I decided I couldn't do worse than what I'd already experienced so I gave it a try. David is attentive, clearly knows his stuff after many years of working on vehicles in different settings (dealership, fleet work, etc.), and as I had to wait, has provided a pleasant little waiting room that is clean and comfortable. My 30-year-old car has 273K miles of wear and tear on any original parts, so the job turned out to be more than simply replacing the pads. The quoted estimate was $1500 for the pads, brake calipers, drums, brake rotors, hardware kits, fluid, and labor. I had seen my car on a lift before taking it to Advantage Auto, and after inspecting the wheels, I knew the brake job was going to be involved (which is part of the reason I didn't want to do it myself). Jason loaned me a car for the day, which I greatly appreciated. AA worked from 9:00 till around 5:30 (they had delays in receiving parts from across town), and got me out of there the same day. My final price of $1300 was lower than the estimated $1500, as they didn't charge me for all the replacement parts. The brakes have been working as needed over the last month. Was it a lot of money? Yes. Did I get what I paid for? Yes. Would I go back? Yes.

The experience was very professional and sales personnel were knowledgeable, friendly and answered all my questions as I selected size, type and price range. You can make appointment and drop off or arrive at schedule time and wait for service to be performed. I worked with Zach and highly recommend asking to speak to him, he is very patient and helpful. I also had good experiences having my F-150 serviced several times including once that required using computer connected diagnostic tools. My truck was making a terrible noise and was getting worse…read more I took it into a transmission shop that told me the transmission needed re-built and the cost was $3,800. I contacted On Site and Allen came out, drove my truck and said that the issue wasn't the transmission but the front wheel bearings. He replaced them and solved my issue. $3,800 verses $550. I highly recommend this guy.

He did say that there would be restocking fee if I cancel the job. I didn't care because he gave me his word, and I trusted him that he would fix the car. He NEVER SHOWED. He said he was going to refund me $800 and told me to return the parts myself to Auto Zone. I did and was refunded $587. I asked him to refund me the difference so we can remain civil about this; but Alan only calls back when he wants to.....very poor customer service. To any prospective customer: DO NOT trust his word. He claims to be honest and sincere. He might be until he gets your money. I have our full conversation that turned sour if anyone is considering hiring him. I might even seek legal counsel if this review does not make him refund the money.
