THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS !!!…read more If you're anywhere near Chicago and need diesel work--whether you're running a municipal fleet, a construction crew, or just a guy with a pickup--Chicagoland Diesel Services & Sales is the only shop you should trust. I've brought my 2003 Super Duty here multiple times, and every experience has been flawless. Steve, the owner, is one of the most knowledgeable and capable mechanics I've ever dealt with. He's honest, efficient, and doesn't push unnecessary work. His pricing is fair, his work is rock-solid, and his experience shows in every repair. This is the kind of integrity that used to be common--but now sets a shop apart. Josh at the front desk runs things smoothly. He communicates clearly, follows up promptly, and keeps everything organized--no guesswork, no nonsense. This shop isn't just doing basic diesel work--they're ASE and EVT certified, meaning they're trusted to service emergency vehicles, which says everything you need to know about the level of professionalism and precision they bring to the table. Their services include: * Fleet maintenance & repair * Light and medium duty truck repair * EVT-certified emergency vehicle service * Commercial vehicle sales & purchasing * Factory-authorized parts resale * Corporate, municipal, and fleet accounts Whether you're a single-truck operator or managing an entire department's fleet, no job is too big or too small. They treat every customer with the same level of respect, urgency, and attention to detail. In a world full of overpriced dealers and underqualified shops, Chicagoland Diesel is the gold standard. They've earned my business, and I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. If you want the job done right the first time, this is where you go.

I first went there to get an estimate after another tire shop company told me I needed all new…read moreshocks, struts, a new rim, & on & on, for my 2019 Kia Forte. I spoke with Carlos (Hub Cap City) about what the Mavis staff told me, & all the parts I supposedly needed replaced. Carlos brought my car into the garage to take a look himself. Then he brought me into the garage to see for myself, while my car was up high, he pointed out the parts the guys at Mavis said needed replacing...then gave a quick demonstration & showed me that the parts were still in very good condition. He told me there's a 0% chance that he'd tell me or anyone to replace any of what Mavis recommended. Even said that I still had up to 20K mi left in their current condition. And for the rim damage (a dent from chicago pothole) Mavis said I needed a new rim...would've been another $700. Carlos was able to repair the damaged rim for like $40, rather than saying I needed to spend $700 on a new rim. It was so rare, just so refreshing to go to a car/tire repair shop & not be sold lies & up-sold on every little thing. I've been going here for maintenance, new tires, tire repairs, brakes, shocks & struts, etc...everything but oil changes (they don't do). And if there's something wrong & Carlos doesn't think he can fix the problem, he doesn't use my car as a guinea pig & attempt to fix it & maybe cause more issues. He politely tells me he can't fix said problem... & still refers me to someone who specializes in what the problem is at that time (typically electrical issues). Carlos being honest with me from when I first stepped into HubCap City is why I still come here. It's now been over 7yrs & 2 cars, but I cat recommend HubCap City (& Carlos) enough!!! I'd give 10 if possible!

I wish I didn't have to give them a star at all! I went to this business in June 0f 2025 to have my…read morefront brakes done. The manager Carlos was extremely rude and disrespectful and I had every intention of not returning. I had my back brakes done at another business owned by a family friend a few months later, I still heard squeaking so I took my car back to him. He did an inspection on my front brakes and discovered the front brakes were installed improperly. I took my car back to Hub Cap City because they are supposed to be under warranty. They charged me 35 dollars for a brake inspection and told me I need front and back brakes. I JUST had my rear brakes done so I know that's not true and it hasn't even been a year since I had the front brakes done and they aren't taking responsibility that they did something wrong on their end. I have never needed brakes in under a year and the other business I had the rear brakes done at told me they were improperly installed. They're trying to charge me for their mistake to install them properly. I asked to speak to the owner named Steve and they are giving me the run around. The older lady at the front desk told me she would have him call and he has not called. I filed a complaint with the BBB and they avoided speaking to them. This also was not the first time the manager Carlos was rude and disrespectful and I should have not returned after he was the first time but the owner was so nice and accommodating that I gave them another chance. Customer service is HUGE, ESPECIALLY when you spend the kind of money needed for car repairs. PLEASE look elsewhere for better care and service because they don't deserve a dime of your hard earned money.
