They should honestly have a receptionist of some kind, because when coming in there is always a wait and they have a bell to know when someone has come into the building and they completely ignore it every time. I stood in the waiting area for a good 45 minutes before anyone came and answered and I stood outside the window to which they could see me. They also do not answer the phone I couldn't even count the number of times I heard the phone ring and no one came to answer it. The service they do is fine, but their customer service not so much. We had a slow tire leak and got an early next day appointment. We worked with Ben and Cody. They were the best. They were friendly, happy, pleasant, and knowledgeable. They were able to get us in right on time! Ben was there helping out from an Appleton shop. We strongly suggest that he be brought on as a regular for this team. He was amazing.There is a small area to sit/wait that has a plug-in for phones and a TV available to watch. Additionally, they checked my engine and fluids. All was good to go. Woke up at home to find my tire almost flat with a leak. This was the closest tire repair place of any kind to my home in Oshkosh, so I headed over. I was told it would be 1-1/2 hours, as it was a Saturday and I had no appt. No worries, wife came and picked me up. 2.5 hours later I called and was told my car was 3rd in line. Another 4 hours goes by, with zero phone calls from them, so I head over to get my car and drive it home as is. Apparently they had forgotten about it. Long story short, was told 1-1/2 hours, heard nothing from them all day, went back 6.5 hours later to drive it home without them having touched it. I would not rely on this place. read more

If I could rate Tires Plus at this location as a zero I would with no hesitation. My husband and I visit many different auto part stores , and car shops/tire shops because we have many vehicles that we work on and have work done on. We came in today for our 3 o'clock appointment , and we were early. Over the phone he said our total for what we wanted done would be $45 . When we go there and say exactly what we need done (EXACTLY word for word what we said on the phone when we got the $45 price - which was NOT an estimate as we made sure we clarified) they said it was going to be $60. So they were up charging. Then we leave the car with them and they call 20 minutes later saying they wouldn't even do what we needed done. They are the ONLY place I've ever been to that said they couldn't do this. (We needed 2 wheel studs done because one got pushed into the wheel- which is a fairy easy task if you have the correct tools.) we clarified that they had the right tools and they wouldn't give us a reason for not doing it. They just said they wouldn't touch it. ON TOP OF THAT - we began to drive home and there was a horrible extra noise and odd vibration coming from the wheel. They had given it back to us with a additional wheel stud broken - which was NOT broken before. We always check car over before handing it over for repairs for this exact reason. To top off this terrible experience- they STOLE our custom lug nut adaptor - we called and asked for it back and said they'd call back in a 2-5 minutes. It's been 45 minutes - and no calls from them. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR CAR. they are unexperienced, unreliable and extremely RUDE ! I don't normally pay attention to this stuff and normally I ignore it - but they were very nice to me( a white woman) but extremely hostile and short with my husband (Mexican male). The rudest staff members we came into contact with were Tom and Cameron (I'm pretty sure that was his name but am unsure because he mumbled) the tech guy. When we got got our keys back , he didn't let us come back into the building and asked us to wait outside. I didn't see them doing this with any others customers. I am disgusted by this experience. Do not go here. You will be very very sorry. Mind you I have NEVER given anyone a review less than 3.5 stars. Called to get my winter tires swapped over and was told they couldn't do it cause i wasn't part of the winter change over program. I use to work for this company for 10 1/2 years and there was never a program. I also have been having them swap them over for the last 6 years every spring and fall. Never once was i told this. Contacted customer support and they told me they don't have access to that information and i will have to contact the store. Why is there a customer support if they just tell you to contact the store your having issues with. read more

My daughter recently had a terrible experience at Tires Plus in Oshkosh. She brought her car there with her rear left tire almost flat. After they offered to put air in instead of fixing the problem, they kept the car overnight at my request . The following day, they called to say the tire was repaired. 25 miles into her drive to Illinois the tire went almost flat again. She barely made it to Allenton Service. Tires Plus never repaired the leaky valve stem and only plugged the leak. They also put the snow tire back on with the directional arrow backwards, a clear safety hazard. When I called to complain, Susan the manager told me the tech was new. So apparently no one is checking the work of a new tech and they are just letting cars go out back on the road in an unsafe condition. I wish Yelp offered a no star rating. John B read more

Took my car there for an alignment and i was told it could not be done because the tie rod end was seized. They asked if I wanted them to order the parts and I told them no I would do it myself. I bought the parts I needed from the auto parts store and went home. I then proceeded to jack my car up and took the tire off checked everything they told me was bad and found out they straight up lied to me about needing tie rods. My car needed NOTHING. I will never take anything back to this place. read more

I've always received decent service for an overall good value here. Sometimes service can be slow though. The thing that irks me about this Tires Plus is the waiting area. The waiting area could use a deep clean or even a Reno. Sorry, but when you're waiting around you notice all of the gunk on the walls, cob webs and stains. Bleh. I know it's a mechanic shop but this place gives me the heebies. I try to drop my car off and come back to pick it up, if I have the option. read more

They're good with customer satisfaction - as in refunding and giving things at no cost but geeze, they can't ever get things done the first time. I had my tires replaced by them and all 4 TPMS sensors and ever since the tire replacement and sensor installment the light never went off. I went in more than enough times I should have been at an auto shop in general, to see why it's still on and each time I left the confidently said that the TPMS light is off or "just drive a couple miles and it'll go away" Still a whole year later, it's still on and I am still in trying to get it fixed. read more

I took my Jeep to have the tires replaced because after they put the first set on the Jeep had a vibration. While it was there I had them replace the front brakes. The job was supposed to take 2.5 hours to do the brakes and the tires. When I finally got the Jeep back just the brakes were done and it was 3.5 hours later. They told me it didn't need tires even though they have a 30 day trial on all tires. On top of all this they broke the gear shifter in the Jeep and didn't say one word about it! I had to call corporate and they are opening a claim for the shifter while I am sitting here with a broken shifter. I am not happy at all! If you like your car, don't take it here! read more

Had a 2:30 appointment for 2 tires. At 3:20 my car was still in the spot where I parked it, was only shortly afterward that my car was pulled into the bay. Absolutely no explanation from the staff; the desk clerk was constantly in and out of the lobby. I only ever come here out of necessity and every time I come here it's like this. Slow service. Had an alignment done very friendly.they told me lower ball joints were bad. I took it home and replaced them.had another appointment made and was finished when I picked it up The alignment still wondered to the right after they were done. They warranty work so I took it back and waited till they were done. it still wanders to the right. It was a Friday after 2:30 the job was rushed because nothing was told or done to change it. I came to your store in Oshkosh a couple months ago because my vehicle was shaking. The mechanic blew me off by only rotating my tires and complaining in the back of the store yelling within ear shot that if it was still shaking that it was all in my head. Now I'm stuck replacing my drive shaft, transfer box, and transmission after stalling in the middle of the street on the coldest day of the year because of something simple that could have been prevented. This negligence is a liability letting me risk my life like that. You get 1 star because there are no negative stars optional. I will be contacting the BBB and a lawyer. read more

Had appointment for 7 am 12/10 to replace 2 back tires. One was going flat. Arrived at 7 and they were still closed. Employees arrived 7:30, which is 1/2 hour late. Gave me excuse someone called in sick. Then found out my online appointment was never scheduled in computer. Then to top things off, I'm told my vehicle would not be done for 7 hours. I get a ride, leave, and return in 7 hours. Truck is ready. Start traveling back home and my onboard computer tells me my tire is again losing air. Turn around, head back to tires plus. Walk in and no one is on sales floor. Waited ten minutes. I actually had to call them to get someone up front. They finally check and find the sensor was not properly set after tire replaced. Well fast forward to the next day. My sensor for my back tire is showing tire losing air again! Well come to find out, it actually is for the passenger front tire going flat. The so called technicians(used loosely) rotated my bad tire to the front AND somehow screwed up my sensors. AND I'm guessing dumped my good tire into the trash heap. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! They offered to not only refund my money but also the amount I paid to have it re-repaired. It's great to see a company that stands behind their work! This company almost killed my daughter and wife. I am writing this from the Tires Plus lobby. I came in 2 weeks ago to buy 2 new tires for my minivan. Got the tires. A day later my wife and daughter were on the highway and heard a rhythmic knocking sound. I brought it back, and the manager on duty, Michael, I believe told me straight out "your really lucky the tire didn't come off." They could have died. On the Highway. With brand new tires installed by Tires Plus in Oshkosh. And the manager admitted it. OOOOH, but I got a free oil change! Our Saturn then needed new headlights. I made an appointment for yesterday (Saturday). I sat for 2 hours at a pre-made appointment to check and replace my headlights. They came out, said lights are all good, but I could use some new tires and a new oil filter. Oh, the oil filter you replaced in the free oil change you gave me for admitting to almost killing my wife and daughter? I have reported this to corporate and let them know of my intentions to seek legal counsel. Considering some of the other reviews of the Oshkosh Tires Plus, it won't be too hard to prove a pattern of money grabbing and bad (lethal) service. read more

I went there to get a tire patched on a Sunday since they were one of the few places open I could get to on a spare. Thinking to myself, good thing it happened on a Sunday and I didn't find out on my way to work. Wishful thinking that was. This morning, the next day, I go out to my car on my way to work with the rim on the ground. the 3 mile drive home was all the car was driven after I got it 'patched'. A walk to work and a night of changing my tire is not what I had planned for today. I would have rather waiting until today and call in sick to work than to deal with this headache. I will be going back there to get my money back and going someplace else. read more

Will not be going to Tires Plus in Oshkosh again. Had an appt at 10am on a Tuesday to have two things done. They said 3-4 hours. At 4pm I received a call saying they wouldn't have time to finish and I would either need to leave my car there or bring it in another time. I needed my car for work so I made a second appt. This time I dropped it off at 8am and got a call at 3:45pm saying my car was finally finished. I went to pick it up, drove away only to realize my heat had stopped working. Keep in mind it's mid-December in Wisconsin, and my heat was NOT what I went in for in the first place. I pulled over, called back and asked. They said they must have done something wrong and would like me to come back. I asked them to call me when it was done. 30 minutes later my car is back in the lot, seemingly completed but I had not received a call. I went in, waited at the desk for 10 minutes until someone finally came to the desk to help me. My car was finally complete. While I enjoy my new tires, I would pay more money and go somewhere with better customer service and getting it done right the first time. read more

I Sat for six hours after getting the go ahead to "come on in" after calling to get my brakes looked at. Once I checked in I received No updates unless I stood at the counter to find out what was going on, always waiting on Fleet for authorization was the answer. Lady who scheduled left part way through and left for her counterpart, which was left in the dark. Mechanics did a great job so I scheduled for a Saturday drop off to get regular maintenance and snow tires put on. Dropped off at 7 am and I called at 4:30 to get an update, guess they haven't been trained on the importance of updates, I was told they were just finishing up. Pulled up at six to pick up, doors were locked. I received a call around 6:30 after I was out of the area, that it was done. Had to go back on Sunday to pick up. On my way to upper Michigan that next day I had a pretty noticeable vibration from the rear that I never had with those tires but did notice no weights on one rear wheel. Called the day I was driving back to get it back in to have it looked and got an appt. I stood at the counter for 20 minutes while a writer was on the phone with two more people behind me. I left, no need for wasted time with garbage service. read more
