Got a flat on my 2007 Avalon. Came in for a new set of tires, and got an oil change while there. Told them the flat was in the trunk, right on top. Told them to put the spare, which was on the front right, back in the trunk. When the car was ready, I had 4 brand new tires on the car, and they took the flat and put it back beneath the trunk where the spare goes. They replaced the brand new spare. I made them put the spare back on the flat rim. Fast forward, i go to change my oil, and can't get the filter housing off, even broke a Toyota filter wrench, must have 500 lbs of torque. The Dry Ridge store can absolutely not be trusted, don't know if they're idiots, thieves, or both. read more

A buddy of mine tried to change a flat on my car and ended up breaking off the tire pressure sensor. I went in asking for them to replace the missing one and sync it to the system, which they did. However, I realized the next day that the same tire wasn't showing a sensor. I then realized that the sensors were on the wrong tires - they weren't in the places they said they were. I went back to the place and explained the situation - they replaced a sensor that WAS working, instead of installing a sensor that was no longer there. They just said, no, when one of them goes, they all start going, you need to buy another. I realize there's no way they could have known when the original sensor was out in a location where it wasn't really out - but they wouldn't do anything for me besides recommend buying more (and not acknowledging that they replaced a sensor instead of installing one where there was none). It's not entirely their fault, but I wasn't really pleased with the service (and those sensors are expensive). Went back a year later for tires and also left just desiring more on the Customer Service side. I don't recommend them to friends at this point. On the positive though, their sign is always hilarious. But I don't think I'll be back. read more

Very negative experience here, and now (4 days later) I suddenly have six warning lights on my dash: brake system, adaptive cruise control problem, lane-keeping assist problem, collision mitigation system problem, road departure mitigation system problem, and auto high-beam problem! It all started on Thursday when I took my Honda Odyssey to this shop because I wanted my left rear tire replaced--it was noisy, and the inner side was worn down pretty badly. They inspected it and recommended replacing a wheel bearing and doing an alignment in addition to the new tire. I agreed, though I was surprised since we had just had servicing and an inspection done recently, and nothing had been mentioned about needing these repairs. I asked for the cheapest new tire they had so I could at least get to my destination. After a military discount, the total came to around $930.00. Phew--I was not expecting that, but I agreed. I left the shop and returned around 5:45 p.m. to pick up my vehicle. After paying and driving off, I quickly realized I was hearing the SAME noise as before. I pulled over and checked the left rear tire. It was the same old tire. They had put the new tire on the front right side instead. I called and explained the issue, asking which tire we had agreed to replace. The man didn't even know or have it written down. He made it sound like nothing could be done since they were closing soon and told me it would have to wait until morning. I reminded him that I needed to get back on the road that night and that the left rear tire was the one we had agreed to replace. He reluctantly agreed to look at it again. I returned, and he rode with me to hear the noise. He did hear it, so they took the van back into the shop. After some time, they brought it back out, and we test-drove it again. This time, I didn't hear the noise. Back at the shop, however, I noticed the front right tire was still new, and the left rear tire looked old, just different. I asked what they had done, and he said they had moved my original front right tire to the back left. I reminded him again that I wanted the back left tire replaced with a NEW tire, just as we had agreed. I explained that I had a lot of weight in the back since I'm moving and have a full trunk. He seemed annoyed and argued that the front carries more weight because of the engine. Thankfully, one of his coworkers convinced him otherwise. They finally took the van back again and got the job done properly: the new tire went on the back left, and the original front right tire was put back where it belonged. Now, several days later, I'm dealing with a "light show" of warning lights on my dash. I am extremely disappointed with this experience. The main person I dealt with never apologized, never tried to make it right--nothing. If they had owned up and fixed it properly, it would be a different story. As it stands, I'll be warning others not to go here. read more

Brought our car in for an oil change and the guy working on it didn't tighten down the oil filter housing and after driving it home there was oil everywhere and wasn't any oil left in the car. They also left oil all over my seat and steering wheel. By the time we got home there was a ton of oil that leaked all over our driveway. It was a mess. When we contacted the store they apologized but would not fix the problem.We also tried corporate and they refused to help. I wouldn't bring my car to any of their locations because if something goes wrong corporate will not help. I've used them for years and this was extremely disappointing. read more

Been using this (Dry Ridge) store for years. Called on a Saturday to schedule an appointment for Monday to have brakes checked, tire rotation and "free" alignment check. He wanted to charge me $130.00 for the alignment and said its only if you buy 4 tires. They told me if I have it in by 9 AM, they will get it done in a few hours. Dropped it off Sunday night. Called Monday afternoon, around 4:30 to check on status. They told me they were putting the new tires on now and could come get it. (I didn't buy any tires) When I questioned what they were doing, they said they would get right on it and could come get it. "All rotors were within specs and the pads were fine." By the time I got home I heard the brakes still grinding, I noted the tires were not rotated as well. Took my car elsewhere to check the brakes, and they found the rear rotors were shot, and the pads were metal to metal and one side the pads had completely separated from their backing. So, basically I don't think they even drove into the shop. Had I trusted their diagnosis I most likely would have had NO brakes. These people are untrustworthy, and risking people's lives by lying to their customers. STAY AWAY! read more

Three weeks ago I took my van in to get an oil change & tire rotation & balance. Once they got my van back there they told me they could not do the tire rotation because the lug nuts were swollen & if they tried to take them off, they might break. Ordering lug nuts would take several days for them to get in. They would call me when they came in. 3 weeks later I called to check. After some back-and-forth I was told they did not have the lug nuts, but they could get them and have them there for me to bring in the van the next day. My appointment was at 10 AM. At 9 AM I got a phone call asking what kind of wheels I have, meaning they never ordered the lug nuts for the second time. My appointment was in an hour. I drove up there so they could order the right lug nuts, and I could find out if I had some kind of rare lug nuts. There's nothing special about my van. It's just a Dodge grand Caravan. Why does a tire store not have lug nuts and why does it take so long to get them? I got up there. They assured me they would have them later that same day. Somehow they're getting faster and faster with shipping. I told them that I would be there the next morning when they opened. At 8 AM I asked them to also do an alignment check. After an hour of sitting there with my back to the parking lot. I'm stretching and looking around and I see my van in the parking lot. I asked if it was done? The guy says no we didn't have all the lug nuts, but we do have all of them now And we'll get it right in and get it taken care of. Are you kidding me?!? I said something about the stellar customer service because I could've had someone pick me up. I could've spent time with my granddaughter and my daughter instead you just left me sitting here with zero communication. When I'm finally at the counter checking out he tells me he's not gonna charge me for the lug nuts. Thank you very much. That's the least you could do at this point. I ask about the alignment. He starts spewing some BS about it being normal wear. looks at the paper, they never did the alignment check. he has the audacity to ask if I would like to schedule another time to bring it in for the alignment check? Nobody likes to buy tires. However, Staff members were super nice and friendly. Great personalities made the wait easier and eased the concern that most females tend to have walking into any type of auto shop, which is that they may get talked down to. Definitely did not experience that here. The wait was a little longer than expected as they were pretty busy but I didn't mind at all and they threw in customer satisfaction discount which I did not expect or ask for but was a pleasant surprise. Will return in the future for any tire concerns I have. They did also have a veterans discount which is always nice as well. Great experience. read more

Don't ever ever go to tire discounters for anything!!!They put a sensor in Hattys car the light stayed on saying the pressure was wrong. They told us ( dry ridge) they couldn't fix it go to Walton location. They couldn't fix it either. We took it to a garage and they fixed it without a problem. We have spent about 1500 in two months for tires for me and Hattys cars but never again!!We asked Chris 3xs at the dry ridge location if he wanted the sensor back and he said "no keep it we will refund you". The corporate guy just called and said no we can't we will just give you the money back you spent on getting it fixed at the garage! What a liar! The sensor was not programmed and defective until the garage fixed it!!! They did this to a disabled veteran!!!! read more

A low tire pressure warning light led us to an unplanned visit to Tire Discounters as we were traveling south on I-75. Unfortunately our tire was not fixable. Fortunately we were able to get back on the road in less than an hour thanks to Clint and the awesome team. They showed us what the problem was and gave us several options. Even though we lost some travel time, we know it could have been so much worse. Everyone we encountered was very pleasant and did everything they could to get us out of there quickly. Hubby noticed a nail in the front tire of our vehicle. We're traveling from Minnesota, and on our way home tomorrow. We stopped in to see what could be done. The employee (sorry we didn't get his name) figured out the nail had entered sideways between two treads, and was no problem. Had a flat Saturday morning on I-75 on my way to Tennessee with family just passed the Dry Ridge exit. I put the spare on and went back to Dry Ridge location. The guys there had us back on the road with a new tire in about 45 minutes. We hardly had time to eat breakfast before they had us ready to go. Had a flat tire and took it in to TD. The tire had sidewall damage and they were to call us to let us know when the replacement tire would be there. No call, my wife called and they told my wife the sales womam, tried calling; I don't believe it as we have caller ID. So, we made an appointment for today, they had my wheel and new tire. We explained when making the appointment we had to be out of there within 45 minutes. Anyway, they didn't keep the appointment, I waited 35 minutes. I told Claire I was disappointed, but had to leave due to the previous appointment. She apologized and said they would discount our tire by 15%. When I made the trip back, the Service Manager, Jeremiah, or Jeremy presented me with the bill. I explained the saleswoman, I believe her name is Claire said we were to get a 15% discount off the $194. He said it was discounted, I explained this was not what I was offered. He said he couldn't give the discount as they would all be fired. I told him, I was going to complain to corporate. He said, "fine by me." This is not the same business I have dealt with in the past. Corporate, you have a management problem, that apparently includes infighting. read more

I went in to get brakes put on the front of my Camry. They charged twice as much as the quoted price. The brakes are worse now than they were before getting them replaced. The guy at the counter told me to go easy on them because they had a break in period. The brakes are now making a horrible noise that goes on after you take your foot off the pedal. This place is amazing. My niece and her family were driving home to Michigan from Florida. They had an emergency with their lug nuts having snapped off. There were financial issues and they still provided the service. They were so sympathetic and kind. They were worried about them making it back to Michigan safely. About a week ago we were traveling and stopped for the night at the exit Tire Discounters was at just by chance. After having a flat that turned out to be a not so easy tire change on our truck in Dayton and driving on the spare we felt lucky to spot Tire Discounters near the hotel. It was late afternoon and we asked if they could fix our flat so we could continue travels the next day. Much to our surprise, they fixed the flat, remounted it on the truck, returned the spare up under the truck, and then didn't charge us a dime, all in about a half hour. The kindness was very much appreciated on this day. These are the GOOD GUYS! Find a reason to go and do business with them! read more
