Once I came in for the appt and they started working on it, it appeared that the entire sensor did need to be replaced. So yes it was news I didn't want to hear when I initially was planning on spending 100 bucks but they ended up giving me a good deal (much better than I thought). They really didn't even need to give me any discount but because of the confusion they did. I really appreciated that! Also, the service guy came out and let me know multiple times that they were close to finishing and where they were at which is nice considering most places just let you sit in the lobby for however long until its done. The guy said he had the same thing happen and took his vehicle to Discount tires, they replaced it for free! He told me where two different Discount Tires were. He added that he hadn't even bought his tires there and they did it for FREE! I thought I'd go to Tires Plus, because that's where I bought them. BIG MISTAKE for an older lady like me! They replaced the two stems--$40!! Then the guy told me my wipers were shot and needed to be replaced. I told him they were all brand new. (Two had been purchased two weeks prior and the third I had just bought at Valvoline the night before!) He shrugged his shoulders and gave me a smirk! He said my oil filter needed to be replaced. The night before, the guy at Valvoline SHOWED me the filter and said it had a lot of life left! Oh! And and he said the tires were all in bad shape! My tires are fine. I found out another place charges $3 a piece for the same thing. Quite a difference! I believe it's because I'm an old lady and he figured I wouldn't know of other deals' around town. So buyer BEWARE if you are older and female! I will NEVER go back there. And so sorry I ever bought tires from them in the first place when they don't back them up!

Everything about my experience was spot on…read more - They were able to get me in quickly - The gentleman at the front desk spent a good amount of time explaining what the plan was and what all costs associated with the work would be before starting - everyone that spoke to me explained things clearly, and in a non-condescending way - they told me that over 1K of work another garage said my car needed was not needed at all - I came in asking for new brake pads and rotors, and a check engine light diagnostic. I left with a $30 tab, check engine light off/fixed, and a plan to come back in a few months for brake pads only. He said if it were his car, he'd wait because nothing was urgent. It felt like family: I was treated with respect and left with a smile. I've found my new neighborhood garage!!

Anyways I notice when going to work early morning my Chevy Trailblazer (Who I named Old Faithful) was reving really hard. As I continued to drive it out to where I had to go the Check Engine light went on. I had this problem before which is an Engine Misfire. On one of the Sparkplugs and Cylinders. I had contact my relative and she sent me to Midas In Eden Prairie, MN. Boy DID I MAKE A BIG MISTAKE. Midas told me I had to replace a whole cylinder head!! IT was gonna cost me $6k!! That is like a good used car! On top of that they we're inspecting other parts of the car that was not necessary! Unfortunately, I had to pay $122 for the diagnostic but I by change had contacted on Craig's List another Mechanic who referred me to Erik. I had told Erick and he himself was shocked at my story! He new Midas was BS-ing and I went to him. My engine was still fine! I just needed new spark plugs which he believed Midas technicians damage by pulling it out the improper way and new great quality coils which I should have don vs buying from Ebay.
