Awesome space and great ciders! We loved the logo and interior design. It's a really cool space to sit and try some cider...in a really cool downtown Kannapolis area. I did a flight and enjoyed them. The "sweet" ones definitely weren't too sweet which was nice. The watermelon was my personal favorite, but I'd go back for a full glass of any of them. Great quick service as well!

I can't call myself a lover of cider, but I have sampled some great ones in the past and at the time it sounded very refreshing so I decided to stop in.

Great time at our first Oyster roast at the Windy Hill Orchard & Cidery! Oysters were steamed by…read moreSaltwater Markets and they did a great job of bringing fresh hot oysters out every half hour to all of the tables. Each standing table also had an empty tray to discard shells. Ample supplies were on hand - shuckers, gloves, paper towels, hot sauces, cocktail sauce, and saltines. Beverages were available for purchase - a selection of ciders and wine, soft drinks and bottled water. Many of their regular menu options are not served in the winter, but we find that to be a good reason to go back during peak season. All service was self service - walk up to the bar or walk over to find any oyster shucking supplies you may need. Souvenir glasses were also available. The staff who checked us in on arrival were kind enough to suggest we take those after our feast to avoid having to keep track of a pint glass while focused on our oyster shucking. A couple of fire pit spots were available and there were picnic tables under a covered shelter set up in the event that inclement weather moved in. It is truly a Windy hill - it's always windy when we are here and this event was no different. Live music was on hand - a solo artist with guitar whose name I didn't catch, but he was very talented and did a great job. He played mostly cover music from under the covered shelter area. Parking does involve a walk if you're not one of the very first to arrive. That walk is down a gravel path a little ways up the hill and not a great fit for wheel chairs or those who with mobility challenges. It would not be hard to drop someone off though near the front, then go park down the street and around the corner.

The orchard wasn't open for picking, but it was a beautiful day, so there were lots of picnic tables to sit and relax. After we shopped, we sat and enjoyed a donut and the outside. We arrived right as they opened on a Sunday, but it got very busy with families, small groups, dogs, and children after we arrived. This is a very family friendly spot, lots of parking, and a good amount of apple treats to enjoy. We had a nice time, and since it is only 1 hour from Charlotte area, will definitely go back again.

The Deets: During a visit to Salisbury during The Cheerwine Festival, we stopped to one of the sample tables in front of Bottle & Can and after my friends enjoyed some of the samples we decided to step inside to see what this bottle shop/bar was all about. Honestly, The Cheerwine Festival can get way too "people-y" and we had wanted some downtime from the long lines and crowds. We found just that oasis in Bottle & Can. We sat down at the bar and were delivered great service and conversation during our visit there. They had a great selection of draft beers/beverages as well as some good selections in the coolers to enjoy also. I found an Untitled Art Chocolate Dark Brew NA beer in the cooler that hit the spot perfectly for me and I had a couple while enjoying the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere of this bottle shop. They even had some snacks available for purchase such as popcorn, Lance cracker snacks, etc. Great staff, great atmosphere, and great beverage selection made Bottle & Can Salisbury a great find...very enjoyable visit!

We decided to stop here on the way home after hiking at Stone Mountain State Park. I only went in…read moresince we had our dog with us and they aren't dog friendly - which is their choice, some are and some aren't. It was actually a good thing that they weren't because I was disappointed with the tasting, so no reason for both of us to be disappointed. I knew going in I was not going to be a fan of their wines, so I only wanted to try their ciders. They only had two available to try. The standard cider and the sour cherry cider. So the standard cider wasn't even readily available to try. The person giving me the tasting had to tell me that I had to use my imagination as it wasn't ready, but this was the general taste that I would get. Uh okay. The sour cherry cider I thought was great, not very strong on the cherry flavor, but just enough. So essentially I paid for a cider tasting for one cider. Also disappointing that they only sell their cherry cider in growlers. As we don't drink all the time, we would prefer bottles just to have the small amount that we want from time to time, rather than having to drink a larger quantity all at once. So I left empty handed, instead of buying a package or two of bottle (which I would have done). I think they would do much better if they would sell something like cider in bottles like most cideries do. Another thing to mention, so the driveway is uphill/downhill one way. It is a short driveway, but again only one car at a time uphill/downhill. Unfortunately, as we were leaving, another car was coming in, so we had to back up going uphill back into the gravel parking lot - which has a tree with branches way too low, hit the roof of our SUV leaving and well, backing back in. Please trim your trees if you have a tree in the parking lot area. No desire to go back as they have nothing I like in the quantity for us.
