I took my car to Tires Plus and it was honestly one of the worst experiences I've ever had at an auto shop. Everything was overpriced from the beginning. Simple services were quoted way higher than anywhere else and it felt like they were trying to charge extra for every single thing. The communication was terrible, the pricing made no sense, and I left feeling completely taken advantage of. Nothing felt transparent and it seemed like upselling mattered more than actually helping customers. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. They upcharge everything and make you feel like you have no choice but to pay it. There are way better shops out there that are honest, fair, and actually care about their customers. Brought my car in to have the brakes inspected after being told by another garage that my brakes needed replacing. They then claimed that there was very little wear remaining on the pads. Today, I bring the car into a reliable garage and have been told that I may have as much as 12,000 miles of wear remaining depending on driving habits. I went online to find a reasonable price for full synthetic oil change. Price charged was $35 more than online price listed and they did not put splash plate on correctly. Had to go somewhere today Saturday (a week later) pay more money to have it put back on correctly! read more

The guys here were super friendly and didn't even try to give me a hard time about my incompetence. They were able to get me in immediately and take care of the problem quickly. If i could give this place 0 i would. My car was totally fine, just needed maintenance. They managed to make my car worse than it was before. When i went back to talk about my issue, they refused to believe me and wanted to charge me what they broke. I went in for a brake flush and tire rotations. Few days later i realized my steering wheel was shaking and my brakes shake when i brake really hard. I went back in and he tells me it'll cost 22 to rotate your tires back to normal. At least Walmart is willing to charge me free when i went in with the same shaking when i got my tires rotated there. At least they listened and it worked. My friends do a better job rotating my tires than these people do, what a joke. All I'm saying is you know your car the best and what upsets it. These people weren't the ones to listen to me. Two years ago at your Firestone location in Apple Valley Minnesota, I was subjected to your bullshit bait and switch tactics when trying to buy tires for my son. I was told one price over the phone and double the price when we arrived for installation. I left negative reviews on social media and only then did you make it right. Today I have experienced the exact same thing at your Tires Plus in Shakopee Minnesota. I can only conclude this dishonest practice is part of your employee training, to tell the customer whatever you need to over the phone to get them into the store and then lie about product availability and product compatibility to sell them more expensive goods and services. I will never attempt to patronize your establishments again. I will be telling my young adult children and all of their friends to make sure no one they know buys tires from Firestone or Tires Plus. read more

Only Tires Plus I will ever go to for my car. The guys treat me like family and it is a wonderful thing to walk in to a repair shop and be recognized like that. My drive here may be 15 miles but it's very well worth it. I live closer to the Hopkins location but I don't get the friendly treatment I get from Shakopee. These guys and gals here are the best!! Keep it up you guys!!! It's hard to believe the change this place has gone through in just 10 months. My car hasn't seen one of these guys since my last post. I walked in here back in March for an oil change and tire rotate (normal stuff for me), and I guess the new store manager(Nathan) either was having a bad day or is just really that rude and disrespectful towards women, as I was really put off by him and literally went to the Midas down the road from my job(auto industry) and had them do it for me. Thought my work van needed brakes all around. Being a busy guy, I asked Nathan if he'd drive me back to the jobsite and drop me off then pick me up again after fixing the van. Nathan not only had me chauffeured to and from the jobsite, he called me an hour later and told me the back brakes were just fine, and the fronts were still driveable if I didn't want to replace them now. Went there about 3 weeks ago as my tire low pressure light was on. Was told I had a nail in the tire in an area that could not be repaired. Ok put on a new tire. Cant do that because by corp. policy I was less than 1/37th of acceptable wear on the tire. They did not want me to return needing a transmission repair so I would need to replace all 4 tires that had less than 10k miles on them. Please note I had purchased the tires from them and they were good tires, in fact I easily had another 50k of miles on them before they would need to be replaced per Tires Plus. Went to another tire dealer I had used in the past and the tire was repaired for $30.00. Went there for convenience, never again. A quick update. I did respond to their request for additional help with service issues. Provided all information requested and extra detail requested. Was assured that I would be contacted by management within 24 hours. That was on 6/27, still waiting. read more

Got scammed by this franchise today! Went in for a tire alignment, was told I needed new arm control bushings =$900.00....Got a 2nd opinion from neighborhood mechanic and told me nothing was wrong. Wasted half my day and lost a little more faith in mechanics....Ridiculous! Go to franchise mechanics at your own risk! High pressure to sell upgrades. Find a good neighborhood mechanic is best I can advise. read more

I was in at this Shakopee Tires Plus about 1 or 2 months ago since my check engine light had been one for a few days. Over the course of 4 days, I had been in with my car 3 different times because the person would run the scanner, get some code that they don't really explain to me. But they say they think it may be a piece with the ignition that they needed from a dealership. They end up saying that I'd need to come back the next day to have more of an expert take a deeper look and they needed to order the piece from the dealership. After the third look and this ignition piece replaced and the light still on, they conclude that I need ONE of my fuel injectors needs to be replaced but they recommend replacing all four, resulting in over $600 worth of parts/labor total. I think to myself and initially bite the bullet and set up an appointment to have this final work done a bit later in the week. After having conversations at work the following day, feeling bummed that this was going to cost so much and explaining the issue, a coworker suggested I head to AutoZone and have them run a scan to see what they say. I did that the day before this appointment was scheduled. The AutoZone guy ran the scan and showed me the resulting code...it said CLEAN fuel injectors. I purchased a bottle of fuel injector cleaner from AutoZone for $8.99, put it in my nearly empty tank, drove around for about 15 minutes - at this point the light is still on. I stop to fill my tank and turn my car back on and the light is off. And now I also found that my mileage is better. And I just need to run this cleaner through every so often (I know, I should've been doing this already). I called Tires Plus back and say I need to cancel my appointment. They ask if I want a reschedule and I say no, that the issue was not what they told me and I only had to pay 9 bucks to fix it. We negotiated a price for what was already done on my car - which did NOT EVEN NEED TO BE DONE. I paid my bill and will never go to this place again; not for repairs or tires. If AutoZone's scan read CLEAN injectors, I feel like Tires Plus could've found that out too. I feel scammed. read more
