. read more

Garage door replaced both doors, so far so good. Smooth experience delivered on what they said they would do

Highly recommend working with Cody and the First Responders team. I needed some urgent repairs to my garage door openers; but was stalling because all the quotes I'd received from other businesses seemed inflated. Cody gave me reasonable quotes, suggested a couple of things that should be taken care of in the future, and didn't push. The work they did was professional and high quality. Very happy with them; would suggest to all my friends. read more

Called the company this morning about a broken spring on a garage door that would not close. Cody was at the property within an hour, did a great job, didn't try to upsell any service and was as thorough as could be. Highly recommend this company. read more

Our garage door spring snapped around 10 in the night, leaving both cars stuck inside and us stressed about plans early the next morning. First Responder Garage Doors picked up right away and offered to come out that night for an emergency fee of $89, which felt very reasonable given the urgency, even if it wasn't the cheapest option around. They arrived quickly, explained everything clearly, and did a thorough, professional repair so we could use our garage again without any worries. Overall, excellent service and responsiveness read more

These guys were able to fit me in the same day. I have an older door and opener and they were able to fix it up quick and even fix the light that hasn't worked in about seven years. I would definitely recommend them. read more

Fantastic experience. My garage door would not close so I pulled release and then could not get door back up. I asked on Next Door for recommendations and Cody Davis at First Responders Garage Door was recommended. I called and very quickly Cody called my back and walked me thru my issue. He was able to help me fix the problem over the phone. Unbelievable how kind and competent he was. would accept payment for the consultation. Such a wonderful experience. I would recommend him to everyone with garage door issues. read more

Showed up quickly when I needed them in hurry. Gave honest and helpful info. Great price and great service!!

First Responder did a great job. The part I needed for my garage door has a lifetime warranty, so the tech called the manufacturer himself and ordered the part at no cost. He came back when the part was delivered and installed it. No hassle and a very fair price. read more

We contacted First Responder for a garage keypad on Sunday and they scheduled us for Monday afternoon. Thankfully a morning cancellation happened and they were here with positive attitudes and a ton of training and tips on the garage and hope. Cody and Johnathan were very knowledgeable and ensured everything worked from the door to the opener to the vehicles . We are so thankful and will be posting the positive experience in our subdivision chat. Thank you for the quick amazing service. Highly recommend for your garage needs. read more

I am super satisfied with the service I received today. They installed my garage door opener and also walked me through the self maintenance needed to keep my door in shape. We were wowed by the service Cody gave us. We had a part that broke on our motor and he knew what was wrong in less than a minute. Instead of trying to upsell us or tell us we had to replace everything, he gave the options of repair or replacement. Since we were moving we opted for repair. He told us everything he was doing, he was very friendly, and worked quickly. And then... Cody did a ton of things extra he absolutely did not have to do: he reset both our garage door openers; he oiled all the bearings; he gave us a veteran's discount; he set the door code; and he even set our car's remote opener (we didn't even know that the car had one). He gave us advice and showed us things that we had never knew before about garage door openers. I would recommend First Responder to anyone. That was one of the best experiences with a repair professional we ever encountered. Thanks Cody! read more

I'm a person that generally likes to do repairs myself. But for our garage door spring, we called around to see if we could find a company that could replace broken springs at a reasonable price to save us some time. After reading tons of positive reviews about First Responder Garage Doors we gave them a call. Unlike some other companies we called, we spoke directly to a garage door repair technician (Cody) who gave us an accurate (exact in our case) price quote that was significantly cheaper than the ballpark range of other companies. One company was even unwilling to give us a ballpark range, but this company had no problem providing one on the phone! We spoke with Cody and booked a repair appointment just a few days out. Cody came exactly on time and repaired our door quickly. We have a 4 spring garage door with one broken spring. He replaced all 4 at a very reasonable price. He even went to get the exact right springs from a warehouse rather than just using whatever was on his truck. Before he left, he noticed a broken roller and a broken hinge and replaced those too, all for the original quoted price. My garage door has never opened and closed this quietly. Do not hesitate to call this company. There are so many around but you can stop looking and comparing now. This is the one you want. Ask for Cody. Fair price, quick yet thorough repair, pleasant to work with. Will use for all future garage needs. read more

Just wow! I requested a consultation yesterday afternoon and today my garage door is working again. I got tired of waiting on another company that I had used before to get back with me about a part I was needing. I sent out a request on Yelp late afternoon and Cody was able to come out after I got off work. He performed all the routine checks to rule out the common issues. He gave me every option for repairs and replacements and did not pressure me to go either way. I admit I was nervous when he said he would get back with me this morning regarding the part I was needing. Here we go again. But nope, true to his word, he did and came at the appointed time today. I appreciate Cody taking the time to explain care and maintenance to me regarding my garage door opener system. The price was comparable to what I received from the other company, but First Responder's customer service far exceeds theirs and my expectations. The owner is a veteran and offers a discount to fellow veterans and first responders. Highly recommend!! read more

I am a "non-paying" customer because Charles diagnosed my problem via the phone consultation and told me how to fix my problem to save me some money. Wow! WHO DOES THAT????? Only the people with the highest integrity and pride in their work. Charles even followed up with me 2 days later, at 7pm in the evening, to see if I might need some tips to get it fixed. Nope...he was dead on with his diagnosis and I fixed the issue in 20mins. Thank you Charles! You've saved me time and money. You have a customer for life! Your non-transactional approach to business, ie, building relationships instead of invoices, puts you WAY above the crowd and this little guy here appreciates you and the values you stand for. Cody answered after the hours posted in their Yelp ad and provided me a rough order quote for the replacement of both springs (one was broken, but why tempt fate and cheap out there). He arrived 20 minutes later and got to work. He identified a few issues and said they'd be good, but not a need to repair list. He explained the rational and we did a few of the items. All throughout the was courteous and more importantly got the garage door back in order in a very short amount of time. read more

First Responders should be your first and only choice. I called a well-known garage door company to fix my door that came off track. They fixed it for $300 and said I shouldn't use the garage door because it was damaged and needed to be replaced for $3,000. I called First Responders and Cody came out. He looked at the door and asked why I was looking to replace it since it wasn't damaged. He replaced a few rollers and hinges and gave a tune up. He also asked if I was a veteran and gave me the vet discount. They saved me over $2,800. I will absolutely recommend them to everyone. Call First Responder! read more
