We were given our trainer's contact info in case we had any questions or wanted additional info prior to the start date. Gina picked up Flossie and for the next three weeks we got pictures and videos every day of Flossie's training progress plus also information for us to learn about the training. All of this made the transition back home easy and seamless. Gina's instructions were clear and concise and she also made sure that we understood the hows and the whys of training. He was happy to follow the prompts she taught, even when they were coming from us! BS (Before Sue) he would pull us around on the leash, run up to other dogs to say hi, and generally not listen so well. From the initial consult with Kenzie, we felt very comfortable with how she approached training and her experience. When Charlie came back after 4 weeks, it was such a big change! No longer did we have to worry about leash pulling, picking up trash on walks, and being overcome with excitement whenever guests would visit. We can now enjoy our dog all of the time. We take her on long walks, she joins us at restaurants and events around the neighborhood, and overall is a much better behaved dog without losing her personality. Controlled K9 came to our home to evaluate her and recommended a four week board and train to work on basic obedience, leash manners, and off leash recall. We loved that she was taken in as a member of the family during her "boarding school," and they provided regular photos and updates on her progress throughout. She returned to us her same happy, sweet self in the house, but basically a new dog on leash! The Controlled K9 team trained us on how to continue her training, and remained super responsive to our follow up questions. Can't say enough good things about Confetti Dogs and John, the owner. We have a four-year-old Shih…read moretzu/Bishon mix and a one-year-old petite golden doodle who needed training and behavior adjustments. Between the two of them we needed help with some aggressiveness toward dogs, excessive barking, and some overall improvement with obeying commands. We previously hired a trainer for our shih-tsu when she was a pup to teach her basic sit, stay and walking commands which basically consisted of the trainer holding several one-on-one sessions with her then walking us through the various training techniques that had been introduced to her. Although our dog responded well for the trainer and us while with the trainer, we noticed this basic approach was just that - a basic approach, which really did not instill a solid foundation and personal connection between us and our dog since we were not directly involved with the training. John/Confetti on the other hand was front and center as he instructed us on the different techniques and commands to use to successfully instill good habits and sustained training and behavior performance. Seeing the results as John worked with the dogs and then getting the same results on our own has made a world of difference and has given us two pups who are much happier and content. Thank you John!
