I came to this tires plus location because my car wasn't holding any coolant and this is the closest repair shop to my home. I explained the situation and also mentioned I needed an oil change. I mentioned I would like to use my extended Route 66 warranty coverage if possible for the repair and I was immediately met with the manager on duty telling me I would have to take my car somewhere else with that warranty. I explained to him that my car has no coolant and I cannot take it anywhere else. After a discussion he agreed to call the warranty and discuss options. It turns out tires plus does accept this warranty and almost made it seem like the manager on duty just didn't want to deal with the situation and was trying to shoo away my business. I left my car there overnight, I recieve a call that one of the mechanics backed a truck up into the front of my car putting a dent in the front bumper/grill. They tell me they will cover the repair but what an unnecessary hassle to have to deal with. A week goes by. My car displays I have no oil. I take the car back in and they tell me that the oil plug is cracked!! How does a cracked oil plug end up on a vehicle leaving a repair shop? They offer to replace the oil plug. I have to leave my car there again for two hours, call my sister to pick up my children from school. I walk back to my house while the car is in the shop and greet my children. When the car is ready we begin walking back and my 5 year old daughter falls and scraps her knees and elbows so we turn around to bandage her up. The car is retrieved and oil is in the engine. Another week goes by, I hear a scrapping from underneath the car, the plastic/fabric flap that is used to cover the bottom of the vehicle is hanging off as it was not properly replaced after service. I am now sitting in front of the shop waiting for the repair as I type this. This experience has been the most pathetic excuse of proper customer care or repair ability. If I had even a hint of notice that bringing my vehicle to this shop would cause this much of an inconvenience on me or my families lives. I have been late to work, inconvenienced my sister into picking up my children. Dealt with bloody knees and elbows and been startled on the road from the sounds I've heard and notices received on my dashboard. I will never return to this location or any tires plus location ever again. I will never recommend any tires plus location to anyone I ever speak to again. The repairs were handled but that is the absolute bare minimum that has been done. Taking care of your own mistakes is the absolute bare minimum. But in addition to the repairs, none of the time or stress or injuries or other inconveniences had been addressed. Tires plus is the worst car repair experience on the market and I will never return. read more

Called early morning to see if I could get an oil change. they told me come in. didn't tell me it would take 5-6 hours. I took my Mercedes in with no issues at all. I sat down and waited because I figured maybe I was the first few in line. I waited from 8:30 till 1PM for them to tell me it was done. As I'm getting in my car to leave one of the employees says my left Pirelli tire was flat. How odd because it showed no indication of it being flat when I got there 5 hours prior. Not only that but it had a slash in it. ok ? let's say it was a "coincidence". I was sketched out by it and ended up caving in and buying the two tires they recommended. awesome, so two days pass and I come in in the morning to drop of my key when they said they scheduled the tires to arrive. They said it will be there by 4. to my surprise I get there at 4:30 and they still havent even touched my car. So I leave to grab a bite and come back. A week prior to all this I installed rim protectors to my rims to keep them from scratching. they're about $75. I noticed one of my rims had it missing? So I was like it was either taken off or they ripped it. One they finally added the tires the guy hands me the keys and the rim proctor which was totally trashed and says "I didn't do it". it looked so horrible that I had to remove the other 3 rim protectors because another one was damaged as well. So I basically was out $150 just because they weren't careful. The costumer service was total trash. I even at one point went to the counter to ask how long they were going to be and they looked at me like I was an idiot and talking to the wall. Not even being dramatic they almost ignored me. Trash trash trash. Dont ever take a luxury car to one of these places they don't care at all about your vehicle. read more

Did not check my tires for and fix the one I told them was leaking before rotating and then they couldn't find the leaking tire. One of the men at the desk was a rude hothead. The 2nd man (Jerry) was polite and professional, but still they didn't fix my tire even having my car all morning. What a waste of time and money. read more

I've taken my car here a lot over the years. They're straight shooters. Prices always seem reasonable. They'll tell you what they'd recommend and why, but they don't pressure you to get it done and will recommend other options and even other shops. They're not the most responsive, but only because they're so busy all the time, which tells you that I'm not the only one who comes back a lot. They'll pick up the phone when you call. read more

Make this your new service center. Arrived with no appointment, having a stressful day, with a simple but odd task. Counter staff was welcoming and prompt (shout out to Aaron). Do NOT take your car here! Late October/early November we took our 2014 Cruze (with less than 90,000 miles) in for an oil change. Mid-December a notification appeared on the dash that oil was low and to turn off the engine. We took the car in ASAP and they told us we had an oil leak and they replaced an O-ring and all should be good. About a month later we get the same notification and take it back in and sure enough oil is still leaking. They refilled the oil and added dye to determine where the leak was coming from. Last week we saw what we assumed was the dye with oil on the ground beneath the car and took it in right away. They informed us that the car was leaking from the entire under carriage and the leak was causing an issue within the engine and to fix it we need to replace the engine for $7,500 (more than the car is worth). We thought we were going to be out a car... Thankfully we decided to get a second opinion! We took the car to the dealership and they were able to make the necessary repairs to fix the oil leak, that would not have been fixed by replacing the engine, and the additional issues created by having an oil leak for so long. These repairs cost $1,300 and we get to keep our car! Had we listened to this Tires Plus telling us we needed a new engine we would've been selling our car. Thankfully they were terribly wrong. Either they lied or didn't know what they were doing. If it's the latter, why not just be honest about it before telling us we need to dish out $7,500 to not fix the problem? Needless to say I will never trust this place again and will never take my cars here again. read more

Beware of the shady mechanics!!! I took my car to this location for an alternator replacement. They put a new alternator in and as I left the worker made a joke about my AC. When I got home my AC did not work. I took it to another place and they tested the AC compressor and said it was bad. So I ordered a new compressor and finally got it to a mechanic I trust and the mechanic said there's nothing wrong with AC compressor and that tires plus simply unplugged. So a big fat FU to all the shitty mechanics at tires plus. I won't be using those assholes again. read more

In my opinion they are CROOKS! DO NOT USE THEM FOR ANYTHING! Ever heard of the mechanic that breaks something EVERYTIME you are there so they can charge you to fix it? This is who these people are. I took my jeep in 3 weeks ago for oxygen sensors. They say you need cam position sensors. Mind you It's only got 111k miles on it so yeah maybe it's time. Mistake, big mistake. They replaced them and when they did they apparently destroyed my engine. I left that Saturday and it was running worse than it had ever. I took it back in Sunday and they had it for 3 days before they show me a picture of all of this metal in my oil. Mind you they just did the last 2 oil changes with no issue. So they say 6600 for a new engine. 2 weeks later, I go to pick it up its now $10,164 not 6600 and I go out to get in my jeep and the AC doesn't work. I am flabbergasted at the negligence of this establishment. You go there and you will have more problems, after reading other reviews this is regular behavior (destroying engines) Buyer beware, not only will I be writing a Google review, I will be seeking a lawyer and reporting them to the better business bureau. If the owner reads this I sincerely hope you make some changes. They didn't connect everything, my slave cylinder is covered in oil. They scratched grill, they lost screws in my hood hold down, scratched those hold downs. read more

I wish I had never checked the tire here. I went here to check the tire pressure; they inspected and told me there is a crack on the rim which is leaking air. So I drove home, and decided to have it welded tomorrow. Then I found the car wobbled and shook heavily on the road, and found that they even forgot to put back one lug nut. As expected, they denied their mistake, and blamed the crack for everything. When asked about the missing lug nut, they played dumb. The crack was there long before this happened. After they put back the wheel again, the shaking problem got better, but still there. Apparently, they didn't put back the wheel properly the first time. And even for the second time, they didn't do it well. read more

So I'm about 100 miles away from home and was staying in Gainesville for business. I have an older Accord with 150k on it, and my check engine light came on. During my lunch break I called this Tires Plus location and explained my situation: had oil change recently done, filled my gas tank up from almost empty and checked my gas cap multiple times. Regardless of all that my check engine light was still on. The gentleman I spoke with let me know that a diagnostic would cost 69.99 and that it would take 45 minutes to figure out what the problem is. Since it was cutting it close for my lunch break, I asked if I should make an appointment for later on in the day, and he said I can just stop in when I am able to. I stopped in after work and one of the guys used the handheld computer to check what code was causing the light to come on. He told me that there were three codes conflicting with each other and he was not able to figure out what the problem was, but cleared the check engine light for me. I wasn't charged since they didn't do a full diagnosis, but the manager did tell me that if the light came back on, to stop in and they'll do the full diagnosis. That experience alone was great and deserved a full five stars because of both of them being professional and friendly, I just wished I got their names to give them full credit. But since I didn't have my car worked on, I can't really comment had the full diagnosis was done and if the estimate I would get was worth having my car done by them. Indeed, my check engine light came on again, but then disappeared after I filled my car up. Moral of the story: do not run your car until almost empty. read more

Came in for an oil change and was told my oil pan plug was busted and needed a complete oil pan replacement, "the pan not that expensive, $300, but labor would be another $400, $957.84 estimate. I mentioned my last oil change was done here too and hadn't heard of that before. "Ugh???, deer in headlights, crickets, uncomfortable silence pause..." The "temporary"alternative is. "$15 dollar oversized oil bolt." Said The frontman. New year, new scams. These folk must take advantage of plenty little old ladies with credit cards. I wondered why the scores were so so low....NOW I KNOW! After visiting this location in the past, I went to Tire Plus at 8:30 am on 08/03/2021. I walked in with no Customers in the waiting area and no cars in front of the store. The Service Manager, Aaron greeted me and took my concern (ie: front right side tire vehicle inspection and TPMS intermittently coming on). After a 2 hour wait in this mostly empty break room. It now 10:30 and Service Advisor Destin called me up to go over a massive $1300 recommended Services! None of which addressed my initial Service inspection request! SA Destin apologized and stated 'I have failed You'. He stated they were now conducting a Road Test! The Service Manager Aaron stated the initial Service request was simple. I then stated I needed to be out of there by 11:00 am. They did not meet the deadline! I stated to SA Destin that I really felt, I should not have to pay for this failure of diagnosing my concerns appropriately but I was going to. At this time the Service Manager Aaron angrily and verbally attacked me. I stated to him I was not talking to you and he stated how angry he was with my displeasures! Additionally, I was paying this $20 bill! As a former Regional Manager for a Major Automotive company, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TIRE PLUS FOR PRICING, TIMELINESS, CUSTOMER SERVICE and I am therefore destroying this Yellow Tire Plus Card. The people here have always been great and always communicate what needs to be done and how much it's going to cost before they do anything. They are always good about applying discounts or coupons. We all know getting car work done sucks and you have to wait so they're pretty on it when estimating how long things will take, if they don't have the parts right then, or whatever unforeseen thing may come up. We just needed one simple tire and then rotate back to front. They said 1 1/2hr wait. Over 3 hours later we get the car but he hasn't done the rotation. Then we ask about it and he says he didn't see it on the work order. So he takes it back. We wait another 40 minutes for him to drive the car out with one side rotated and not even the side with the new tire. The girl in the front was very nice. But then she started making excuses for him that he is sick. (I'm sorry but, stay at home then) I just got off of a 13hr overnight shift at the hospital to a flat tire. So honestly at this point I don't care about the reason for Kevins incompetencies and I definitely won't bring my car back to this tire plus. read more

I bought the tires here, and have since moved. I cannot speak for the store honoring the warranty it sold, but the chain is supposed to accept it regardless where the tires/warranty was purchased. I stopped into a Tires Plus for the second time to have a nail pulled on my lifetime road hazardous warranty. For the second time the claim was denied. The first claim, the nail was too close to the side wall for a patch to hold. The second claim, there wasn't enough tread. The tread is still slightly above the wear bars, not much, but manager stated the tread was lower. It was nothing a couple of tire patches from Wal-Mart couldn't handle. All the shop seemed interested in was selling new tires. No offer was made to prorated amount on the remaining 10-15k miles that the tires were supposed to reach (70k tires). It took the shop about an hour to refuse to patch the tire. They did do a courtesy check, those I wish they would have refused to start with so I could have gone on my way. Tires have been fine, wouldn't recommend the hazard warranty. read more
