I started going here over 12 years ago and have been going to my nail tech Amy ever since. The vibes were great at first then started to go down hill for a bit. My nail tech left to go to a different salon and I tired to stick it out at the salon but the newer people were so rude and yelling like fighting with each other over the shape I wanted my nails. Do not waste your money. Very unprofessional. She answered not one but two phone calls while she was doing my nails. My nails do not look the same. They are misshapen, charged me 50 dollars for a fill and 2 broken nails. While I understand the broken nails are my fault, but if I'm paying $50 for a fill my nails should at least look the same. I'm legitimately going to wait until they're outgrown enough so I can get a brand new set at my regular salon. Why I deviated from the place that always does them correctly is beyond me. Too bad I couldn't give no stars. The first girl told me my toes looked fine and I didnt need a polish change. The second girl or boy (in not sure of the gender and dont want to assume) decided to go eat and I had to wait for the 3rd girl who was sick making disgusting cough/clearing nose/ phlegm filled noises decided to cut my nails down and repolish and told me the color I picked was the same one she gave me which one was white and one was brown. The other 2 rude people retreated to the back to eat for 10 minutes..25 minutes later asked my daughter if she still wanted her fill. She declined. I found my new nail salon all thanks to word of mouth. My friend told me about this place and I wanted to try it out so I did. Me and my friend were brand new to this place and we loved it. The place is very small but worth it. They also offer pedicure services as well and 3D nail designs. All the prices were very low for great quality. A fill was only 15.00 and it comes with amazing work! They fixed both my friend and I nails, our nails were shaped wrong and they fixed it. The outcome of the nails were beyond beautiful. The lady who did my friends nails was hilarious and very kind, the lady I had wasn't friendly at all but she did a great job. The last place I was at doesn't compare to this place. I have been coming here for close to a year now and I am so happy I found my nail salon. The staff here are very friendly and always greet you when you first walk in the door. I have had almost everyone there do my nails and each one of them do a wonderful job sculpting my nails. One other plus for me is that they are very personable and always remember me. The price for a fill is super reasonable at 25 dollars. I would highly recommend calling to make an appointment on certain days and times- usually after work hours they are packed! I walked in, not a single person said hello. Told me to pick a color, I picked the color the women made a comment that I shouldn't do it and should do gel which I said no thank you. She didn't speak a word after that (to me) continuously yanked my arm. I told her the shape i wanted my nails and that I didn't want them short. She proceeded to make them short and not match one hand to the other, I also told her that I wanted them straight on the sides and not wide. This place used to be beautiful and friendly , unfortunately the building has decayed as has the staff. You're directed to sit and wait and then told that people have to leave for lunch when no other clients are in the building. The staff themselves told my mother and I that the colors we we're picking out, the product was too old to use but still on the shelf. I have been going to this nail salon for seven years since I moved into the area. Originally, they were amazing! Impeccable work, polite employees, and great customer service. After a change of ownership, the customer service started going downhill. The employees, except for the one original woman, are rude and don't have any respect for appointments or people's' time. They do not use provided phone numbers to contact customers when associates call out. Definitely a hidden gem, and don't be deceived by its lackluster appearance! Phenomenal place to get pink and white acrylic nails done!!! Usually salons just pack on the acrylic and then rely on the grinder/buffer to shape the nail - resulting in uneven nails and also 3 hours of your life wasted inhaling chemical fumes. Henry (or so he said) actually applied and shaped the acrylic beautifully with the brush alone. He was such a perfectionist that he even noticed when it was uneven, despite his expertise, and he went back to apply more acrylic and smooth it out. I'm uploading a picture so that others can see the beautiful final result. I was honestly out of there within an hour. That's basically Guinness book of world records worthy, in my opinion, since all past experiences with a full set have taken several hours. Price was the same as most places - $45. Love love love this place! Fast & friendly, although they are sometimes very busy so I would call ahead. Called an hour before closing once for a fill & full set and they told me to head over in 20 mins and they'd take care of my friend and I. We were there half an hour after closing time but the staff didn't seem annoyed or upset at all. Hai was very upbeat and funny, and did gorgeous coffin nails for my friend. Best Asian nail salon I have ever been to in the 20+ yrs I have been getting my nails done professionally. Why? 1. They care. Each nail tech works with a similar standard of Excellency. You will not leave with anything less than perfect nails. 2. You will feel respected. The nail techs actually talk with their customers and do not ignore them and carry on conversations with each other in Vietnamese. They build relationships with their customers and really care. 3. Great selection of polish, all of the time. 4. They work as a team. One tech who isn't busy might take off your polish or get your pedicure soak ready to help out while you wait. The core group is family and have been working together for awhile. Turnover is rare. I've been coming consistently since they opened about 5 yrs ago. I have tried other salons while traveling or on another side of the state for one reason or another. None of them compare and thus, I always return. I just moved to the area and was looking for a new nail salon to go to. The reviews were ok for this place and it was only 5 mins away from my house so I thought I'd give it a try. No one really greets you when you walk in and I ended up waiting 15 mins to get serviced. I asked for a gel mani and a pedi and they started me off with a mani, which is a first for me, and that wasn't a pleasant experience. The guy who did my nails didn't even give me a manicure, he simply scraped the old gel off my nails and then shaped them. He didn't bother to cut my cuticles, it just seemed like he was rushing because the salon was closing. I love getting my nails done and look forward to it and I was very unimpressed at Tip Top Nail. A lady did my toes and she while she did cut my cuticles and do a better job than the guy who did my nails, this was not the relaxing experience I was hoping for. They did not want to fix it to my liking and they were speaking Vietnamese the entire time. Today I left here with no design and regular polish. I'm highly upset. Honestly I am probably the most pickiest person when it comes to nail salons. I never write reviews because I am too busy and I never give all five stars but this place deserves it. I had a fashion show a few months back in Oki's Steakhouse right above the salon and I had nail polish on and that is a big no-no for shows and I had forgotten to pack nail polish remover in my modeling bag. I went to the saline below to see if they could take it off. They sat me down immediately got it off and they were so so genuine and interactive, and they didn't charge me. I always remembered that and I was looking for a new salon to go with my friend and one night this nail salon popped in my head. We drove there and it was almost closing time. They sat us down right away and they were super friendly (even though they probably wanted to go home), they complemented me and they were just s incredible. The nails were unbelievably flawless and I will never g to a different salon as along as I am living locally. It felt like I was getting my nails done by people I have known for my whole life. I've been a loyal customer for about 4 years now, I also refer all of my friends and family. I was always happy with the service as well as the great prices. However, I've noticed that ever since this place has gone under new management and gained new nail techs, it's going down the drain. The service is terrible, quality just isn't there anymore, and the wait time is ridiculous due to the lack in staffing, even when I have an appointment. I decided to give them one more try today. I chose my color and was handed the bottle of my choice and sat in the waiting chair. After about 35 minutes I finally put the nail polish bottle down only to notice that I was half opened and there was nail polish all over my hand. I got up to wash my hands and was asked if I had an appointment and that the wait would be another 30 minutes. Just left this salon with my best friend and witnessed completely unprofessional service. First of all we walked in and it took my friend a half hour to get a seat and get her nails started because the two women were focused on fixing my nails, which was humiliating for me because they were talking down about my nails, in front of other customers and it embarrassed me. My friend finally got her nails started by Miley and requested the almond shape. It was so crooked that my friend spoke up about it and the lady responded "take the file and do it yourself," and handed her the nail file and walked away. To top this off , she received a phone call from her father (my friend) and my friend said "we've been here for two hours sorry I am late dad," and Miley intruded on her private conversation and said "it's not our fault you've been here for two hours , you're difficult & high maitanence" I would not recommend this place to anyone we couldn't wait to leave. The customer service is appalling, I heard these horrendous comments, and was extremely surprised and finally Miley looked over at me at that moment and said "okay girls, finally you can leave lady!" After being a customer for over 3 years I noticed a $3 price increase upon paying. I was told that is a new charge for "nail cut down". I asked the owner why isn't there a sign notifying customers of a price change and she did not have an answer. She later pointed out their price chart that says nail cut down $3, however that is for nail cut down only. Customers should not have to pay additional $3 on top of the charges for the services they are getting. Nail cut down has always been included in my nail fill service and obviously needs to be done because nails grow...hence going to pay for a fill! This is just another way to make an additional $3 PER CUSTOMER and absolutely ridiculous! No matter what salon I've ever used filing, cutting or trimming down the grown out nail has never been an additional charge. Even my mother who only had a manicure was charged $3 extra to slightly file her nails. They are going to lose customers or tip money if they keep adding additional charges. read more
