Dont know about the guy who purchased subpar rims from this place, sounds like he needed to research them before ordering them sight unseen. That being said, Ive bought my last three sets of tires from Tirerack and never had any issues. They dont install them, they just hand them to you off a loading dock. Then you get them installed at the place of your choosing. You should already have done your research, have read the tire reviews from independent sources, and know what tire you want. Then you get online and order them, then they will ship them to your house. If you buy tires from them and pick them up yourself, you can save 40 bucks. They can also ship them to one of their installer partners, like Pep boys or somewhere, and you can go have the installation done there. Prices are good, they will save you some money. Especially if you live close enough to pick them up yourself. No complaints so far. read more

I bought a set of 4 BF GOODRICH tires for my Chevy van. Very expensive tires. I also paid Tire Rack additionally to have them install the tires in my driveway. Aside from the installer hitting my passenger side door with the jack handle, install process wasn't a bad experience. When I got to driving the vehicle few days later, there was a noticeable wobble when speed hit 55+. I contacted Tire Rack several times. The rep told me that my tire was "out of round" and that I needed to bring it somewhere to get that verified and that they would reimburse up to $30 per tird for that service. The local Chevy dealer wanted double that price. I found a shop in North Haven, CT that dismounted the rims and re-balanced thd tires to diagnose where the wobble was coming from. I sent the receipt to Tire Rack via email. They gave me the runaround and did not reimburse me. Long story long, I'm out an additional $120 AND my van is still wobbling going down thd road. I haven't reported Tire Rack to the BBB yet, but plan to. Stay away from these people. They do not back their service or the tires thry sell. Very displeased. Stay clear from TireRack. They are dishonest and don't honor their guarantees. You know, when you're looking for tires, and you're thinking, hey, you know what that "two-year road hazard included" sounds good. Guess what. TireRack doesn't honor their tire guarantees. Here's my story. Short story: DO NOT buy from TireRack. Stay away at all costs. Longer story: I bought 4 tires in 2019 for $1,069.88 from TireRack, the another 4 245/45R18 Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Run Flat MO Run Flats in 2021 for $1,125.18. All the time, I thought, "you know what? It's comforting to know that in case something happens to these tires, they're covered." Well, after running TireRack tires for 3-years, something did happen. One of the tires blew out while on the highway. Yes, I was safe. Yes, it wasn't cool. About the time I was thinking bummer, I need to get new tires now, I thought, "Hey, wait, I had the "two-year road hazard included." So, awesome, I'll give TireRack a quick call and have a credit to buy new tires. Well, not so fast. I called TireRack. Apparently, they don't handle those claims. They contracted this out to nationalsafedrivers.com. Okay, no problem, find their website and submit the claim. I follow up. Nothing. I follow up again, nothing. Four months later, I get a cryptic reply that I need the TireRack receipt for the tires and the install receipt for the tires. I emailed ASAP Tire, who emailed me the invoice within minutes, which I forward to nationalsafedrivers.com to complete my claim. Now they say they don't have enough paperwork. Hey, there is no more paperwork. First, 100% of this transaction was done through TireRack; second, I forward the paperwork 3x over 4 months. Bottom line TireRack, hiding behind nationalsafedrivers.com doesn't honor their "two-year road hazard included." If you care about your car and are familiar with running on tires you feel are protected, you won't find them at TireRack. Don't waste your time as I did, preserve your time and family's safety, and go with a company that cares about their customers and the safety of their customers--and that my friend isn't TireRack. not really, I wanted this review to be read Buying tires online is a tough way to buy. if everything goes well then you are ok, but if any one of the tires have a problem it can cost you more money. I recently purchased 4 new Continental LX25 tires for my vehicle. I had them delivered to my installer. So far so good, when installing and road force balancing the tires one of the tires would not balance. The installer moved the tire 4 times on the rim in an attempt to balance no luck. if I had purchased locally they would have grabbed another tire from stock and that ended this story. I had to contact Tire Rack, they sent another tire three days later. I had to pay twice to install the same wheel. Tire Rack gave me less then 50% of what the second install cost back as a credit. Continental's policy says no refund for installation for tires purchased on-line. Buyer be aware, shop and buy tires at your local tire dealer. The online pricing is not that better if at all. This was the worst experience I have ever had buying tires I wish I just bought the rims and went to my usual tire guy to buy tires and mount and balance them for free cause these clowns at tire rack do not know how to do things properly and drag getting your tires for a month. So first I buy the tires and online it says they will be in by Friday and it's free shipping then I get a call that says the tires can't be shipped I ask them how is that my problem I paid for the tires and got free shipping so I tell the guy yeah I'll just get other tires and he says I'll see what I can do for you like the clown he is and super disrespectful guy and you can tell he hates his miserable life and job and he doesn't even put it in so I call back the next week and say where is the tires he says there still on back order and I say I asked for the other tires he says alright I'll put them in finally his little brain actually worked then they say the tires will be ready tomorrow at 12 and I'll have to pay an extra $100 cause the other tires costed more they should've covered the cost but they're clowns and don't know how to do proper business then the morning of the day I'm supposed to get my tires I get a call telling me that the clowns that were mounting and balancing my tires destroy the rims while putting them on and I could either get $50 off the destroyed rims or new rims I told them I bought brand new rims I want the brand new rims and tires I ordered not rims they were destroyed so the guy says I understand then he says they'll be ready on the next Friday I'm like these guys are clowns then today which is Friday the day I'm supposed to go pick them up I call them and they say it's not gonna be till Monday. All I can say is I will never buy tires from these clowns again unless they compensate me for my time this was supposed to be a easy online process buy the tires go pick them up and be done but it was the complete opposite. It's now Monday the day they said they would be ready and now there saying there still not done. I just recently made a $1,600.00 purchase for tires and rims and I could not be more dissapointed, or outraged about what transpired . I'm a collector of a number of classic cars and the tires and wheels purchased from the Tire Rack, were for my 1968 mustang, which I have owned since 1972. Acquiring the merchandice and taking my monies was the easy part for the Tire Rack, as the tires and rims were delivered after a few days to a local installer. The problem and it is a huge issue, is that the rims they sold are unworthy of any vehicle, in this world or the next. After four days on the car, the rims were coated with a filthy film that cannot be removed without a buffing machine. I contacted the Tire Rack and they said this is normal as this is a "polished wheel". WTF x 10000.99997? Who in their right mind, would want a subpar rim on a classic machine? How about a full disclosure statement, indicating that this rims will look ten years old after a few days or that "polished" aluminum doesn't stay polished. After numerous phone calls to get the rims returned, I had to finally demand that they "Take me to their leader"! After talking to management, I was I finally able to get them exchanged. However, I had to pay the cost of the installation which cost over $250!!! I will no longer be a customer of the Tire Rack, nor should you. read more

I placed an online order for a winter wheel and tire package. I selected Bridgestone WS90 snow tires which were "in stock" and available for delivery by "9/17/21". I selected the wheels, Sport Edition model F7 which were also "in stock" and available for delivery by "9/20/21". I also added TPMS sensors to be installed for an additional $176.00. I then went through the entire ordering process; address, credit card number, etc. Only after completing the whole process and authorizing them to charge my credit card was I given the notice that the "in stock" items were not going to be delivered by September 20th. The actual delivery date would be December 1st! Thinking that that date was an error I called the Customer Service Rep "Jax at extension 4730" and left a message for a call back. After 45 minutes he still hasn't called back. I emailed their customer service inbox. I asked them to cancel the order immediately, refund the $1576 and notify me when that had been done. So far no response. They are quick to charge your card but not as fast to issue refunds. Looks like I'm going to end up doing a formal billing dispute with my credit card company. I've done business with TireRack in the past with no complaints but based on this bait & switch nonsense I won't be dealing with them in the future. read more

We purchased tires and rims on line at Tirerack.com. We had them shipped to our mechanic, they came a few days later than stated in the confirmation email, not a big deal. After having them put on we realized they were the incorrect size. I called customer service to speak with them regarding exchanging the tires and rims. We were told we could return the old ones and UPS would pick them up as long as we purchased another set from them. OK, perfect... so I said to the gentleman in customer service that we literally wanted to exact same tire and rim just 18" instead of 17". He said no problem, we can do that for you. I asked him if we would get refunded and he said yes. He then switched us to sales to process the new order. I spoke with the gentleman in that department and ordered the new tires and rims which were about $200 more. I again asked him, the amount we would be refunded and he stated the full amount which was around $978.00. I told him I would call him back once we had the tires and rims off the car and at our residence(ups wouldn't pick up the return at the mechanic). We dropped the car at the mechanic and he changed the tires we drove back and picked it up along with the old tires and brought them home. I again called customer service to start the return process. This time I was unfortunate enough to get a non-customer service oriented employee on the phone. I told her we wanted to have ups pick up the tires and rims, to which she nastily replied that they don't take the rims back only the tires, and if we sent back both they would just dispose of the rims, and that our refund would be the amount of the tires ($77 each) minus a return fee, non of this was ever said to me by the other employees. She responded that of course I was told that and they have recorded conversations she could pull, to which I said go ahead I know what I was told. She then said if the sales guy told me this its because he doesn't know what happens in customer service department. REALLY? In what world does this happen. Anyways, I told her we would have never exchanged them because we would be out $700 and I would have to call back once I discussed it with my husband and NOT to process the return. She was very nasty in her responses basically calling me a liar.... Well 2 days later UPS showed up to pick up the tires!!! Thankfully it was early and we were home and outside, or he would have taken the tires!!! I am totally disgusted with the whole experience!! I will never order anything from this company again, nor will I ever recommend them to anyone!! read more
