I don't think I'll be returning here. When I came in I was greeted and was told to go to the bathroom to wash my hands, which is totally fine, but they do not have running hot water in the bathroom. Also on my way to the bathroom I looked at their soakers and they didn't look very clean to me except for one. The others had nail polish on them. They should take that off and have them completely white and clear of anything. Then time came for my gel pedicure and my nail technician is getting my water ready (the cleanest tub, yay!) and they do not use liners. I was disappointed in that and I felt a little uncomfortable, but I stayed. It had been so long since I had a pedicure, I really wanted one and just relax. My nail tech was a bit rough on my feet. When she filed my nails she was close to cutting me. I was feeling the heat of the friction and I pulled back a little bit to indicate to her she was going too hard. She stopped just in time. Then when cleaning around the nail bed she hurt me. I said "ohh" quietly and she stopped trying to pull out the little piece of skin she was having trouble cutting. I feel like the nail file she was using wasn't the right fit to properly shape my nails. Then the pumice scrub came out and she was also pretty firm with her pressure to my heals and she only scrubbed the heals. Later that night my heals felt like they were on fire. I'm thinking OMG I hope I don't get an infection! I had one spot on each foot where there was skin peeling from my inner heals. I made sure to wash me feet thoroughly and spray rubbing alcohol and then moisturize my feet. By the next day my feet started to hurt less. My technician was very nice though. No one was mean or anything like that. Not much was said in that salon. The chairs are cute, but they are not massage chairs. I really enjoy the massage chairs to help me relax during a pedicure. The music was fun to listen to and the music videos were cool to watch. Not much harm done, but this salon is not for me. read more

My husband and one year old son just moved near circle j ranch area and have been trying out different businesses. We are upper middle class family, me working in the bio medical engineering industry and my husband in tv and film. I would have been a first time customer however two women that worked or owned the establishment (8-Sep-23) cancelled my appointment in the system because "I did not add time for designs". I went in the app to change it but it would not let me. Therefore I decided to head to my appointment and opt out of designs however when I got there the nail tech was not there and her colleague treated me as though I was a transit on Hollywood boulevard. Her tone was sarcastic and basically told me that I need to learn how to use the system correctly and that's what they have a system for. She could see everything in her system. Did not seem apologetic for the mix up basically was the rudest I have ever been treated in my LIFE for no reason. I can't believe I was about to spend my money there. She basically said you have No appointment here and then proceeded to do nails while I was still seated in their waiting area. I was sitting the entire conversation so In case they come back and lie about my demeanor. It is absolutely false, I had every reason to be happy since I just left the massage parlor next door! Super relaxed and momma was ready to get pampered. I sat there for a few seconds shocked - I got up and told her that "I understand being pregnant, I have been there before but it does not give you a reason to treat people this way" (knowing that her being pregnant had nothing to do with why they refused service to me). I left knowing that the first time I went in there an hour earlier the nail tech was acting like she didn't want me there. I smiled anyway not thinking they would create a false story to refuse service from me. Don't take my word for it sistas. Look at all of their images - white and Mexican or Latin decent. I don't recommend this place. I recently moved into the area and wanted to find a nail shop closer to my new home as back up to my current nail shop. I started off with Gel Pedicures because I wanted to work my way up to the full service. Immediately, I could tell that their experience level wasn't on the level of experience techs who bling out nails do hand painting etc but hey don't judge a book by its cover RIGHT! As I continued on with service I was pleasantly surprised that the Gel Pedi was good but when I went to pay I was told that I couldn't pay with my credit/debt card then was told well imma first time customer so just this time. That's seemed odd to me being a licensed IRS Enrolled Agent for the people and some red flags went up especially when you book through IG and credit cards are a method of payment..... But ok!! As I continued to book appointments for a Gel Pedi then Apres Gel X Nails I noticed that their experience level wasn't there at all. My first set of Apres lifted and I thought it was because I played too ruff with my new puppy so I ignored it but the second time they did the Apres nails were applied crooked and lifted again. It wasn't even a week between the new Apres set and lifting and this time no new puppy involved. I even went to get them fixed and on the way hime my thumb nail lifted. The final straw was me missing my Saturday GePedi appointment. I told Diana I would pay $20 for the missed appointment however I had an emergency that prevented me from coming. When speaking to the Manager she told me the missed appointment would cost me $35 which is the same cost of the Gel Pedi. I looked at her and told her I feel like she was trying to come up on me but here is the money and she said no only when you book again and I told her no take the money you need it and I would never book an appointment again. The Manager lacks people skills, she doesn't have the ability to do designs, hand painting or french tip yet shes really good with her attitude which is probably a reflection of owner. Beware! The salon is small and quiet, and they do an amazing job. I'm new to Gel X and love it - my last manicure lasted 4 weeks! Miranda was able to duplicate an inspo picture and she's super detail oriented. Be aware that you need to book each service separately which is a little confusing on the booking app. For example, if you want your cuticles trimmed, or nail art they each need their own booking when you make your appointment. And be sure to book at least two nail art slots if you want art on all of your nails so she has enough time to do it. I love my nails and I can't recommend them enough! read more

My first time in this nail salon was amazing. The staff were really nice and welcoming. I was so happy I found a nail salon in my area. The 2nd time I wanted to change my service which the manager(Maritza) told me I couldn't because the system doesn't let her make any changes and if I still want to make the change it would be the same price. Wth???.  So I went ahead and kept the Gel X.  The following day , two of my nails FELL OFF just by putting gloves (since I'm in the medical field). I called her right away and told Maritza what happend. Her answer was.. you probably hit them with something...REALLY??? Thats the answer you tell your clients??? First of ALL! My right thumb nail fell off and then the left index nail also fell off the same day. So how can I possibly hit both of my hands at the same time.  Instead of fixing the problem she told me I need to make another appointment for another day because they are all booked just to fix two nails which was NOT my fault they came off. As for the first time when I got GEL X, it lasted a month so how is it that it didn't even last ONE day! And now I have to wait THREE days without two of my nails!!! As, I waited to go back..ALL of my nails started lifting less than a week! She told me that they can only fix two nails and I would have to come back and fix the other ones another day! Instead of fixing my nails she offered me a refund. Now I have to find somewhere else to get them done. Which I'm fine with because what makes me think it won't happen again. Omg, I've never experienced this at a nail salon. AM I THE ONLY ONE THAT HAD THIS EXPERIENCED?? How embarrassing, very disappointing and frustrating. I don't understand how they make other client's nails look beautiful in the pictures?? making themselves feel so proud of their service when they don't even know how to do Gel X without falling off . It would've been nice if she would've been able to solve the issue without making it so complicated and such a hassle. NEVER AGAIN I WILL GO BACK! IT WAS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY! I came to this place couple of times, not really satisfied with the deluxe pedicure ( done by Miranda ) she can't even clean my toe nails well. When you feel the sides of it you can still feel the dry skin that should be removed. I had also done my overlay acrylic nails ombre with Maritza but this time I believe she didn't really do it well because a day after one of the acrylic fell off! Yes it fell off! Also I noticed that my nails were not cleaned well before putting on the overlay acrylic. Fast forward 2 days after the service two acrylic nails came off and within a week they were all gone. Take note I didn't even do anything, some of the nails came off without even me noticing it was already off. For both service I paid total $100! Yup! Yelp made me give a star or else I wouldn't because customer service sucks!! I'm not the type to write bad reviews but this time I feel like I should, I got my nails done on 12/29 and it was $85 when I got home within 2-3hours my polish started to peel on multiple nails. Assuming we had to rush and my polish didn't dry , also because she had another client. So today 12/30 I waited, they open at 10am, Rachel and Miranda didn't show up until 10:33 I went in and told Miranda can I get a polish change I'm not comfortable with this polish, she giggled and said she can fix the nails that were messed up but she can't change everything because she's completely booked for the day, but went to the booking site and she had an 3:30 appointment available, so she wants me to come back and pay another $25 that's not okay. Honestly at this point I I want my money back..This experience really put a bad taste in my mouth. Update 1/8 my nail came off and as you can see it's green, because Miranda left a gap between my natural nail and the tip that caused water to get in it further damaged my nail. I also ended up taking the polish off myself and redoing it. My nails didn't even last me 2 weeks, I paid $85 dollars! Now i remember why I don't come to this shop. I honestly want my money back. I'm so upset at this whole experience. I will NEVER come back here again and I will let everyone I know too, not to come here. I've been going to Tipsy Nails for about 2 months now and I have found my new nail place. I had tried a few places up here and either wasn't satisfied with the selection of nail colors, or just received poor service, so finding Tipsy Nails was such a relief! I love their colors and the way they do business. It's honestly not like any other salon I've ever been too, they take their time and what they do seriously, so as a client you have to book everything you're looking for. Today was my 3rd visit with Miranda (though I've had all 3 nail techs and I like them all!) and I'm obsessed with my nails! These are Gel X, something I've only found here in SCV and the design is incredible. I was a walk in and they were so nice to me and let me get my nails done without an appointment. The girl that did my nails suggested that for my second visit I try hard gel rather than normal gel because my nail length would be longer. I decided just to do it even with my nails shorter. This was probably the best decision I made. It has now been THREE full weeks of having these nails on and they are going strong. This cute little place is clean and the staff are friendly! Miss Miranda spent a lot of time, energy ,and effort on my nails and the results were outstanding! Checked out this new, small salon in town. My gel manicure came out nicely, although the manicure part of it was very no frills. No massage or lotion or anything, maybe they charge extra for that but they didn't offer anything. The drying light thing was full of the nail dust stuff. My hands had the stuff all over them, and even some fuzzies and things during the manicure. My pedicure was so-so, a couple of my nails were uneven and slanted, and when I tried to point it out she didn't seem to notice anything. It wasn't bad, but wasn't AMAZING either. Props for two nice girls who work there and the cute decor and chairs. One weird thing, they said we could only pay card the first time even though they have the stickers for the credit cards on their window and nowhere does it say cash only. read more

Called in on a Friday morning and was able to get an appointment last minute so props for that.. However, my nails (short acrylics full set and gel pedicure) not worth $105 plus a $10 tip I gave. Upon first glance when Miranda first got done with my nails, they looked nice which is why I tipped even though the price was already relatively high. When I got home, however, I looked at the sides of the nails because they felt bumpy and hair strands kept getting caught in between the nail fold and it was evident that she did not file it down properly to the shape of my nail and it overlapped beyond my nail fold. I had also told her I wanted a natural nude color (did not say gel) and she then hands me the keychain full of the plastic trays with finger nails that sample the nail polish colors they have and told me to pick from those so I did and she tells me until after she applies it onto the nails that it'll be a $5 extra charge because the color was gel.... and honey... as if that weren't bad enough... the bottle barely even had any polish. She had to turn the bottle upside down to get it to come out and my nails are clearly missing nail polish on the edges... Overall, not a good experience with this place... Oh and Rachel did my pedicure and was very serious the entire time and seemed agitated as she was bossy when she would tell me to put my feet in and out of the water.. I hate that I'm even writing this and I have never left a review before... but I have been a loyal customer for about 3 years now. Today I went in for a fill and as I was getting the gel removed the tech noticed my acrylic was getting a yellow/brown color. I was informed that I need to get a new set as I was getting a fungus and she was nervous it would go on to my actual nail. She was told by the owner to do the fill either way when we both decided that ultimately the best decision was to remove the acrylic. The other alternative was Gelx which is $90... of course they would make time for that.. I had wanted to do a removal and a new set but because the booking process is so terrible and they have no room for leeway I just got the removal. They wanted to charge me the price of a fill for the removal even though it was unsanitary and not healthy to do a fill. I am so thoroughly disappointed. Their policies suck and the customer service is even worse. read more

I love getting my nails done, but I have grown to dislike the long waits (even with appointments) and generic treatment that's essentially the same everywhere you go. Everything is by appointment only so you will actually be seen at your time. Not pushed back due to walk ins. Miranda has gotten to know me, my likes and needs (for work) and has done exceptional work everytime. I get so many compliments on my nails, all the time.
