We replaced the tire with my spare donut from the back but as those are only supposed to drive 50-70 miles and we had 300+ miles left to go, we needed to buy a longer lasting spare tire or replacement tire. My AAA - freakin useless, my liberty mutual roadside - useless, called every tow company, tire shop and roadside service in eastern Iowa, and in Illinois... not like we were in the middle of nowhere. Found one roadside that would bring a spare tire but they wanted $1,000 card hold..... We spoke to 30+ different places within that hour... Tires24 was literally the only place somewhat on the way that was open late. Someone answered right away, the guy on phone was patient and nice, assured us he would take us, even though we couldn't get there until right before closing because we had to drive below speed limit on the donut. When we got there, Lamont (the gentleman working) greeted us and understood and sympathized with our stressful trip there. He replaced the tire efficiently and was super professional and welcoming. The cost was surprisingly affordable, we weren't there very long at all which was great because we were exhausted. Lamont saved our asses and we highly recommend anyone in the NW illinois area call these guys first for tire and auto issues.

I typically go to discount tire right down the street from them, but they had a longer wait time. since it was an emergency, I decided to stop in here. I got a nail in my tire just two blocks away from them, thought it would be a quick fix. After waiting for over an hour, I was told my tires were too bald ( not true) for the repair. Mind you I had a vehicle inspection at my dealer two weeks prior and they said my tires were still in good condition. They would be the first ones to recommend Tires if they were showing major signs of wear. They knew I was desperate, I was late picking up my child from practice and it was getting dark, I wasnt just going to roll out of there on the flat. They said they did not want to be liable in case something happens to that tire due to it being bald. ( there should be waivers for this) I definitely feel like I was taken advantage of being a female. The technician came out with a quote for a full set of tires, $1500. Something I never asked for. I simply wanted a Repair and was forced to buy a brand new tire. Another thing I didn't like is that they went through my truck to search for the rim keys, I don't know if this is normal, but I felt like they should have asked me where they were before start searching through my belongings.

The owner, Jerry, personally inspected the vehicle, explicitly admitted verbal fault that his shop caused the damage, but flatly refused to pay the $850 factory replacement cost to restore my vehicle's axle balance and asset value. Shady, unprofessional practices. They will damage your premium wheels and refuse to make it right. Proceed with extreme caution if you value your vehicle.

I want to be completely transparent about my experience…read more I got a bad tear in my tire after hitting a metal pipe on Archer Avenue. The tire wouldn't hold air, and Pacheco's was nearby, so I stopped in. I was told the tire couldn't be repaired, which I understood. They said they had one tire in my size, used, for $80. Given the situation, I felt pressured but went ahead with it. To be fair, the tire was a Continental and appeared to be in very good condition--solid tread, no visible issues. I was even told that this tire was "gold," hard to come by, and that I had lucked out. Three days later, I decided to replace all four tires at another shop. Since Pacheco's had spoken so highly of the tire they sold me, I figured I'd sell it back. When I returned, I was told to speak with the owner. That's where things took a turn. The owner looked at the tire and said he would give me $5, claiming it wasn't perfect and that they have plenty of these in stock. That directly contradicted everything I was told just days earlier. When I questioned it, the response was essentially "$5 or nothing." So which is it? A rare, valuable tire--or one worth five bucks? I walked away disappointed and honestly disgusted by the dishonesty. I kept the tire as a spare since it's apparently "not perfect." This kind of inconsistency and misrepresentation is not good business practice, especially when someone is already dealing with an emergency. I hope others pay close attention. Don't take advantage of customers in vulnerable situations, and don't say one thing only to completely reverse it later. Trust matters.

On July 8, I towed my car off at this shop for an EPS light concern (my steering wheel wouldn't…read moreturn). After having my car for a week, no one called or gave any update regarding my car. July 16, I went up there to see what was going on, they explained to me that they are having a hard time finding the correct part for my car (electric steering pump) however they will call me when they find it. Also, they explained that the only problem with my car is the electric steering pump, after tearing my steering wheel down. Another goes by, no call or any update (July23) , so I call again, they explained that they found a part and will work on the repair Friday July 23. They called me and stated that my car was ready for pickup, I get there, they tell me that my steering wheel will make a click noise every time I turn because my "steering wheel is worn out". Even though, this clicking noise wasn't present before the repair, so how all of a sudden, it's worn out now ??? I paid $1,400 for an EPS repair and front-end alignment, but left with a new clicking noise in my steering wheel that was never there before. The clicking happens every time I turn the wheel, both while parked and driving, and I can feel it through the steering wheel. I felt unsatisfied after leaving because I had a huge concern that maybe something wasn't done right during the reassembly. When I brought the car back, the mechanics were completely dismissive. Instead of inspecting the vehicle or trying to determine why this new issue started immediately after the repair, they simply claimed my steering wheel was "worn out" and needed to be replaced. This was never mentioned during the original diagnosis, despite the steering system being taken apart for the repair. I expected much better customer service after spending $1,400. Rather than taking my concerns seriously, they refused to properly inspect the vehicle and left me feeling frustrated and unsatisfied. I now have to seek another repair for my vehicle through someone else all because they lack customer service skills and seem very scamful! How can you not look at paying customer's on a vehicle you worked on !!!????
