I loved my experience at Tipsy Salon of Jupiter. In great need of a haircut and was pointed in the direction of Tipsy Salon. I called the night before (around 8 pm) and was able to get a 10 am appointment the next day; I was visiting so I had time constraints and was so appreciative they could accommodate me on such short notice. I arrived and was greeted by Karen at the front desk. They have a little for coffee bar up front and a real bar in back (they even do some happy hours promoted on their website)! The salon is primarily nail and pedicure stations, but the whole location is bright, clean and welcoming. My appointment was with Nicole and she was FANTASTIC! Personal, knowledgeable and friendly, I was extremely confident in Nicole doing my hair. I love a good hair washing and scalp massage when I get my haircut and Nicole did not disappoint. She took the time to talk through some options with my cut and style before,and during, my appointment. Very fairly priced and most importantly my hair looks GREAT! Thanks again Nicole! read more

Customer service was poor at front desk. Was checking out and tall blonde lady in the front said something to me very quickly while mumbling. Had a hard time processing what she was saying. She was then quick to send me to the side and register. I told her I was checking out. Then I gave her a gift card. Said there was only $55 dollars in it. I told her it's supposed to be $100. After a little bit of back and forth she then apologized. As I was leaving tip for the technician in an envelope she called another customer to go in front of me. So I had to step aside and walk around the other customer to give the tip envelope to the blonde lady. Such a rude person! Poor experience! read more

I have had several pedicures at the salon. Ken is my go to guy. He does such a nice pedicure and his massage is nothing short of amazing. The salon has many services and so many great people working here. The music is upbeat and not too loud. The salon is clean and has a very pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend it. I love coming here! I generally work with Ken, who is an absolute pro at what he does. Everything is always clean and tidy. I get gel manicures/pedicures and they turn out very nicely. I think the only thing that throws off the vibe a little is that some of the techs have to use the bar area as their workstations and it gets a little crowded. But I don't really mind. All I can say is "that's what I get for trying again". It's been years since I've been to this place for a pedicure because they cut my heal scrubbing the crap out of it with a pumice stone. So it's been years since I've been here, needless to say I thought I'd give them another try as my regular pedicurist has retired. Mistake! This time I got cut (drew blood) on the big thumb toe between the mail and the cuticle- how do you not know what you are doing that much?! Ugh! So frustrating- do not go here! Went and got a gel manicure, showed the manicurist(I believe her name was Sam) a picture of what I wanted pretty simple manicure design. She never asked what shape I wanted my nails, or asked if I wanted something to drink. Also didn't get any lotion or had massage at the end which maybe is standard. Anyway I went up to pay and was pretty shocked when I saw they charged me $20 for the design.. I figured maybe 5-10$ but nobody ever mentioned the extra cost. Terrible service Tipsy has gained a lot of popularity being a salon that offers you the luxury to enjoy an alcoholic beverage while getting a service done-which I think is a very cool concept! I was super stoked to try this place out with my Mom and sister, so I had an appointment booked a week in advance for 3 pedicures. Upon arrival the receptionist seemed very preoccupied and was not very pleasant. We unfortunately were not seated together which i was really disappointed by and on top of not being able to enjoy the experience together the pedicure was rushed and overpriced in my opinion ($32). For the amount of buzz this place has gotten I expected above and beyond customer service but sadly got the complete opposite. read more

While she took her time to ensure she gave me a wonderful experience, she also was quick with her work. She noticed I had a split toenail and did what she could to repair it and make it look fabulous under the polish. I booked an appointment for dip manicure and a regular pedicure. I arrived and checked in, the automated check in service wasn't showing my appointment with the registered number so it took a little longer to check in. I already knew what color I wanted so that didn't take long- the nail tech approached me and didn't introduce herself, she just asked if I had picked a color so I could sit down. The manicure process was fine, she worked really fast without taking time to ask me any questions except if I wanted them shorter and same shape (almond) the answer to both was yes however the shape came out as round, not almond. She didn't even put lotion on my hands when she was done. I had a pedicure scheduled right after, after sitting in the chair for 10 min I approached the manager and asked if I was going to be seated soon for my pedicure. She said they had forgot about it and she had given my appointment to someone else. I had to wait 30 min for someone to finish so I could get the pedicure with a different technician. That technician was so rude, I asked her for the same colors as my nails (by name) and she looked at me with a blank stare. My friend had to go pick the colors from the wall for me since I was already in the chair with feet soaking. The tech (Hannah) also never asked if I wanted the massage chair turned on or introduced herself. She didn't offer a place to wait and dry when I was done, and stood behind the register at the end to make sure she got a tip. They don't accept tip on a credit card and the atm in the shop wasn't working. Overall, they space was clean- the technicians appeared miserable and had an attitude and the manager was disorganized. Will not go back. I just paid for a mediocre manicure and a pedicure which is already messed up because it didn't dry. read more

I drove all the way from Miami just to see my girl August -- she's the greatest energy and kindest soul I've ever met. The ambiance of the place is a total vibe as well. I wouldn't go anywhere else. SO EXPENSIVE! I arrived and was the only person getting my haircut. Everyone else was getting their nails done. My stylist was really nice and did a good job on my haircut and partial highlight. When I was getting my foils done, the owner waved her over and was whispering about something to her. Then, unbeknownst to me the stylist did a mask on my hair after she washed it. When the owner rang me up it was $200 total!!! $35 additional for a mask I didn't ask for. I have never paid that much. I usually get my hair done by the owner of a salon and it's around $135 for a partial and haircut and I have never seen the cut and partial charged separately. A cut is always included in the price with the partial. I then had to tip for the $200 so I ended up spending $240!!!! I would have gone somewhere else with an owner that is a stylist. I thought Tipsy would be a little bit less expensive but definitely not. Ask for all prices up front!!! I also felt pressured to leave a review on Google when I was leaving. Paying and leaving was not a pleasant experience. read more

Sad to give them a one star when Priscilla my hairstylist was amazing and did a great job. Never got the name of the lady that did my nails and toes, but she rushed through my pedicure and burnt me twice with the electric nail file because she was too worried about her phone and what was going on at the front desk after that the owner was supposed to do my eyelash lift and tint which my nail stylist was in room four and proceeded to do my left eye throughout the whole process before I left the business I told the owner why does my right eye look so good and my left eye looks clumpy told me it was not dry. Sent me with a eyelash brush from there. I walked out of the business went to my car with eyelash brush, my whole eyelash was rolled up onto my top lid, so I walked back in which the manager were standing at the front desk and I told her look this is not OK. She proceeded to tell me she would fix it as we're walking back to the room. I asked her if the other girl had had ever done eyelash lift tent and said no and proceeded to say that she wanted to learn that's why she was in the room. Meanwhile, the whole time the manager should've been showing her what to do and making sure that it was all OK but instead the whole 35 minutes, I was in the room. They proceeded to continuously talk over my face, it was not a relaxing experience at all, especially when my left eye totally kept burning and at the end of the process the lady that had never done eyelash lift a fan and dried my eye to give me some type of instant relief, but that did not stop the pain that I was having due to the fact that she had no clue what she was doing in the manager was not actually overseeing what was going on for the simple fact as the manager never told me that this woman would be joining us in the room and would be learning on one of my eyes when I went back into the store. She wanted to give me a free eyebrow tint that I had already paid for to make things right when I told her she should've told me or any other client that someone with no experience experience in that specific area was dealing with my eye. She seemed nonchalant and very not. Sorry I'm still having issues with my eye and hoping that I don't wake up and have to go to the hospital. I usually have Jimmy who is incredible but he was not available so went here today and got dip for the first time with Tiffany on her recommendation and it looks absolutely awful. It is way too thick and the edges of all of my nails have no color on them. One of my nails even has a streak where the color is missing but was not noticed by the nail tech. No lotion or massage as I have received previously with gel and polish was left on my skin. Too much skin was removed at the cuticles so that there are scabs on some fingers. She was on FaceTime during my session which was unprofessional. I am visiting family for the weekend and the only options they gave me were to get it fixed by the same incompetent nail tech or to come back Monday which I am unable to do. So I left very very dissatisfied and will have to go pay to get it removed elsewhere. I prefer my plain unmanicured nails to what I have now. Very disappointed in the service and lack of resolution. Do not recommend!! I would only come here again if I had an appointment with Jimmy because he is wonderful. read more

I made an appointment a few days ago and checked in early & was told I have to wait 10-15 minutes bc Walk-in customers were there first. I'm sorry regular customers are the ones that keep small businesses open. Walk-in customers should understand there are customers with appointments and should be seen first. I've not been treated as I should and will not be coming back to this salon. In addition, they don't offer drinks to everyone. They literally chopped my entire eyebrow off, right before my birthday. I got a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. The nail technician convinced me to also get my eyebrows waxed and I did need it done, so I agreed. The lady ended up practically waxing off half of my eyebrow. I'm really upset about it because I got these services for my 30th birthday and now I'm going to have to pencil in my eyebrow and look absolutely ridiculous for my special event. I'm really embarrassed and very upset. I have never in my life seen anyone wax off that much hair. I would also like to mention that the nail technician didn't know where to find a specific nail color that I requested. She told me they didn't have that color. I asked her to ask someone else if they did have my color and another technician found the color I wanted. My technician seemed too lazy to look for me. There has been much improvement in the friendliness of staff on the front desk here in the last few years. There's a tall blonde lady on reception in particular who can't do enough and is very approachable and accommodating. I've had Sidney twice and she does a terrific job. No "thick" dips and pedis last 2+ weeks. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is: Tips are in cash only. There is an ATM but it times out and you're left wondering if it charged your bank - as well as having no cash for your tip. When this happens, front desk will give you cash on your card BUT they charge a dollar extra instead of just letting you put it on the tab. I've suggested they inform us on the confirmation text sent Re our appt, that only cash is accepted for tips. Hope this helps. It really is a great place apart from this. This place is clean, classy, and best of all relaxing. John did my nails and I have to say I could not be more happy, and It takes a lot for me to say that. I'm very particular in how I like my nails done and am constantly looking out for any mistakes (I know I need to work on it). The other family who was also scheduled with me had an appointment with "jimmy" who then got his flirt on with someone and canceled his appointment with my family and they had to find someone else to take his place. I am new to the area and was looking for a new nail salon. I made an appointment and when I got there my nail tech was Tony. Not friendly at all which I'm ok with. I asked him to cut them down a little. He cut them down way to short. I did try to communicate with him and couldn't. When he got to my next hand he asked how I want them cut. I told him they needed to match the other hand. He was not very nice at all. I told him I only wanted a light color pink. Because I thought the French would look ridiculous on short nails. When the time came to paint he proceeded to do a French manicure. I left there extremely disappointed in the way my nails looked. They honestly looked like stubs. I have curly hair, so it's been hard for me to find a stylist/hairdresser since mine moved away. She took the time to answer my questions as she scheduled my appointment.
