So my 4 star rating just plummeted to 1 and I which I could give zero stars. Perhaps I now know why I drove right in to the bays and the parking lot was empty at this time a week ago. First time treatment for this 9 year all star Yelp elite member. I was willing to overlook the excessive cost, $131 for an oil change and tire rotation after my $15 coupon. Do not visit these places, EVER, By not permitting photos, my only question is...what exactly are they hiding? Find a reputable place that treats its customers with respect. BTW: they gave me a sticker to place on my windshield to return in 3 months; with OS-17 full snythetic oil, the recommendation is once/year with annual mileage below 10-15 K. I came with the proper headlight, had auto zone look in the system down to the trim package. I Told Jennifer I'd be happy to buy vavolines if that was easier. He said they didn't have my light bulb in stock. Jennifer and the Vavoline staff took out my high beam light. I could see Jennifer signaling ("hand cutting neck") the young man who was under my hood to "stop". Lied to my face saying the person who sold me the light gave me the incorrect one. I looked online to verify. Ask Jennifer which one they took out as autozone and Google says the one he told me I needed was for high beam (which still worked) . His response "all of us have fat hands and can't access the low beam. It's really far down there." I said so "I do have the correct bulb." He closed my hood and signaled me out of the bay. I'm disappointed, I drive out of my way to patronize this location because I've previously loved this LaGrange location. But this is the second time I've come to this location and not been able to receive seamless service. First time they drained my oil and didn't have any oil filters to fit my vehicle. I can without a doubt say I won't be back. If they couldn't change the light, fine. But why lie? They're dishonest. Sad to say, this location is going downhill.

My husband did his homework before buying tires for my vintage car. The tires that had been on the…read morevehicle were close to but not the same size as the original tires. This lead to my speedometer not reading accurately and the tires getting some rub. After determining the correct size my husband decided he really wanted Firestone tires. Our local tire shop doesn't carry Firestone so we opted to try Michel Tires Plus in Louisville. The process went quite smooth. My husband ordered the tires and set an appointment for the following week to have the tires installed and balanced. The business also does an inspection at the same time for brake wear and several other mechanical functions. On the day we dropped the car off the tire shop kept in touch with a slight delay in when the vehicle would be ready. (Only about an hour later than had been originally indicated). We are happy as can be with the new tires and how the car drives. We also were happy with the price and the savings we got by getting their charge card. I would have given the business five stars but they indicated we would be needing a new battery in the near future. Based on that information my husband ordered a battery from an auto shop and then did some checking. It turns out we didn't need a battery at all so my husband had to cancel the battery he had ordered. Although you only need so many tires I can imagine that we would give Michel Tires Plus repeat business.

He immediately became argumentative, raised his voice, interrupted us, and showed no empathy for our concerns. He was dissmissive and told us we could get tires elsewhere. When I returned to pick up the vehicle, I calmly explained that while I understood the policy, I felt his approach was unprofessional--especially toward customers who had been loyal to the store for approximately 20 years. He became angry again, spoke over me in front of other customers, argued about how long we had been customers, and threatened to delete our account. When I told him I was shocked by the way he was speaking to me, he responded, "I am not just the manager, I am the owner and you get what you give!" And now I'm told they can get the oil filter and the price will be about the same as Valvoline. But while I'm here, let's get it done. The technician below is stripping out something underneath the vehicle and laughing, saying something like "this is gonna take 30 minutes." Again, undermining any possible confidence left! Though the technician below was determined to finish his speaker phone personal call. The job was finished. I was still the only customer brave enough to use National Auto Lube in 45 minutes. No cars waiting outside, After paying the same price I would've paid at Valvoline, I was ready to leave and the clueless above ground technician was guiding me out, when I heard a scream from below. Apparently underground technician guy wasn't done! Was this really happening...maybe my alarm would wake me from this nightmare! No it's real as I can hear barely audible begrudging commentary from Mr underground technician still. Grumbling about something inadequate underneath the car. Once again the pneumatic sound of stripping threads, and displeased commentary below. After a grueling 40 minutes of uncertainty and grumbling, I was being freed from this insane operation. As soon as the following day and after watching the ground after the car was parked, it was obvious this wasn't the case. We took my son's car to Medley's and they found the root cause to the issue. My husband has shared multiple times with people his disappointment in Meineke and that our money was wasted there. I can't imagine we'd come back after this experience or recommend them to someone asking for a car service provider.

Floor board soaking wet on passenger side, clean water. I do not expect to see any dye in the system when I return tomorrow. I wonder if they even changed the compressor and condenser or the expansion valves, or if they just recharged the system? When you can't put the Schrader valve caps back on or take a few minutes to unclog the A/C drain, it's difficult to trust you did anything else.

Between AI, my local mechanic, and a call to a Chevy dealer in Wisconsin, the pump and parts for $500, and a scheduled 2 hours of labor. Max: $1000. I approved the quote of $1800. Paid $1730. While the truck is running well and the staff was friendly, the value was absolutely not worth it. I live in Wisconsin and feel this rate was bending me over a barrel ... prison style. . The engine was smoking as I drove off. I took it back and they said they now steamed washed it and all was well. The car had a very small leak about once every week or two for the next couple of months. I decided to take my car to Pro Auto care. I asked for an oil change and to check out the leak. It turns out the oil filter was so tight the seal or cd something was no longer flush on the engine and allowed a lead (very small) of oil. Pro auto not only changed my oil but cleaned up the leaked oil and all seems well a couple of weeks later. Price is reasonable, people are professional and friendly. They tell you the truth and are quick, efficient and professional. Great service.
