Every single member of the crew has gone so insanely out of their way for us it's unreal. We were stranded in Waterloo 300 miles away and they could not have been any more accommodating and sympathetic to our situation. They truly treated us like family to fix an issue that wasn't their own doing and it's made dealing with such an awful situation at least moderately bearable. I was on a road trip when my car stalled. After getting it towed to Tires Plus (5 minutes before close) the employees eagerly helped diagnose and fix the issue. They had me back on the road in an hour. Steve was very friendly and I didn't feel like he was trying to sell me unnecessary services. He told me that I was safe to continue my drive and that put my mind at ease. Very thankful for the friendliness and hospitality of the employees. Great experience! read more

My cars alternator has been off and on failing ever since I paid nearly a thousand dollars to get it fixed less than a year ago! They told me it was a quick fix then they called me and let me know it would be a couple days and that the price went up over two hundred dollars because they ordered the wrong part. They also some how managed to break my auto lock and unlock??? I'm now getting my alternator replaced at a different tires plus, wish me luck. I have a feeling their life time warranty for alternators is there to trick people into thinking it's anything that will work. Wait a day and try and get into any other shop in the area! read more

Very disappointed. My husband took his work car in not long ago and purchased 4 new tires from Tires Plus. He had them check alignment and do the work if necessary since he drives almost 2 hours a day (all highway) to work. A few thousand miles later the front tires are junk, I mean junk- clearly due to alignment being off (you can tell by how they are worn) He called Saturday and made an appointment for today and explained the situation- we gave them the benefit of the doubt maybe someone forgot to do everything they were supposed to. They took a look at the car and said "a lot can happen such as hitting potholes. You can pay for a new alignment and purchase new tires but there is nothing more we can do" NOPE. You're alignment doesn't get that far off in a few thousand miles..no accident, no potholes, no issues or changes on our end. Forget it, couldn't trust them the first time, we didn't have them do it this time. Won't ever go back. read more

I referenced several other mechanics in the area to confirm the following statement. NEVER have your rotors machined - it reduces their integrity and safety. In a combined opinion, Tires Plus is incompetent and unsafe recommending that rotors be machined. Would give -5 stars if possible.l read more

Came in at my scheduled appt at 3pm. They told me they were a little behind and it wouldn't be done until 5 pm. We sat here the entire time waiting and waiting and finally 3 hours later my car was finished. All I needed and wanted was 4 new tires. Last place I went took the gentleman 30 minutes all in and out balanced and everything. I just know I won't be coming here again. read more

I went in today to get my tires aligned and an oil change. I went in at my scheduled appointment time and then was told that it would be about an hour and a half. I get a call after and hour saying my coolant level was low. Then asked if I wanted them to run the diagnostic done on it that cost an additional 25 bucks. I returned after almost 2 hours and my car only had an oil change Zack the manager came out and told me he was sorry for my wait but that my alignment was 3 degrees out of alignment and that my car needed a special part for an alignment. Mind you I have had numerous alignments done before never needing a special part. They install the part then tell me they needed a different part and then they finally got it fixed an extra 2 hours what they quoted me on the time and then ran the diagnostic and I really didn't get a huge chance to look at it and my alignment is actually worse and my car is pulling towards my drivers side and looks like I might have to take it somewhere else I showed a few friend who are certified master mechanics and was literally told they are shady as hell and to go somewhere else and get it fixed. Also on my way home my tire pressure light came on. So overall extremely unsatisfied and screwed out of 230 dollars for a half ass alignment. Will be going back tomorrow and complain and have them wither fix it or go to the dealership Monday and get a quote for them to fix it correctly cause they obviously are trying to screw me and everyone else out of there money mind you I was asked about half a dozen times to get a credit card from them. HAHAHAHA never in my life will I willingly go there. I just want my money back and my car back to what it was cause they obviously have no clue what the hell they are doing!! read more

scheduled appointment for 10:30 am for a brake line replacement - I told them exactly where it was leaking - and hour and fifteen minutes later I asked about the repair. The tech told me they were checking on it - I reminded him again where the leak was. He then came back a few minutes later with an estimate on the high side. It took another two hours to fix it. Poor service - not to mention the store is rough around the edges. Would not recommend them read more

This store does not honor the 59 minute tire change that is advertised even though I made an appointment a day ahead of time. I bought a set of 4 tires from for my car that has over 270,000 miles on it. I bought the absolute cheapest tires they had and the tires themselves are actually better than I had expected. The service at this store is downright lousy. I asked them not to do any inspections, just install the tires and send me on my way. However, they did their inspections anyway and tried to high pressure me into buying lots of parts that any car with high mileage is going to need. After early 2 hours of sitting in their waiting room I was finally free to leave. read more

Worst oil change experience ever. I usually take my car to Tuffy's, but my dad scheduled my appointment last minute when I came to town. When I got to Waterloo, I wasn't completely sure what store my oil change was scheduled at so I called them up before driving clear over there. He answered and immediately put me on hold, which is fine, but then after 5 minutes he picked up and asked if I could please hold... again... I was on hold for 11 minutes total before I hung up. When I got to the store, he (I want to say his name is Cody, but I could be wrong) was not very friendly at all. He then asked if he could have my car for 2.5 hours! What?! This is a basic oil change & tire rotation that was scheduled!! I just got to town and had other plans so I asked if he could have it done in 1.5 hours to which he agreed. 1.5 hours later I called to see if my car was done because I hadn't received ANY word. He told me they were just finishing up. I went there, paid for it, & he told me some bogus stuff that I should get fixed... but there IS a thing or two that I KNOW are wrong with my car that he didn't mention at all. Did they even look at my car? 1 day later my tire pressure notification/alert went off in my car, and I figured the sensor was just off a bit from the rotation (which Tuffy's usually resets all my sensors and everything). I stopped at a gas station and sure enough my tire pressure was super low on 3/4 tires. And a week later I find out that most of my fluids were not topped off. Are you kidding me?? What the heck did they do?? I paid for a full service oil change & tire rotation and I'm pretty sure they did nothing! I'd be surprised if they even changed the oil. The take home message here is that I will NOT be going to Tires Plus ever again, and if you want a decent oil change then you should not go there either!!! read more

Beware small garage type places! My family is visiting family out of state and our car broke down. My husband is a certified master technician with a dealership back home but is kind of limited with what he can do himself without his tools. We called around a couple of places pricing things out and decided to go with Tires Plus quote. When we got there they told us that they forgot to mention that they would have to do a coolant flush on top of the quote they previously gave us which would add another $110 plus to the bill. My husband being the type of mechanic who doesn't like to cheat people mentioned that a coolant flush wasn't needed to do the repair especially since topping off the coolant was part of the original repair. Tires Plus told us that the only button in their system to push "to add coolant" was a coolant flush. However, like I mentioned before topping off the coolant is part of the repair in the first place. Tires Plus simply wanted to add the action so they could add more labor hours to the bill so they could add to the price. read more
