My experience here this evening has made this the place that I will come for any tire business or anything else that they might cover carwise. In snowy weather, I had experienced a flat tire and was told by Midas, just around the corner from here, that they were open and that they could repair my tire and to come on over. They closed between the time that they told me to come by and that the time that I arrived. With about 25 minutes until the nearest places were closing for the evening I made it over to the nearest Ken's towery, but they were not really responsive to me sitting out there waiting, and I called tire discounters, knowing that they were closing in about 20 minutes with an absolute desperate situation. Snowy weather, a donut on my car, a tire needing repair in my trunk and two kids that were at their wits end. They took my tire and said they were gonna make sure that it was repairable and they did it. I think in about 25 minutes total, they had repaired my tire, put it on my car, put my donut away and got me all fixed up. And all for a very reasonable price too. About $45 which was right on par with everyone I had called to discuss this issue with. I don't know if it's because I called whilst on the verge of tears or if they just genuinely care about their customers, but I am a customer for life now and I am so grateful to the team there. I'm grateful to the manager who rang me up. I know these men were probably really looking to get home for the day. I am just so grateful. Thank you guys so much. read more

Stopped in to order tires on Monday, spent close to $800. Tuesday they were installed/balanced/aligned and missing all 4 valve caps noticed while fueling 40 miles away in addition to vibrations that were not there with my old tires. Wednesday they had no time available so Thursday they decided there was a bent wheel causing this. "Joe" the Manager says I hit a pothole. When I said I did not, he snarkily said "In 10 years you haven't hit a pothole??!!" as if I am lying and I say I've owned it 8 months and no pothole. He says he is moving it to rear so I won't notice it. I say this will prematurely wear a new tire, he rolls his eyes and tells me no and not to believe the internet. Meanwhile, the truck in the bay next to mine has been dropped off the lift so he is scurrying around looking at it. I go back to waiting room and owner of dropped truck looks like he cannot believe they have actually dropped his truck, I felt so bad for him. I go back out there and wait by my car for "Joe" to return and then I am told they have discovered 3 bent rims. I say I had no issues with my old tires, I have not had an accident, hit a curb or hit a pothole, and an inexperienced tech( like the one who just dropped the truck) must have damaged them when removing/installing. I am appalled by this situation and appalled that they did not "discover" any of this when they were balancing them the first time. "Joe" gets defensive and says he was not here when they were installed. He does not apologize for any of this, is annoyed that I am questioning this, does not tell me where I can get them repaired, does not show me economical wheel options in his store, calls the dealership and tells me they are $546 each and to go there. All along he has been short and snippy and extremely unprofessional, I am shocked that he is a manager and that this is how he provides customer service. I tell him I want the phone numbers to corporate and his boss. He says them extremely fast so I ask him to write them down. He refuses, he says type them in my phone. Again I say I need you to write them down and he refuses. I say his customer service is the worst and he is the rudest manager I have ever encountered anywhere. He tells me I am the rudest customer ever and to leave his store. Never, ever in my life have I experienced anything this bad as a customer from a business. I waited there for an hour until corporate customer service returned my call and made an extensive recorded report. Meanwhile, I am unable to go to North Carolina for the holiday weekend because my new tires and steering wheel are vibrating badly and I don't want further damage to my vehicle, the new tires or to risk my safety with a blowout.... Zero stars for this location and "Rude Joe", 1 star for salesman "Chris" because at least he told me to stay safe out there as I was leaving the store. read more

Not my first bad experience. But it will be my last. I had a screw in my tire and needed a flat repair done for the front of my tractor. It was a carry in. Service guy said the patches simply wouldn't work on my tire. I told him it worked on the other tire that needed a repair back in the summer, installed by my regular tire guy. He once again stated it won't work. Didn't offer to try. Never even asked to look at my tire. I left and went to Express Oil Change. The guys there was glad to help. If the patch fails tomorrow or next week or next month. The guys at Express Oil Change did one thing Tire Discounters did not. They tried and had a much better attitude. Brought my own 2 tires to be changed and needed an alignment and thought it was gonna be in and out... it wasn't I dropped my car off at 8:30am and then few hours later around 11:30 he calls me asking to confirm if the tires go in the front or the back so I assumed and he made it seem like they were working on it they was not. When I got there they just moved my car around and I had to wait another hour and a half for them to just do it. I asked them to leave me my old tires in the front passenger seat where I brought my 2 new ones to replace but instead I got my car back and they didn't even put it in there when they double checked and asked me before even doing it lol these guys have no communication whatsoever and guy with the mustache needs to work smarter around what's going on if it's too busy buddy has no clue how to talk to his coworkers read more

I feel comfortable coming here without fear of being taken advantage of on pricing. I've experienced that before at other places and it's not ok. 99% great. 1% life endangering. That's a 1-star review. Got 4 new tires, got the road hazard warranty, had my rear brakes done. A couple weeks later I started hearing a bit of a rattle in the front left. It's a 20 year old car with 20 year old car creaks and rattles, so I assumed I had a suspension item getting worn out. The sound got progressively louder over the next few days and I was legitimately worried that something horrible was about to happen so I took it in to a garage to get checked out. It turns out something horrible *was* about to happen. My tire was about to fall off. Tire Discounters had not torqued the lug nuts on my left front tire properly (all the rest were fine). It was a cheap repair, but still one that I think Tire Discounters should have covered. I took the receipt to them and got no response at all. They should be happy my tire didn't fall off and result in a much larger bill, or even injury to me or others as a result of this negligence. read more

Wow, Tire Discounters has done it again!!! I posted this morning about the amazing experience it was dealing with Georgetown,KY location in February. Today my daughter, who is used to driving a full size dodge truck popped yet another tire I found a location close to her job and spoke with Witt. This man went above and beyond once again picking her car up, new tire picked up car and delivered it back. I live in Austin, Tx and we don't have anything close to this impeccable customer service. James and Eddie provided outstanding customer service. First of all the showroom / waiting area was clean and the coffee was fresh when I arrived with my two young boys. James and Eddie were welcoming and helpful and we were ready to settle in for a tire change when Eddie offered to drive us back home (in our vehicle). Then he picked us back up when service was complete (we live fairly close to the store). I really thought they went above and beyond considering they also offered the best price of all the quotes we received. The staff is amazing. The free coffee is nice as well in the waiting area, which I didn't have to spend too much time there which is great. Eddie who I always deal with really focuses on customer satisfaction and ensuring the tire purchasing process is a pleasant experience. I went to Costco before to price tires and he told me all about the extra stuff they do. Eddie and the team were great and have earned my business. Another garage said that I needed new front ball joints for my truck at the cost of $1600. The TD team on Winchester Rd inspected my truck and determined that my ball joints were fine and that I needed new wheel bearings for $800. They honored my warranty with United Car Care (UCC) and went out of their way to process the paperwork that can be difficult if you know insurance. My share was only the $100 deductible and alignment cost that wasn't covered by UCC. Eddie also went out of his way to give me a ride home and offered to come pick me up. I have only been to this store once, but I had a good overall experience with them. I brought my car into their shop for an oil change and to have my charging system checked. This was because my brake and battery light on my car were flashing at me at random times. I also asked them for an inspection of the car to make sure everything they typically check, looked good and to have my tires rotated. I gave these guys my cell phone # to contact me when the car is done. I walked to work from their store that day as they are within walking distance from Mikro-Data. Eddie and Ethan real did a great job in helping me after we had a tire blow out on I75 during a recent visit to Lexington, KY. The spare tire on my SUV could not be accessed due to a rusted drop mechanism. Ethan worked over twenty minutes to try and fix it but no luck. Eddie said they wouldn't have the correct size tire until the next day, and we had to get back home to Columbus, OH. They replaced the tire with a good quality used tire to get me back on the road. No hassle, no BS, just great friendly service in about an hour! I would easily recommend them for new tires and service. I recommended them to my daughter and family, too. read more

Good work was done on my truck. It rides well and I'm pleased with the tires. What was most disappointing was the fact that they continued to provide me with inaccurate times for my truck being ready. Instead of simply telling me to pick up the truck before closing, they told me around noon, then they told me around 5pm. I called back at 5pm just to be sure, and they said they were retrieving my "finished truck." When I went to pick it up, an employee told me he never actually checked to see that my truck was ready. I had to return home, only to come BACK around 8pm. So while I'm pleased with the work that was done, I prefer honesty, transparency, and courtesy- and definitely not to have my time wasted. read more

I had my 1998 Toyota Camry worked on there last January. The repair technician put the wrong set of brake pads, rotors, and calipers on the car. My car is a V6 and the technician put on a set of 4 cylinder pads, rotors, and calipers. Needless to say, I now have to have the entire set replaced: brake pads, rotors, and calipers. Do not go here for big jobs. They can change your oil and replace tires, but do not use them for anything else. read more

I had a car towed to this location for repairs only to find out after the overpriced repairs were made that approximately $300 worth of personal property had been stolen from my car. After paying for the repairs I approached my car and found it unlocked and some of the contents of the car moved around in the cab. After calling the shop in an attempt to be reimbursed a represenative stated "I'm not sure what you want us to do about it." As many people know, this shop is located in one of the rougher areas of Lexington and it should be common practice for employees to keep customer's vehicles locked. If the shop had left $300 dollars worth of tools in my car by accident they would be losing their minds in order to get their property returned. I simply want reimbursed for property theft that was due to the neglect of the shop and they are unwilling to pay for it. I would avoid this location due to it's surrounding neighborhood and their unwillingness to pay for their neglect. I've even filed a police report and I'm still getting nowhere. I had a set of dry rotted Michelin tires. I contacted Michelin and they said I was to take my car to Tire Discounters and let them inspect the tires. I reviewed over 400 dollar discount on a new set of Michelin tires. The person that worked with me at Tire Discounters was James Ferguson. Dropped my BMW off today (2011 535i xdrive) for an alignment. After two hours or so I received a call from them stating that both the outer and inner tie rods were seized on both sides of the front of the vehicle. They claimed that they had been applying heat to free them, but could not get "any" to budge. I called an certified mechanic who has owned a repair shop for years, who has done work to many of my vehicles in the past, and he informed me that the inner tie rods on that model are not adjustable, only the outers were. The outer tie rods also have slits on both sides for penetrating fluid to be applied, and he also stated he has never had one not break loose. After speaking with him I went and picked the vehicle up and took it straight to the local bmw shop due to me being out of town. They took the car back and aligned it with no issues within a very reasonable amount of time with not having an appointment set. Moral of the story, I feel that they tried to deceive me to make more money. read more

I was in town for a funeral, which I told the guy at the counter, James. My car was vibrating and I brought it in just for them to balance the tires to see if it would help. However, he kept pushing to sell me four brand new tires. I declined and said I wanted to think about it. He proceeded to bring me in the back and look at a machine (that one of my tires were on) to show how my tires were old and causing the vibration. I ended up buying four new tires because I trusted this was the issue. It did not fix the problem at all. I drove it to a mechanic and in 5 minutes the guy comes back and shows me the Universal Joint was in horrible shape. Even with little mechanical experience, I could clearly see it. Tire Discounters should have done the right thing when they saw the UV joint and sent me to a mechanic. Instead they took advantage of a situation to sell me $400 worth of tires I didn't need. On top of having to grieve for a family member, I felt like I was taken advantage of. Not my best weekend. DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS. If you have doubts, firmly say no and go to another shop. read more

Brought in my car to replace brakes and rotors; after examining it, Tire Discounters called and quoted a $3400 price-tag. This for a 2002 Chevy Cavalier (Kelley Blue Book Value of about $2000 in good condition). I suggested I take it somewhere else, the guy said "I'm not even sure if we can get it back together." He offered to pay me $100 to scrap the car (keep in mind, car has perfectly working engine, battery, etc). When I called a local business from my hometown (about an hour and a half away) and mentioned what was wrong, they seemed to think I was being ripped off; long story short, I had the car towed an hour and a half away and looked at by someone else. Final price-tag including having it towed? $538. The car's brakes are fine. Tire Discounters attempted to charge nearly $3000 more than that, and then insultingly offered $100 to take my perfectly working car. Needless to say, I won't be returning. read more
