I've been coming to Tipsy Chicken since it opened almost 10 years ago. Food is made fresh and is always delicious. One of my favorite are the cheese sticks. Drinks prices are the best around. Best dive bar around, good music fun environment. Karaoke every TuesdayThursday, along with pool tournaments. Service is great, definitely a good place to have a good time. I highly recommend going. Open until 2 every night. read more

I didn't expect amazing service here, but the bartender was incredibly rude. She got my order wrong and then forced me to pay for her mistake, using the excuse that they're a "mom and pop" business. They literally lost customers over $10. Between that and the food being awful, I definitely won't be back. Save your money and drink at home. read more

I genuinely enjoyed my experience tonight! Amber is the bar tender and she was something special I have never seen before, really great at her job and a sweetheart! Thank you for making me smile and letting me have a great time on a Tuesday night unexpected ! This place will surprise you! Open till 2 am too! read more

Service was horrible. Sammy did his best to keep up with the demand but the other bartender, a while woman with short curly blonde hair was actively avoiding every minority in the bar. I am a white woman myself and could feel the race prejudice from the service alone. I hope this isn't the standard but if it is be warned, you and your minority friends will be ignored for their white quests. read more

PUBLIC SAFETY WARNING - PLEASE READ Witnessed Overserving, Violent Behavior, and a Hit-and-Run at Tipsy Chicken (Sachse, TX) I am sharing this because what my husband and I witnessed at Tipsy Chicken was extremely dangerous, and someone could have easily been killed -- especially during the holiday season. While we were dining, we saw two separate women who were dangerously intoxicated, which shows this establishment has no control over alcohol service and no awareness of when to cut someone off. Incident #1 (Inside the Restaurant): A Hispanic woman -- who openly stated she works at Chipotle -- was so drunk she could barely function. She walked up to me and my husband unprovoked and began verbally attacking us, calling us disrespectful names and causing a scene. She was so out of control that the bartender had to intervene and pull her away. Incident #2 (Parking Lot Hit-and-Run): A young Caucasian woman, who appeared to be driving a white Toyota Tacoma/Tundra pickup truck, was also extremely intoxicated. When she left the restaurant, she backed out and hit a black Range Rover in the parking lot. She looked directly at my husband after the collision and then sped away, committing a felony hit-and-run. This woman could have seriously injured or killed someone the moment she pulled onto the road. These two incidents happening back-to-back make it very clear that Tipsy Chicken is overserving alcohol without any responsibility or monitoring. They continue pouring drinks for people who are visibly impaired, prioritizing profit over safety. This level of negligence is unacceptable and dangerous. With the holiday season here -- when families are out, roads are crowded, and drunk driving incidents increase -- this lack of accountability could cost someone their life. Because of what we witnessed, I strongly believe their alcohol license should be reviewed. I will be contacting the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) to ensure this issue is properly investigated before something tragic occurs. The public deserves to be safe. Overserving drunk customers and allowing them to drive is a recipe for disaster. read more

Amid all of the negative reviews, I will focus mostly on the positive. My wife and I tried Tipsy Chicken because we were in the mood for Hot Wings and had recalled someone recommending this establishment because the Wings were large. So, seeking the most bang for our buck, we decided to give it a go. First Impression: Oh! This is actually a BAR! ...and Yes. I did feel quite naive for not having put two and two together, given the "Tipsy" in the name. That, my dear Yelpers, is called a "clue." Anyhoo... we stayed and made the most of the moment. My wife and I are on a keto diet again - or, at least we are making a best attempt - so, we both wanted a low carb beer choice. Sadly there was no Yuengling Flight or Corona Premier and neither of us drink Miller Lite or Michelob "Ultra" (yuck!)... so, we just went ahead and ordered a REAL "Bier" and opted for Heineken. We also both ordered Wings and a House Salad. My wife had the Mild Wings and I had half Cajun and half Damn Hot. The Bier was very cold which was a major plus. My wife, who is a low-level chilihead, said the Mild Wings were a five on the heat scale. I am somewhat of a high level chilihead and my Cajun Wings were about a two, to two and a half, while the Damn Hot Wings definitely hit a five. The Wings were good, although a tad bit overdone, with a couple of the flats having broken bones, which I know is off-putting to some eaters. Overall, I enjoyed the Wings. The house salads were plentiful and made with a mixture of greens with a LOT of crunch that was mostly from what I concluded was the carrots and lettuce pieces that were cut close to the head. Because the salads were served in oddly-shaped bowls and, because the Tipsy is dimply lit, it was difficult for me to see into my salad bowl. My wife, however, was able to see quite well into her bowl, and after catching some "movement" on the inside edge of her bowl, she retrieved a small fly that she believes was in the mixed greens. No Bueno! Our Server, Destiny, was very friendly, very pleasant and very attentive. Tipsy, while very musty and almost foul from years of cigarette smoking appeared clean and well kept otherwise. The restrooms were cleaned and stocked, just obviously aged. I may re-visit Tipsy Chicken again, but at this point I am not yet 100% decided. In case you are considering a trip to this "joint," here's some good info for you: Weekly Specials: SUN - Hamburger and Waffle Fries $4.99 (Cheese add $1.00) MON - Half Price Boneless Wings (aka: Chicken Nuggets) TUE - $0.99 Street Tacos (Beef or Chicken) WED - $0.50 Hot Wings (Hard to Beat That Deal!) First time checking out The Tipsy Chicken on a Thursday and had a great time. Sophie and Amber were fantastic behind the bar -- friendly, quick, and easy to talk to. Ryan and John were great company too, fun to swap stories with and hear about the local scene. Shoutout to the KJ for starting my night off right -- after my first song he sent me over for a free shot, which Amber poured up. Little touches like that really make a place memorable. As someone who's been in the DJ/KJ world for years, I've seen slow nights turn into packed houses with just a few creative twists: * "First-time singer" spotlights to get shy guests up. * Small bar tab or drink ticket for the crowd favorite performance. * Short themed rounds ("90's throwbacks," "duet challenge") to keep things fresh. The Tipsy Chicken has an awesome base of people and staff -- it wouldn't take much to make Thursdays one of the busiest nights in town. I'll definitely be back. Thanks for the hospitality, Sophie and Amber! read more

Hardly any beer selections, waited 45 minutes for food. An hour for fries and they came out separately. There were maybe 8 people there. Maybe this is just for loyal locals, but don't recommend. read more

definitely just like you would want a dive bar to be! the atmosphere is excellent, with the customers and staff, having fun, making jokes and pool tables! it just like you see in the movies the kitchen is soooooo delicious. it was cooked fresh and you can ate the homemade difference with this kitchen. cheese sticks made in house from scratch, wings are bigger then any place I've been to around there, plus with the sauces and the cold drinks made by a awesome cheers style bartender. I have to say it's really great to watch them have drinks ready as I walk through the door and knowing exactly what so many others drink. and guess what!? they can actually remember names around these parts food is a 10/10 staff is a 10/10 service is a 10/10 read more

Tipsy Chicken is your quintessential dive bar. Went here because it was one of the few restaurants open on the Fourth of July. Walked into a smoke filled room which took me back to the 80s when people still smoked inside. This alone was disgusting but I overlooked it to get some food and leave. I asked the bartender for an old fashioned and he told me he didn't have the necessary bitters to make one. Like what? How do you not have the ingredients to make a standard bar drink. After that I ordered a sprite and some chicken wings and waited on the outside patio until my food was ready. The chicken wings were okay but this place is definitely for dive bar enthusiast. read more

We had the worse service and definitely not a place that makes you feel comfortable if your of color. The one star is for the Asain style chicken they are great this place is only worth getting the bone in breaded if you get boneless it's basically the size of a chicken nugget at chick FIL a. Rude bartender, awkward looks and terrible service couldn't even get the order right. Maybe after 5 is a good time to go when the older male bartender is working but the young lady is sooo rude read more

I put up with bad management, long wait time for to-go orders, and poor customer care for two years because the wings are AMAZING and will continue to be (sad I won't be enjoying them any more). But now I understand why they always had 3 stars. It's just there is a limit, and disrespect to customer is one I'm not willing to put up with. read more

Favorite bar in the area. Food is phenomenal, all made from scratch. Nothing disappoints. Service is extraordinary. Cece, Lucy, and Sam are amazing as well as the day bartenders. All of the regulars are gems and welcome newcomers with open arms. Karaoke is fun on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Make sure you come for .50 wing Wednesdays! They are wonderful! read more

We tried this place on a whim and it was nothing to brag about. The food is typical bar food but the taste seemed more like Aldi's Tyson wings they sell. I was not impressed by all means. The service was janky the man behind the counter seemed to cater more towards the other patrons if you get what im saying. Ambiance was none the room was heavily filled with cigarette smoke could barely breathe! read more

Food and service was good. The place is clean but old and run down. Beer was nice and cold, the wings were good and even better at 50 cents special on Wednesdays. read more

Well I gave this bar a chance . Wings were awesome drinks absolutely not! Bar tenders did not even know what I was ordering so we had to settle down for tequila shots and a side of sprite . Not for Latinos . Unfortunately we got kicked out for no reason came back from restroom and bouncer told us we had to close tab he was even African American and couldn't give us an answer so we left ! If you are from different race please don't go . We went to ice house after and treated us great! No Wonder a hole do not go! read more

I had the worst day of my life back in December, so I strolled down to the local pub. As I came in the bouncer said, "the ladies need to talk to you." I thought well my luck is about to turn around! I followed him to the bar where I was belittled, berated, and emasculated by the bartender, meghan. She stated that I came into the parking lot at a high rate of speed (impossible if you knew what I drove), was seen swerving through the lot (I stopped to look into the window), then said that I failed to park properly and hit the brick wall with my vehicle (unfortunately none of this is true). She then went on with a few derogatory statements, mostly about me being a drunk and the like. She refused me service, referencing the policy to refuse service to anyone, claiming that I was already too intoxicated. read more

I was visiting a friend that lives in this area. I was looking for some wings and came across this place. This was a huge mistake. I am a black male and I have never felt so uncomfortable. It took the bartender 20mins to acknowledge or speak to me. She lied to me about a min and max on wings. She overcharged me for a basic well drink. The place is full of smoke like it is 1993. They regulars and staff stared at me the whole time. I think they were trying to intimidate me. The bartender never returned to check in to see how I was doing. read more

The wings are some of the best around. Anyone that gave this place negative reviews was probably either a trouble maker or a non tipper.

Tuesday we stopped by the Tipsy Chicken to try some of the street tacos they have for 99 cents. The bar is very comfortable (Dive Bar), with a good crowd that were very friendly. The bartender was Gabby, who really livens up the bar! The beer is cold and Gabby is very interesting & attentive to her customers. My wife and Gabby really connected. After a couple drafts, we ordered the chicken and flour street tacos (3 each). Served with onions & cilantro and delicious Verde salsa (made in-house). We called some friends to stop by, they really enjoyed the tacos too! We will be returning on Tuesday for more tacos, cold beers and to enjoy Gabby's banter with the customers. read more
