(I've been renting a car for the past few months and the company that I am renting through chooses to have their cars serviced here.) For the last two service jobs, I was underwhelmed. They got everything done very quickly and efficiently, but I felt that more could have been done, especially considering the fact that I am constantly on the highway. Sometimes, due to the way the car would drive, I felt intimidated by taking long trips on the highway, especially knowing how Philadelphia and NY drivers can be. Your car has to be in top notch condition and you have to be a skilled and aware driver. Today, I was just dropping the car off for a simple oil change, and I wasn't expecting this experience to be any more unique than the last. As a woman, walking in to any car service provider is intimidating, and as a woman who knows cars very well, I don't get taken seriously when I bring certain things to most repair center associates attention that are a concern of mine. I know when someone has rushed through a service, skipped steps, etc. I can't tell you how many times I've asked someone to check my tire pressure or alignment for them to say that it's fine, only to find out that it could have been better. Well, I picked the car up, jumped on the highway, and let me tell you, the car is driving like I just picked it up off of the lot. I don't know what has changed within the past few months, but whomever worked on my car TODAY deserves some sort of recognition because they definitely know what they're doing and do it very well. I hope that they know that there are people out there that pay attention and care about how their car drives and appreciate people who are willing to go above and beyond to provide service that everyone deserves at a reasonable price. read more

The epitome of over promise and under deliver. I was promised 4 things and got none of them. The tires I ordered I didn't get I got some cheaper knockoff brand, free oil change? My oil wasn't touched but I got a coupon for half off ... yay. Secure the wind guard under my car.. what guard is the response I got. Got signed up for the credit and was told I could pay it off in the store, sorry we can't pay off the cards at all in store. Had my front seat covered in cigarette ash, I don't smoke. My steering wheel was covered in black grease and dirt. I had my car detailed two weeks prior, interior and exterior with a ceramic coating. Only went there because they could get the brand of tires I wanted quickly. I didn't get a call to let me know those tires never came in but the other ones did and it was already installed and my tires were already picked up by whoever does it. So I was stuck with these tires. Lesson learned quick doesn't mean good. read more

I had a tire emergency and stopped here and this was the best experience I've ever had at a tire place. I'm a girl who knows nothing about cars and on a time crunch and could have easily been taken advantage of but instead they were transparent, honest, and kind to me. I strongly advise that you do not take your car to this Firestone location for any service whatsoever. They are a bunch of thieves - and "Lee S" business owner should be stripped of this franchise. Bridgestone should be embarrassed. Took my car there for PA inspection, which with unscrupulous mechanics is license to rip you off for unnecessary repairs that they can "find" while claiming your car fails without their costly repairs. The classic PA Inspection rip off is brakes/rotors, tires and ball joints. Repairs not easy to confirm as necessary for the average motorist. I've worked on cars for 30 years and frankly a monkey with a wrench can do a brake job. Just as a precaution, I always pull my wheels prior to doing the "PA inspection dance" and saw I had plenty of brake pad and my rotors were to spec and not scored. Tires were in good shape and wheels/ball joints strong. After 2 hours at this Firestone I was informed that my car failed due to brakes and I would need new front pad and rotors. I indicated I had just inspected them a few days earlier and knew that there was plenty of pad wear remaining - and he quickly backtracked indicating that the rotors were "pitted" - and that the pads were actually OK, but "probably should be replaced".........after being caught in a lie. My PA Emissions were exempt as I had driven less than 5000 miles the previous year - no need for a test, and should have only been charged $11 for the window sticker - but I was charged for the test and PA Emission Data report. There was no test performed as I was exempt, but he indicated "we charge for it anyway as a total PA inspection fee". This is illegal, and clearly indicated as separate tests and charged separately as well. $40 for Emissions, $1.95 Emission data report. I will be reporting this facility to PennDot for Inspection Fraud and hopefully with enough complaints they will lose their PA Inspection license. With Firestone in Montgomeryville it's basically a license to steal. Don't go there. You've been warned. read more

made the huge mistake of taking my car to these rip off artists for my PA state inspection. They wanted to sell me a 500$ brake job that I didn't even need on a car that I drove to this place from my home. Then when I didn't want them to do the work they were trying to sell me, they say oh ok well your car will have to be towed out of here then. They would not release my car unless it left on a tow truck. Unbelievable. Would have called the cops on them but I had to get to work at 4pm that day. They tried really hard to rip me off and lied about multiple things that had to do with my car. Namely, that they had destroyed my rotors by hitting them off the car with a hammer. That's right, you heard it here first. Anyone who knows anything about cars should know that you don't beat a rotors off a car with a hammer because it will damage the bearing. Oh yeah and there's two screws that hold the rotor on. The service salesman was an arrogant young kid. These wannabe technicians are a joke and I will be sure to contact corporate about this. I am beyond pissed that I wasted my entire Saturday at this place trying to arrange a tow truck to bail me out of this shithole. Stay away. Do not go here! This place is a total rip off! Save your money and time and get your service somewhere else but not this Firestone location. I went to my appointment for 10am for tire change and wheel alignment. Quoted 1pm for completion time. When I got back, my car was still sitting in the same parking spot work not done. When I went into the store manager Wyatt informed me they had influx of people waiting at the store so my car didn't get started. No apology for the delay and just asked so what do you want me to do, work on your car or are you going to take it somewhere else? I understand things can get delayed but not this. I was told my car was next and other car going in for service that just arrived. Make things worse, I was quoted different than what I saw online and asked Wyatt again. He then said I was being a difficult customer and refused to provide the service. Threatened to call police lol which I welcome him to do. Never had experience like this, feel like I was racially profiled as everyone else who got their service was Caucasian and I am not. read more

Would give a 0 rating if I could. I don't write reviews at all, but my experience at this particular Firestone was unbelievably ridiculous and I wouldn't want anyone to experience anything similar. I went to this Firestone for my oil change and got it back (was overcharged for the oil change, but did not say anything about it. Also to note there was a "courtesy check" on the car in the receipt). On the way back from church, my car (new Toyota 2021 Corolla) gave me a message saying my oil was low, a message I had never received. I called Firestone and they said some new cars had faulty sensors and if there were no strange sounds or vibrations to keep driving and that they would check it out again. Following their advice, I kept driving, but my car started to stop driving as the oil was low in the middle of the road. Thankfully, I stopped and started the car and got it to the nearest parking lot. I had to get my car towed and I let Firestone check the car, but they told me they have to let it sit through the day (this was the next day after the towing incident) to make sure everything is fine. They said they would take care of me by lending a rental car since I had to get to work the next day, but that as the rental car company was not open on Sundays, I had to wait the next day to get it. Next day (Monday) comes, I call to get the rental car, but they did not have any available until later that afternoon so I had to have my friends drop me off and pick me up from work. During work, I call to get an update on my car and they said they would get a rental car if I wanted to get a second inspection of the car from another company (which I was planning to do) I go to Firestone to pick my car up and lo and behold - no rental cars available. Keep in mind, the entire time that this is happening, my interactions with anyone from Firestone had been nothing, but rude workers who tried to rush me off the phone., even when all I'm doing is asking simple questions and when they were the ones that caused the error in the first place. The only person that kind of helped was what I was guessing the manager named Gavin who was the one giving me the claims that rental cars would be available and that my car would be taken care of and I got a refund and reimbursement for towing. I am never planning to use Firestone again. read more

I went here to get my white 2017 Acura MDX tires rotated a few month ago. Now after 7000 miles, I inspected the tires. The front tire treads are very low. This tells me that they never rotated by tires. The bold head manager wanted me to get an alignment done. This is a brand new car. I asked him to just balance my tires which cost me $40 but the rotation was free. This is just BS. I suspect that they didn't do either one. This place is a total rip off. Do not go here. You cannot trust them. I would give this place a ZERO star. Firestone or Bridgestone should be ashamed to employ untrustworthy people. Try to contact the place but phone keeps ringing and ringing. I brought my car in just for an inspection yesterday. They passed my car and missed the fog light was out (someone told me it was out less than 1/4mi and 10mins after I picked up the car and a friend confirmed it was out at dinner the night before and she forgot to tell me). They had my car 8am-3:30pm even though they told me it would be 2.5hrs max. All day would have been fine if I'd been told and could have prepped for it. I called immediately about the light and Brett, the manager, offered to replace the fog light they missed free of charge. Ok, that's decent customer service; at least he made an effort. Except, I brought it back this morning at the agreed time and he then shared it would take 2.5hrs to replace the fog light because the whole bumper needed to be removed. He said he didn't know that so didn't tell me when we spoke yesterday. I had to leave because I didn't have time to wait and didn't have time to pick it up before closing if I left it again. Did a little research because that didn't sound right. YouTube and another repair shop both confirmed this was a lie. It's a 15min job. Not only is this horrible customer service, but if they miss something as simple as a fog light, what else are they missing on their car inspections? read more

I made an appointment for 4:00 for an oil change. Was told it would take about an hour and a half so I went shopping at the mall. I came back at 6:00 (two full hours later) and my car had not moved. The man inside told me that one of their technicians went home for the day and they were understaffed, and could not fit me in for the day. I don't know why no one thought to call or let me know when they found out they couldn't see me, but if I didn't ask, they probably would have let me sit there for another hour before they closed. Absolutely rude. I understand that their technicians have lives too, but I would have liked to have known that before I wasted my entire afternoon waiting for maintenance that did not happen. read more

This place is awful. My car has never had worse service than here. First, I needed to buy tires and they were the cheapest price in town. While the car was in, they recommended a tune up and an oil change so I allowed them to do that. That was the start of what would become a $7000 expense. Days after the tune up the engine literally blew up. The engine block broke and I had to replace the entire engine. In addition one of the tires kept leaking air. They told me I would need a new tire pressure monitoring system to repair the tire. Of course instead of simply fixing the tire this was a $250 charge. Stupid me I let them do this as well just so that I could be done with them and move on with my life. Now after three visits back to this location I still don't have a tire that works. Please don't bring your car here. You are guaranteed to have expensive work to repair the work that they supposedly fixed. You know what burns me the most? They never once apologized for the problems. I will never bring my car back to this facility ever again. It's so bad that I'm considering talking to an attorney. read more

Respectful employees, fair prices, FREE wifi while waiting (though that's more of a standard now than a luxury, I guess...). Bathrooms are clean. That has to stand out when it comes to car repair shops. I'll take away a star only because they don't always finish when they say they will... though it's not by much of a time difference. I am very disappointed with Firestone in North Wales, PA because they did not fully repair my car. I took my Nissan Maxima there because "Engine Service" light came on, and the car was shaking/jerking when cold. They ran a diagnosis and recommended that I replaced the Throttle body. I picked up the car after the repair, the Engine light came on within 15 mins of driving. I took it back, they told me that they cleared the code again. The next day the light came back on again. Finally, they said they could not clear the code to have the computer recognized the new part, and I needed to take the car to a dealer myself to have the computer flashed and clear the code. This is embarrassing! It's no surprise Firestone has so many bad reviews. Since when a customer has to go to a dealer to complete a repair that Firestone was supposed to complete ( So much for Complete auto care). They even told me "Don't worry, the dealer should not charge an arm and a leg to flash the computer". Now I am driving around with Engine light on. This is bad because my car won't pass inspection with the light on. I am very disappointed and will never take my car there again, neither will I recommend Firestone to anyone ever again. I should have read the reviews before making an appointment here, stay away. They completely over charged for brake work on one wheel on my car where the pad had come loose and was grinding when braking. The cost of the pad was marked up 2.5x the regular price and the routers were double. They replaced both routers even though I only needed one side done without any explanation. They changed my brake fluid without explanation as well and charged me $80 for that alone. If this had not been an emergency, I would have walked out. read more

Damn... I wish I could get away with giving it no stars.... But Yelp won't let me... When I was in high school and college, I always took my car to the Firestone store near my hometown (York, PA) for tires and service. I loved it there because the customer service reps were great. They explained everything to me without condescension. And on days when they had a lot of people in the waiting room, they'd order pizza for all of us. Then I moved to Lansdale. And I took my car to the Firestone near the Montgomeryville Mall. And that changed the way I felt about Firestone. The customer service reps barely acknowledged me when I brought my car in. Whatever. As long as they fixed my car, I took it back. One day, as I was waiting, an old lady sitting near me started complaining about how the store was the kind of place that fixed one part and broke another so you had to come back. I thought to myself, "Whatever, lady. If you think they're doing that, why not just take your car somewhere else? It's your imagination." Then one of the customer service reps came over to me to tell me that my windshield wiper fluid pump wasn't working and should be replaced. I forget how much it was supposed to cost. I looked at him and said, "Oh, that's weird. It was working this morning. Don't bother. I'll have my dad look at it when I go home." The service guys finished up with my car, I paid and went out to the car. The first thing I did after I started the car and fixed my seats and mirrors was spray my windshield with wiper fluid. It worked just fine. No problem with the pump. I haven't gone back. read more

I've been to quite a few different places to get my oil changed and this place is by far the worst. I scheduled an appointment so I wouldn't have to wait, and I've still been waiting for an hour. (Jiffy Lube does the oil, tops off all the fluids, vacuums the inside and washes my windows in less than 20 minutes.) While waiting, one of the guys comes over and says "your car needs this, this and this, it'll cost $800." Yea, UH, no. Quit trying to upsell me dude, I just want the oil changed. Also while waiting I heard MULTIPLE complaints from others. This one lady was told it will take 3 hours for them to check her tire pressure. This other guy was in there yelling about being lied to, something about a brake light. Needless to say I am neverrrrrrr coming back here. read more

Unfortunately, my car battery/alternator died in an unfamiliar place and I had to come here. It was ridiculously overpriced and I could tell they knew I didn't know much about cars. I was smart enough to know those prices were crazy! They put a new battery in when all that was needed was a new alternator, battery was new! If you're looking for a quick, cheap fix, do not come here! And I just found out after my car died AGAIN yesterday it was just a ground wire and I didn't need any if that new stuff! I've always used Firestone for car maintenance and have never been disappointed. I previously went to the Firestone in Exton. When I moved to this area, I started going to this Firestone. The employees are always friendly and helpful, and they do a great job helping me maintain my car so it will run as long as possible. Yes, when you take it in for any service (including an oil change), they do a courtesy check and make recommendations as to what other maintenance services you may need. That doesn't mean they're trying to swindle you; it means they're making you aware of future problems you may have. I was just there last night; I felt like I had a slow leak in one of my tires. They were really busy and I didn't have an appointment, but they were able to help me anyway---which I really appreciate. Thanks for all of your help! read more

Worst tire shop ever: I had a flat tire and came here to buy a new tire. I had to wait for a few hours for it...and when they finally handed me my "new tire", it was a wrong one. My friend and I tried very hard (in the rain, mind you) to install the "new tire" before realizing that they gave me a different tire. We had to drive back to the store and wait some more for them to prepare my (the right) tire. I did not get any apology from anybody. Unbelievable customer service! read more

Bill, the GM, and Ken, sales manager, are great. I had the unfortunate experience of going to another Firestone, (Ridge Pike in Trooper) where they treated me very poorly, talked down to me and did not do competent work on my vehicle (alignment). I called and spoke to Ken (Montgomery Mall location) and they got me set up to have 2 cars taken care of for the next day. First, they did my wife's inspection and lof. Then they took my truck to fix the issues from the other store and perform a lof as well. The other manager's (trooper location) response to the poor work was "that's why it has a warranty" and "as I told you before it'll take 2-3 hours to correct". Well let me tell you, Bill and his crew had the truck for a couple of hours did more work than the other shop and he personally test drove it to make sure it was right. What great service and commitment to the customer experience. I am very pleased with the care and quality of work that they performed. They cut a really big break on the cost of a new part and labor to make up for the problems that I had at the other location. I work in the automotive industry, actually I work for a competitor, however my shops do not perform State Inspections nor alignments. For any work that my shops cannot do, I will definitely bring here to the guys at The Montgomery mall location. I would definitely recommend them to others as well. Slow and terrible service. Are these guys slow or what. Everything takes time. The pathetic part is that you can see through the glass windows the mechanics taking their own sweet time to do everything from an oil change to changing tires.
