Did an oil change & tire rotation on our 2015 Nissan Rogue. Dropped off and picked up a couple hrs later. Good service.

This review is based on our first experience with DeBroux which received good recommendations on…read moreYelp.com. Repair: replacement of knock sensor harness (which I supplied) and replacement of knock sensor. Cost: ($661) excluding harness. Shop personnel are very courteous and carefully explain what needs to be done and the costs involved. I used YouTube to review what the repair involved, and realized it was beyond my ability to desire to do the repair. The same car had the same repair before, and the bill was $164; at first I thought the $661 was pretty expensive; then I noted that the $164 repair cost was in 2018, so the higher cost could be a reflection of the increased cost of EVERYTHING since then. Would I take my car back for repair? Yes.

I called DeBroux Automotive to discuss a discrepancy before paying over $2,000 in scheduled…read morerepairs (transmission fluid and spark plugs). Matrix physically inspected the vehicle , and stated 2 belts need replacement while DeBroux said only one. As a single older woman with no family nearby and limited income, my truck's reliability is extremely important to me. The belts are my main concern -- without them working properly, my fear was the truck will soon become useless. I wanted assurance that after spending that much money, my truck would be reliable. When I politely raised this, the responses were snarky, sarcastic, (I think came from the owner himself) and rude. They said "look under the hood yourself" and "go to Kelly Hill". All customers, especially older women on fixed incomes, deserve basic respect and clear communication. Very disappointed. Rudeness and dismissive treatment from DeBroux hurt me deeply -- emotionally, physically, and spiritually. As an older single woman with limited support, being made to feel disrespected and like I had no right to ask for basic fairness or reliable service left me humiliated and drained, affecting my well-being and ability to show up fully for my patients and family. Since writing the above, I found a nice auto repair shop, with a very respectful owner, who told me "I didn't need to do any work now on it now". However, the other shop stated, when I"m ready (when the truck is giving me more problems), he would do the same work for 1/2 as much, saving me 1000 dollars. That is a 50% savings or a 100% savings since I need to do NOTHING now. This place is not as great as they think it is.

Had a leak of transmission fluid in my 2015 Mercedes GLA 250 diagnosed by my regular mechanic (who…read moredoes not do transmission work). He arranged towing my car to Mr Transmission after speaking to Mr Transmission by phone on October 22, 2026. I did not receive a call from Mr Transmission to confirm that they received my car or to ask me anything about what I knew about the problem. The fact is they never called me until October 27, when they told me to pick up my car. Between October 22 and 27 I initiated calls to them four times. Each time I got someone at the front desk who did not know anything about the work being done. I just received excuses that they did not have an open auto lift to put my car on, the mechanic was out getting parts, etc. This experience does not compare to others on Yelp* and Google reviews which stated service was timely, professional etc. On their call to me October 27, they used obfuscatory language to describe what they found and did. I did understand that they were going to charge me $747.47. They ask me several times who my mechanic was (remember my mechanic arranged towing of my car to Mr Transmission). They said my mechanic put two quarts too much oil in the motor on the last service, and advised that when I need an oil change I should bring it to them. I checked the work order from my mechanic on the last oil change, and they used 5.7 quarts which is the proper amount. At this point I was stuck. They had my car and I couldn't do without it, so I went to Mr Transmission on October 28, to pick it up. Upon entering the front office there was no one present to greet me and no bell to ring to get someone's attention. I waited a few minutes then walked to the back of the front office area where two men were seated at a desk talking. I called to them and explained that I was there to pickup my car. They seemed disappointed at being interrupted. One man stood up, walked toward me, offered to shake my hand and did so with a limp handshake (a weak handshake suggests weakness, low confidence, indifference, or a lack of engagement). He mumbled a list of things they did to my car and took my credit card and returned only the credit card receipt. He seemed satisfied that he had completed his duty. I informed him that for my records I needed an itemized receipt. He was upset that he had to give this routine service that all my mechanics supply. I followed to the office from which he came. He pulled out a legal size form which looked like a work order. I informed him that a copy of that would do. He replied that he couldn't do that because his copy machine only printed regular size forms and it would cut off the bottom of the legal size form. I told him that would be satisfactory. Without reply he sat down, pulled out at pad of 8x5.5 inch generic (ie. no professionally printed heading) and hand printed Mr Transmission at the top, followed by five lines of hard to decipher printing, and the bill for $747.47. There was no itemization of parts, labor, or tax. No mechanics name. This "receipt" was placed in my hand and I was ushered to the door. On the way out I was reminded to come back to Mr Transmission for my next oil change. I believe the figure of $747.47 for the bill was pulled out of thin air as there was no itemization of parts, labor, or tax. The lack of a figure for tax makes me wonder if this business is doing something fraudulent. I also believe Mr Transmission is padding the reviews. The Google reviews give a 5 star rating with 675 reviews, many of which are no brainers like good work, fair price, very professional etc. The Yelp* reviews are half 5 star and half 1 star. The 1 star reviews are very damning. It's very strange that on Yelp* there are no 2, 3, or 4 star ratings. Is Mr Transmission cooking the books on reviews? This review is being made on Sunday November 1. I will be checking with Better Business Bureau and any other pertinent entities tomorrow. Check back if anything else shows up. I hope this review helps someone looking for work on their vehicle. Avoid Mr Transmission. Bruce A

I took it there first because I knew they were going to need to keep the van for at least a day or two in order to fix the problem I had, and the car rental place was close by. I told the "Boys" what the symptoms were, and what I thought might be the problem. I advised them to test drive it at the speed that the problem began to appear. After 3 days, they told me the vehicle was ready, and I picked it up. I was told it was an out-of-balance tire. I respectfully disagreed with their fix, but picked the vehicle up. On my way to drop off the rental, the problem reared its ugly head again. Instead of returning to the "Boys", I had my helper follow me to Pensacola to Firestone on Davis Hwy. I spoke with the person at the counter, and explained the symptoms. I also told them it had been at a different place for 3 days, and it still wasn't fixed, and did not want to take it back. They identified the problem, corrected it, and had it back to me within 2 days. The moral of the story: Don't take your car to "The Boys" to do a man's job.

We dropped it off at 10:00 a.m. and when we called the next morning to pick up the vehicle the vehicle was not done. With it not being done we had to incur another day on the rental car. When we finally got to pick up our car he was still working on it and it was not done so we had to wait an additional hour at his shop. When we picked up our vehicle it was extremely dirty and wet from the heater core backflowing inside our vehicle. Our belongs from our dashboard glove box and our middle console were thrown around our vehicle in which they got dirty and wet. We had to call and message him to let him know that the glove box light was on constantly and the glove box was loose. Also our A/C unit was not blowing air out of the vent on the middle passenger side. We took it back to his shop for him to fix it however he fixed the glove box but broke the shut off switch to the a/c vent and now the vent blows air but we can not close it because he broke the lever that closes it. Our dashboard is loose and our cruise control doesn't work. We made him aware of the issues by text and voicemail message but it is very hard to get ahold of him.
