Unfortunately, I have trusted these positive reviews and choose him for my orthodontic treatment. Prior to signing the contract, I was told that the fee includes everything, including retainers. However, when there were negative outcomes caused by poor quality of orthodontic work, I was asked to pay for costly follow-up treatments. Despite paying extra on top the initially presented fee, the orthodontic work has been below par - to day the least. He even messed up my teeth when doing a standard orthodontic work such as removing the residual adhesive to restore a smooth and aesthetic surface. Now all my teeth have visible scratches and marks on the enamel. Don't make the same mistake I did. Ask family and friends for referral before choosing an orthodontist. UPDATE: Dr Tipton responded to my review in an attempt to try to blame his bad orthodontic work being cased by my alleged dental issues. He also downplayed the deep scratches and marks caused while removing the braces. The polish to remove these scratches made it even worse, as the scratches were so deep that he almost thinned the teeth. As mentioned in one of his patient's review, when you try to change to a different orthodontist due to his poor work, he refuses to refund the pro-rata amount. Dr Tipton and the staff give you the impression that they care, but when they almost max out your insurance coverage, which they accomplish in a short time due to unnecessary work, the care and treatment is reduced to the bare minimum. As the other patient review mentioned, Dr Tipton will not even have time for a 15 minute appointment to address concerns. read more

We have been very happy with Tipton Orthodontics. The staff and Dr. Tipton are awesome to work with. My son had a emergency situation that needed to be looked at right away and a staff member came in on Saturday when the office was closed to help us. We are here getting our third child braces. My wife had a broken retainer that she needed to get repaired ASAP. Of all the orthodontists and dentists, Tipton was open and, most importantly, around the corner. They got her in and out within minutes and will have a replacement retainer for her. They also took a look at me and they cost a LOT less than other orthodontists I have looked at for the procedure(s) to correct my underbite. Outside of that, the office staff were very friendly and professional. The slushes were excellent (Mix sour apple and tiger blood if you get the chance). The loft is definitely the place to go if you want to relax and watch TV. read more

Since day one from meeting and being so welcomed by Cheryl for a consultation, to getting to know the dental assistants and becoming friends with them over time, to always receiving the professionalism and help every time I call from Alice......... a little over two years later and NONE of the great things I have just mentioned have changed! If anything, everyone at Dr. Tiptons Ortho offices (Tempe/Gilbert) seem more of my friends now than just people I see at a Doctor visit. :D After 1.5 years of having orthodontic treatment, I had my braces taken off (I was told two years) and couldn't be happier with my smile! I highly recommend if you are looking for professional treatment for yourself or your children, you will be more than happy you chose Dr. Tipton Orthodontics. Throughout the time of having my orthodontic treatment I had lost multiple retainers (my irresponsibility of course and they joke around with me all the time about it, haha) and would have to get them replaced. Hence the fact that I often travel for work (2/3 of the year), they were able to schedule me in on the fly almost every time! Which I was so appreciative of. Another thing I was very appreciative of, was the fact that I had to reschedule quite a few times throughout the two years I've been visiting Dr. Tipton and they are very good at accommodating. I have a permanent brace set up on my lower four teeth. After 17 years with no issue the wire somehow curled up and was hurting my tongue. I could not eat and it was difficult to speak. I called them on Monday and explained my situation and they booked me appointment later that afternoon. I went in and the doctor took care of my issue very quickly and sent me on my way. Could not have been more nice, accommodating and helpful. I will be going back here soon to get some additional work done as these folks really helped me out in a bind. Not sure how many other folks would've done the same thing. read more

My son really liked this place a lot and this was the last place we got a consult at. It's like a little fun house here. My son loved the Loft area, which is filled with treats and other things to do. The staff and Dr. Tipton are super friendly and nice. I'm sure if we would have gone with Dr. Tipton, we would have loved coming here. His prices were typical of all but one of the orthos we went to. We were treated well, but we decided to go with an ortho that was more cost effective for us without all the frills. I can buy a lot of frills for the cost difference of $600-800 of our out of pocket. read more

These people are so rude and unprofessional, I seriously have no idea how they've managed to stay in business for so long. Right off the bat, I'm going to have to tell you that they would often "forget" to wear gloves or masks. Look, I get it. They're only human. But it happened on multiple occasions, with different people. It was completely disgusting and made me want to vomit. Then, there's how they treat their clients. I was there for a regular appointment, signed in, was waiting, got called over by one of the Harem Girls, she put a bib on me, said "I'll be right back." Okay. Fine. I don't mind waiting for a bit. But then I realized that Dr. T and four or five of his Harem Girls were standing around another patient. I don't mind that, either. Except that they weren't discussing her treatment or her teeth or anything. Just catching up; shooting the breeze. And I don't mind making casual chit-chat with patients, either, but they were standing there and talking with the lady for well over fifteen minutes, while I remained in the uncomfortable dentist chair! And on one particularly memorable occasion, one of the Harem Girls who was treating me spent most of my appointment looking at a file for a completely different patient! How do you even mess up that badly? The receptionist was exceptionally rude and standoffish to me, and made zero effort to make me feel either welcome or like she was even remotely trying to work around MY schedule, rather than hers. Look, I get it. It's a busy office, with lots of clients, and, since the target demographic for their services are the 10-18 age range (or whatever), all of the after-school slots fill up fast. Except that I was in university when I was using their services. I literally had three classes, and I told her that. She had no cares to give about that, and I ended up having to miss a class because of her poor behavior and generally terrible attitude towards me. And my personal favorite: Dr. T's Harem Girls. I'm not even sure why Dr. T even has the audacity to call the clinic after himself, because it's his Girls who do all of the "heavy lifting". In fact, most times when I was there, I wouldn't even see him. Or I might see him as he breezed through, but couldn't even be bothered to give so much as a "How ya doing?!" to me. I don't even think that I could tell you any of their names, too, which is the worst part. I don't know about the rest of you, but if somebody is going to be inside of me, I'd at least like to know their names. And that only leads me to question how much experience that they have. For the most part, they seemed to know what they're doing... for the most part. They left me with a "permanent retainer", and sent me on my way. However, the retainer keeps coming loose, and my regular dentist keeps asking me to go back to get it fixed. She even writes me a note and says "Tooth number X has a loose bracket; please fix". There was even a diagram, with the tooth in question CIRCLED. So the first time this happened, I went to Dr. T's with the note and showed it to them. They poked and prodded in my mouth for a good five minutes before basically saying "Dunno. I don't see any problem! What tooth was it again?" And since they didn't actually DO anything, the next time I went to see my regular dentist, she again told me that the retainer was loose. Gave me another note, and I went back to see Dr. T and his Harem Girls. The exact same thing happened. I now have enough notes from my regular dentist about this to wallpaper my house. I eventually went to another orthodontist, who just removed the stupid thing for me. And, considering that the retainer was broken anyway, it wasn't exactly doing any good to begin with... TL;DR: Awful people with questionable dental education providing horrible orthodontic services. Avoid. read more

Tipton Orthodontics is by far the best place to go to. Everyone is very nice and helpful. I have been going to them for about 10 years and have never had any problems. After I got my braces off my teeth looked perfect and I just recently went in for a new retainer. I would definitely recommend them to everyone. read more
