Came here for an early business dinner with my team. It was my first time visiting Wisconsin and there was no way I was leaving without trying the cheese curds. We tried both the fried cheese curds and the local goat cheese curds and it appeared the goat cheese was liked by most. I had a lamb burger and it was really nice and juicy. Had a passion fruit mojito. For dessert I had the cheesecake and a tasting of vanilla ice cream. The cheese cake was dense and had cherry compote. The ice cream they served was from Sassy Cow which in itself, I was told, is very popular. The portions are pretty big. It is a nice place and the ambiance suited business professionals as well as families alike.

The restaurant was fun. Great selection of on tap beers and a good whiskey selection. The lamb burger was delicious as were the cheese curds. I had the pistachio cherry cheesecake for dessert and I thought it was fantastic

Everything was just.. Ok. Nachos were fine thinner chips than a lot of places - that may be a good or bad thing to you, but my half of the plate barely had cheese. And I think the $3 to add chicken got us maybe 4 total bites of chicken. Chicken bacon Avacado sandwich was just OK all around. Tasteless chicken, weird blend with Avacado, very average bacon that added neither crunch not particular taste. Gyro Fries tasted like someone just dumped a ton of feta on a basket of fries. Allegedly there was tatziki sauce and other flavors, but they were drowned out. I didn't finish much of anything, which was visibly pretty obvious, and I didn't hide my disappointment when the waitress checked in our meal, but no effort of any kind was made to ask why or try to improve on it. It was mid afternoon and not particularly busy, but it was UW graduation, so maybe all were just burned out from earlier?

Excellent burger and chicken salad. Good service and full bar. Wish they had more sides like coleslaw or chips.

I met some friends here for a casual dinner without much expectation. They have a cute cow-motif ambience but I think they could play it up more. Our service was just okay, but the server didn't seem to know much about the drinks, or maybe he wasn't interested in us and when I asked for guacamole (when the tacos were tasteless), he said they didn't come with guacamole, but were extra charge and walked away from the table. He didn't ask if I wanted it, but just seemed to say "no." I would have loved some! I had a cranberry frozen margarita and it was mostly delicious, but the last 1/4 was so tart, it was undrinkable. But the real let down was the tacos, which I left mostly on the plate. The beef tacos were bland, unspiced, and underwhelming. The beef was rubbery and sad.

We had to wait about 25 minutes for a table at Tipsy Cow in Sun Prairie, but it was definitely worth it. The cheese curds were absolutely amazing--crispy on the outside, perfectly melty inside, and full of flavor. Our drinks were great, and everything was very reasonably priced, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere was relaxed and fun, and the staff was friendly despite the busy evening. Definitely a solid spot if you're in the area and craving Wisconsin comfort food!

No Tipsy sauce just dry and ask for American cheese for an original PM.

Cool little lit up corner place with lots of windows, a casual bar, TV sports, nice bathrooms. Had a margarita and the best patty melt on rye, no spread is how I live mine. (Don't want a sweet melt with 1000 etc) Let me say ,.... It's DELICIOUS, grilled to perfection with the perfect crunch. I ordered 1/2 onion rings and it was still a lot. They were awesome too. Great service and drinks.

Very welcoming. Waitress was attentive and answered questions we had. The burger was cooked to perfection. The half order of fries was plentiful and we could have split that order. It was very clean and they quickly cleaned the table after the guests left. Tasteful decoration.

They simply have the best mac and cheese I've ever had in my life! They have the base Mac and cheese featuring a 3 year cheddar cream sauce, but then they can dial it up a notch with your choice of add ons! I consider myself lucky that one day I went in and they were offering beer cheese soup as a special. The burgers and tots are excellent as well!

We stopped here for dinner when we were in SunPraire for shopping. My husband was craving for burger and when we looked up, Tipsy Cow showed up as the nearest one that had burgers. Their website main page promotes the Local Lamb Burger, and by the looks of it he instantly decided that's the one he was gonna try. We ordered the burger, along with Alligator Bites and the Memphis Tots. The server mentioned that as the burgers didn't come with any sides, they offer anything from their appetizer menu as a half order. We stuck to full order as we intended to share the food between us. The alligator bites arrived first.. there was very little meat and felt chewy. I've had alligator before from Montana/Idaho area but it wasn't this chewy. The bites were okay I'd say - we'd probably not order them again. The rest of food arrived next. The service was pretty quick even though it seemed pretty busy. We seated in the outdoor area. It was very casual. The Memphis tots tasted great. I loved the spice... had to literally control myself not to over eat them, lol. The burger was pretty standard. We decided we didn't quite like the egg with the burger as it made everything messy and super ceded the taste of everything else. Couldn't quite tell if the meat was lamb or port or beef, as all we could taste was the egg. I being a super fan of eggs, didn't like the combination as such. We'd probably come back some other time again when we are in the area and hungry, but try other burgers and appetizers as it seemed like a promising menu.

Good burgers (many choices). Located in a busy shopping center. Outside looks pretty plain but the inside and the outdoor area are nicer.

Primal 'Cue BBQ in Sun Prairie is the real deal…read more I stopped in today and ordered the daily special: a double smoked ham sandwich with mac and cheese on top. I don't throw this around lightly, but that was one of the most delicious sandwiches I have eaten in my life. The smoke was deep, the ham was tender, and the mac and cheese on top was a legitimately inspired move. Absolutely killer combination. Having spent 25 years in the military, I lived all over the country and had some genuinely exceptional barbecue along the way. Places that locals swear by. Regional legends. All of it. Primal 'Cue still stands out as one of my all-time favorite barbecue spots. That says everything. Everything this place puts out is on point. If you are in Sun Prairie or anywhere near it and you have not been to Primal 'Cue, you are missing out. Stop what you are doing and go! NOW!

Stopped in for the first time before a hockey game. Ordering is easy-step up to the counter,…read moreorder, receive a number, find a seat. Same goes for those holding a tab at the bar (take a number and bring it back when you reorder). I am not sure how the sound level is on a non game night but Primal Cue could benefit from sound deadening panels on the ceiling as it became quite loud with sound ricoheting off the metal roof and hard surfaces. The food we tried was excellent-pulled pork, tri-tip (wed & thurs), and the cheesy potatoes. Ordered by the quarter pound, the meat was well smoked and tender, They have a well stocked bar with some solid beers on tap to choose from although $8 for an Eagle Park seemed a bit steep. I thought the food was priced fairly for the quality and skill used to prepare it. Not often in the Prairie of the Sun but love to come back to try their brisket-the true measuring stick to a legit bbq place (in my opinion). Definitely encourage others to stop in-some of the best in the Madison area.

Oh rats! I was hoping this place'd be better…read more.. Driven past this on roadtrips many a time; decided to actually stop in and check it out on the most recent trip. I'd been drawn in by the silly rodent statue on top of the building, because I like touristy shops. Upon entry I immediately realized the place was kind of dingy and gross. We got there with about half an hour 'til closing and this fact certainly showed in the affect of all the employees. I was curious about sampling some of the cheeses, but all of the employees were apparently too busy getting ready to close to help us, so we didn't get to try any of the many varieties. It was a bit odd to me to have potential customers there in the store during business hours, and the employees are steadfastly ignoring our presence to turn off the lights and such. We took the hint, quickly used the restroom, made a small courtesy purchase, then left. Speaking of the restroom, the floors were really sticky. Eww. Noticed they had lots of signage up that they were hiring. Yeah, they should probably hire someone who gives AF, if I'm being really honest, cuz it seems to me this place probably was great at one point but has fallen into disrepair. I got a couple pieces of taffy and hubby got a bag of nuts. We could tell from the taste/texture that these items had been sitting for awhile. I'm not a proponent of wasting food, but if your store can't turn products around before they're expired, I recommend perhaps just not selling those things and stick to cheese... Anyway, reckon we'll try out another of the many cheese shops in Wisconsin next time we drive through. There's certainly plenty to choose from!
