I got a great deal on my new Continentals at this place , but it wasn't easy. I have been here before and I really like their knowledge and passion for tires. The had my tires in stock and I took it in a Friday .... I get a call about 3:00 pm that can't find my wheel lock , I tell them it's in the trunk. He texts me it's not on the trunk so I say I'll pick t up visit lexus and get one. I pick it up , don't open the trunk because how difficult is to to look for a wheel lock in the trunk. I don't remember if it was there as it's a newer car.... I pick it up drive to lexus and open the trunk and there's my wheel lock ! The good news is they are open Sunday and I was able to get the new rubber installed. Manager was very apologetic and I could tell he was embarrassed. Nice hits and it wasn't a big deal , just a little inconvenience. Definitely saved me some money so it was worth it! Definitely my go to place for tires! read more

I called on Thursday to schedule a tire replacement and was instructed to drop my car off Saturday morning to have one tire replaced. Upon arrival, I discovered that my appointment had never been added to the schedule. After waiting nearly four hours, I ultimately decided to take my car elsewhere. Additionally, the customer service experience was disappointing (I dealt with the owner of the establishment), especially considering the facility was not busy and was completely empty. I needed 2 tires made an appointment, told me to drop car off. I had planned to drop it off but my friend got sick and couldn't pick me up. I told the guy this and he said he didn't know how long I would have to wait. No body else is waiting so why wouldn't they do my car next? After sitting there for 2+ hours I went for a walk and saw my car still in the same spot. I had the feeling I was being punished for waiting. This is the 2nd year I've been using Tires, Etc. for inspection and tires and other auto work. I was really impressed that the same folks who were there last year were still there and they were just as nice as before. The service went well - inspection done - a few problem areas fixed as they suggested. Everything was explained so well. They even saved me from purchasing a new battery as it tested out fine - just needed a little cleaning. The area where you wait is nice - chairs comfortable, coffee good and I do need to report that their bathroom is huge and SO CLEAN!! (unlike what you would expect from an auto repair shop). It has a baby changing table and enough room for to enter with my mobility scooter. Once again - I am so impressed! Good job Tires, Etc.!! read more

Warning about Tires Etc. on 616 Upper State Road in North Wales, PA. DO NOT go there!! They told us our car axle needed repair and "fixed it" allegedly. One day later, our son was driving the car and the axle dropped and damaged the transmission where you couldn't change gears or put into park. Luckily this time, no injuries occurred. There was a huge repair cost. Tires Etc. would not pay for the repaired damage that was required from the car dealership. Tires Etc. tried to blame the parts folks and just delayed. When reaching out to Tires Etc. and speaking with Mike and Marshall (from their West Chester regional division and Mike's supervisor), they both became very angry on my follow-up calls on rectifying the situation. Mike refused to speak to us and just "passes the buck" to Marshall, who sides with Mike. Do your customers right Tires Etc. This could have been easily resolved by paying for the damage and repairs to fix what your services did not provide in the first place. Thank God no one was injured (this time)!! We had two cars there at the same time and they stated both needed axle repairs. They are a horrible business and do not stand by their repairs. Avoid them if you value your cars. read more

Unfortunately, my review follows suit to many other reviewers for this place. Had an appointment scheduled for 11:00am and was sent an email the day prior: due to a labor shortage there might be a longer than usual wait time, no biggie. Showed up at my assigned time and was told that my appointment was not written in which was odd (want to mention I just went in for an inspection). I understand how labor shortages can be, but I did not receive a call until around 4:30pm and on top of that they provided a long list of services that are required in order for my vehicle to pass inspection. I am going for a second opinion, as the entire experience felt sketchy and left a bad taste in my mouth. Would NOT recommend this place to anyone, especially if you value your time. read more

Customers aware !!! Inspection scam at 616 Upper state Rd North wales. I was told I need two front brake rotor replacements and charged $450 . b/c my inspection expired the same day, I was naive and agreed to have it fix. While I waiting at the shop, I did some repair record check, my last replacement was 2 years ago and the car drove less than 15K miles. there is no way it does not past the inspection. Later on, when I asked to cancel the job, they told me the break were already removed. Here is the kick! They charged a flat rate for labor of $250 for this job. Where the work should be less than a hour. To sum it up! Dishonor, Ripoff and do not fall for the advertising. This is the last place you want to bring your car to fix. read more

I made an appointment to have my Silverado tires installed. They have 1 lift that can handle larger vehicles, so that was a little upsetting, but nonetheless I was in and out in a reasonable amount of time. Don't bother making an appointment...I made a 1:00 appointment to buy 2 new tires....called before I went over to make sure they had the tires...then when I got there was told not to wait because it would be 2-3 hours before my car was done. I told them I had a 1:00 appointment I made online and he basically said they really don't go by appointments! I had to find someone to pick me up ...and arrange for someone to take me back when they were done. I got a phone call @4:00 telling me my car wasn't done because they didn't have the tires I wanted...and tried to sell me much more expensive tires. Needless to say I picked up my car and will never go back! They are known for consistently "up selling" every person that comes in their door...especially women....they get bonuses for doing it. I usually buy my tires from tirerack; drive down, pick them up and come back. I get a rebate on the cost because I pick them up. no sales tax. I love driving so it's a great trip. saving ~ $125 is worth my time. didn't do it this time; went here and ordered the tires. had them balanced, etc. while it was in I had them do an inspection; I knew it probably needed brakes, about 42000 miles. passed with flying colors... about 2 weeks later I get a brake warning light; and then a brake replace warning after that. these guys had an opportunity to get a brake job added to their bill. but didn't. so I spent a few more hours at the dealership getting it fixed. my savings was short lived. did I really save anything? my time has some value and the joy waiting was not there. the dealership had coffee, coke and snacks; and the job got done. I'd buy tires there again; that part was fairly cut and dry. But the appointment just gets your name on the list for the day; after that... Oh yeah, and I just dropped in at the dealer. I wish I read the reviews before bringing in my vehicle. They trap you with the $40 inspection deal, and tell you your vehicle needs unnecessary works to pass inspection. I brought my car in on Saturday, They fail my safety inspection and told me I need new brake pads and rotors. When I discovered my wheel lock key was missing and called them on Monday. They said the manager was not in and I will get a call back on Tuesday. I called on Tuesday and the manager told me his mechanic worked at the dealer before and has a master key, and told me they didn't touch my wheel lock key. So I guess his mechanic stole the master key from the dealership he worked at ??? STAY AWAY from this place! Find a mom-and-pop shop to service your vehicle. I made an appointment online for 11:00 a.m. was told it would be a couple of hours call back at 1:30 and they said they were backed up and just pulling it in... State Inspection Scam at 616 Upper State Rd, North Wales, PA 19454 - posting here as Google hides negative reviews ..I have a newer car with 29k miles and inspection was supposed to be a formality but they asked if I'd like 30k mile service which I was able to refuse. Next they said the wiper blades are old and I MUST Buy from the Shop otherwise the car won't pass inspection. BRIAN WOODS pretty much forced me to buy and sold me the cheapest trico metal wiper that streaks and doesn't make full contact for an additional 49.98 as Premium Beam Wipers. I disposed those 5 dollar trico metal wipers a month later as it kept reminding me of the incident. Made an appointment for 12:30 PM two days prior to the appointment. Arrived with my car at 12:20 PM. I just needed the oil changed. At 1:45 - the man who checked me in came over to me and asked how to start my car. An hour and fifteen minutes Past my appointment. I took my jeep there to get 4 new tires that were 33x12.50x17 they ended up giving me 32x10x17 and claimed they are equivalent to the same. Which I've worked on cars before and even to the normal persons eye they aren't even close. They also claimed that I had no oil in my car which also wasn't true and that I need it new rotors and brakes also wasn't true. Now I'm out a lot of money and have tires that I don't want. would highly suggest never to go to this place they are the clear example of a shop that scams people for more money. read more

Well, I had dealer install KYB shocks on front of my CTS, and noticed the uneven tracking with a stiff front suspension, and a mild ride rear shocks. I had personally installed the rear stocks, and now don't have a garage at the house so I asked for a price to install the new, my purchased, KYBs in the rear... $300. Really? Good experience getting specialty tires (winter ice/snow) No longer available on tire rack supplier that I used previously Their price had been upwards of $200 The price for the exact same tire was 109 dealing with Jim Kuny and Aaron. I dropped off wheels letting them know it was for a GTI -- the tires were installed precisely with the marker at the valve stem/pressure set to the specs appropriate for my vehicle (meaning the technicians had looked up the vehicle and determined the factory specifications even though the vehicle was not there on site) Rims were not scratched/ wheel weights firmly applied (Had experienced the wheel weights falling off when work was done at the Volkswagen dealership because the technician failed to clean the wheel) BTW Aaron gave honest opinion about alloy wheel repair price suggesting a more cost effective alternative Despite being a busy establishment, I felt respected/ treated fairly with premium service read more

Yesterday I stopped in to have front brake pads and rotors put on along with a motor mount, I dealt with Louis and it was a pleasant experience. Car inspected a week before and during inspection I needed tie rod and alignment since tires were worn. During tire replacement at Tires ETC they called and said I need the other side tie rod and an alignment since the alignment was done during inspection and "aligned to the worn tires"...total garbage. Called my mechanic and he laughed and agreed this work does not need to be done. They also said I have a bad oil leak and wanted $90 to do a test....I have no drips in the driveway...also another BS story. They automatically add road hazard at $89...told them to remove that charge...they reluctantly removed it...then their attitude changed since their upcharge tactics failed. Know your car and stand firm if you do not think additional services are needed. Made an appointment for Saturday at 9:00 am for tires on my car the previous Saturday. Received a text confirming the appointment and that the tires were ordered. Received another text that the tires were in house. Received another text two days before appointment reconfirming the appointment. All of the communication was by text. Then I received an EMAIL the day before at 2:00 pm saying that I could not wait for the vehicle although that what the appointment was for. When I called about the issue, I was told that was their policy due to a lot of walk in customers wanting to wait on Saturday. That is fine, tell them they can't wait. All previous communication was by text, so I wouldn't think to check email. Good thing I did or bigger issue would have occurred day of appointment. i cancelled my appointment and went to another business for my tires.
